This item does not appear to be a surge protector which is a must have in Florida as we have lightning on the daily during the rainy season. However, I have installed it on an outlet that I can control by a wall switch and I only leave a lamp plugged into it. I do like the night light feature on the model that I purchased on Amazon.
Is not UL listed , Device has no recognized label on the device itself. My other surge protectors have these labels on the device. Also does not provide ground protection.
