katrina is one of the most naturally fundamentally sound vocalists that one may have the pleasure of hearing; she is so consistently good, esp live, in any environment that it's dang near criminal. if you enjoy a ridiculously strong voice that is a supreme belter & also a falsetto goddess (& everything in between, *especially* breath control & vocal agility), then katrina will never ever let you down...she's my favorite female vocalist today, sans so hyang (& don't even try to make me pick between the two, y'all)! katrina can hit whistle notes & some of the fullest, deepest sounding low notes i've ever heard a female pull off... not to mention she can belt (well) for oh, 42 seconds now (i think this is still her current record). please: absolute must listen to's for katrina velarde: whitney houston medley live at metro walk (most popular version, wearing a dark colored polka dot dress), & her most popular rendition of "somewhere over the rainbow", also live at metro walk. it's definitely not dorothy's version, that's for sure. ;)
