I mean in an interview after their Big Reunion performance they had mentioned Edele taking lead and how it made Keavy be in the background and pushed away. There were things they didnt know that they know now. I highly suggest you go and watch that interview.
Edele on the album version, and usually when they performed it live too (sadly seems to have dropped off setlists since the reunion!) Lindsay's voice actually suits the song really well, though- maybe they all thought this and decided she deserved lead for the tour!
I agree but it's wasn't Edele's call or fault, the label told them that she was the lead and that was that, if you watch the reunion documentary, Edele was clueless of how the others felt until after the band broke up. they have reconciled and are still performing together, this time as a unit with no lead singer.
They should have done a cover before releasing " Jessie hold on " I think they should taken a leaf out of Atomic Kitten etc book as covers were very pop orientated at the time and the girls here have shown they can do a good cover.. the second album to me was so boring compared to the first .. they tried to be mature too quick with their sound.. these girls should have been signed on by Disney etc that was their market.. and they really could have been bigger in USA
I love this version better than the one on the album, very underrated song. Lindsay sounds great with the lead and damn Sinead is cute.
