You cant "fix" people. Only God can, from the inside out. Only the person can choose to change. I can tell within 5 minutes of meeting someone if they are truth-seeker or not. The Lord does not want us to waste our time either.
I did a character defects talk last night and had watched this beforehand. I used the Bethesda paralytic example in my talk. Get up, pick up your stuff, walk! Admit, stop blaming, do the work. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice and teaching us the freedom of giving it away. To the pastor in this, you're God kissed and we appreciate his word through you.
Great message even tho i disagree with some of it. Welfare is Gods provision for people; for whatever reason. To expect everyone to live one standard is ego-driven.
