Just made this for a birthday present for my Grandma!! I hope she likes it! You're an incredible artist!
Thank you so much 😀
The little white high lights look like white anemones that grow with bluebells, first class touch. A very helpful tutorial, thankyou.
Just seeing this and am reminded of the favorite movie, "Howard's End" when Leonard Bast walked all night to walk through the Blue Bell woods. I am loving this.
Oh, yes, I remember that!
Dearest Paul and Margot, I am a 65 years young, New subscriber. Since having found your site, it seems I can't get enough of watching your magical and magnificent tutorials. In only just a few days, I have learned more than I could possibly have imagined. Your tutorials on proper paper, quality paint brands and your best brush recommendations are invaluable. Having taken your tutorials to heart, I swiftly made some adjustments to the tools in my playbox and am looking forward to trying my hand at some of my favorite s. My greatest problem is that I have loved watching each and every one of your amazing creations and I want to try them all. You are truly an artist whose talent displays such a mastery of his craft that the viewer is drawn in from beginning to end on a sort of mystical, magical and mesmerizing journey. Thanks, ever so much, for being, not only a fabulously talented artist, but an absolutely hilarious character with a fabulous sense of humor. Cudoes to Margot...it would seem you have found your perfect mate, as you seem to be two peas in a pod. I look forward to each and every one of your tutorials and know that my own artwork has been immensely improved since having found you. If I could only wish for one thing, it would be for a bit more of your work done in'real time'. It definitely helps to give me a much better sense of the true timing of your thoughtful brush strokes vs the time lapse portions which tend to make me feel as though I must be painting at a snail's pace. I do realize that this might be a futile request due to the time constraints you are under. Now that I have gathered the proper tools, I am ready to get right at it! *My first project is going to be the very first that I feel so fortunate to have viewed, the window with the blue shutters. From there, my list of favorites is endless! Thank you, thank you, thank you....for taking the time to teach and share your blessed talent. A hearty toast to both you and Margot from this little old aspiring artist in New Hampshire, US.
Hi Deborah - what a lovely comment and delighted to be of help in your watercolour journey! - yes, lots more 'real time' section coming in all my new videos! Keep in touch and 'happy painting!'
Wow you are a star here! Thanks for your time and help. Please never stop posting these lovely tutorials.
Thank you! Will do!
Such a pretty scene. I want to sit on that bench and take it all in. I really enjoyed the real time painting.
You were spot on about the book; Watercolor Plus ! I found a copy and I
wanted to thank you for sharing the info. Excellent resource.
Glad it was helpful!
This is my third time watching this, and it’s one of my favorites. I absolutely love the heavier pencil drawing and in this case more than if it were an ink and wash. Your colors are vibrant and well placed, as is your lovely style. So full of life! Love your instructions and, of as always listening to you talk. ❤
Thank you so much 😀 - glad you enjoyed it .... 3 times!!!
140,000 miles of public walking paths while i have to risk life and limb by sharing an asphalt road with cars and trucks? Yet more evidence for the fact that I am a British soul trapped in an American body. And all those bluebells! So lovely! I especially like the glowing sky in this beautiful painting.
You’re a genius Paul! Absolutely love your brush strokes, which create the illusion of your vision.
Thank you! Cheers!
Always knew you were young at heart Paul........... ;)
Fantastic!!! Watching you paint is always a pleasure. You have an amazing talent. So happy you have decided to share it with us.
Thank you so much!
Simply a delight to watch this come to life.

Thank you again for your time to share with all of us. Always inspiring on Wednesdays.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful Paul! I saw some blue bells this morning and thought of you, and - voila! Thank you.
Nino from Australia. I follow as much as possible your watercolours and I enjoy it heaps. I have tried and enjoyed doing a few of yours. I watch as often as I can! And i like your humour 🤣this Bluebells one I loved, and will give it a shot. Regards
Thanks so much Nino!
I'm jealous, I've lived all over, and traveled the U.S. I couldn't recall having ever seen a bluebell woods. Apparently we don't have this as a natural phenomenon. So inspiring though
Wonderful! Always the best and practical lesson! Thank you, Paul!
My pleasure!
Those woodland scenes are beautiful and refreshing. You actually teach about nature through your paintings. Many thanks for your lovely woodland painting of bluebells. Really enjoyed this video. According to John Clare, 'All nature has a feeling: woods, fields, brooks, Are life eternal; and in silence they speak happiness beyond the reach of books.'
What a great comment - Many thanks Jillian
Wow! This painting is gorgeous. I love watching you paint in real time, your brush barely touches the paper. It’s like watching your mind think about where to put paint. So amazing. You are definitely the best watercolor teacher on TH-cam! Thank you for sharing your talent! God bless you!
Thank you so much 😀
Exactly my thoughts, J.P.!!!
Beautiful painting I loved it watching

I tried it out Paul and I think it's come out okay. Thankyou for the brilliant tutorial. Will post it on the FB group. On our side of the world there are no bluebells.

Beautiful painting; I love purple. It looks so beautiful where you live. I'm learning how to mix colors by watching your videos every week, and it's really helping me; thank you for that. Love the bluebell cup and your shirt, of course.

Your painting is More than Beautiful 🥰 Paul. Lovely tutorial - thank you very much. 🎨🖌️💙
Thank you so much 😀
Just love this painting. Paul, even in real time you are so fast. Amazing 💖
Thank you so much 😀
I have enjoyed watching this tutorial and will begin tonight-we are 5 hrs behind you. You have all the things I'm working on-the sketching(tonal values and proper proportions) and painting with the looseness I so admire of yours. I appreciate that we have to sketch this one as I can be lazy and have been using your templates when provided. Thanks, Barbara
No problem Barbara - have fun!
Thanks so much Paul! I really enjoyed this beautiful Bluebell Woods painting!
Glad you enjoyed it
As usual a great painting. Love watching.
Thanks so much!
This is lovely. I think I could adapt it for the wonderful Texas bluebonnets. Thanks again.
You are so welcome!
Good evening😊

Anie😊
You're welcome 😊
I love the way you do your traces free!
I have to do it!
I'm so rigid .
Wonderful Paul thankyou!
You are very welcome
Thank you! I had great fun painting along. :)
I really enjoyed this one Paul. With such a lovely area to walk you cannot help but be tempted to paint the bluebells.
Just one thing - how abut a picture of Molly some time.
Always greatly enjoy watching your videos! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I am learning that I often stop a painting before I have put in enough shadows to finish the composition. I enjoy landscapes. I am a Canadian living in the Andes mountains of Central Ecuador.. I would appreciate a landscape of rugged old mountains and browny mountain meadows and lakes..Scotish highlands come to mind. Having difficulty with the tonal values. Love your tutorials, learning so much.
Thank you for teaching us with this beautiful painting. I appreciate learning the pencil work.
Thank you so much 😀
Beautiful! You are an amazing artist. I am new at watercolor painting. I love your painting tutorials including the tips, subject, humor and the music that you choose. I always learn something new with each tutorial. Thank you for being the absolute best teacher! You are truly gifted as an artist and teacher. You inspire me.
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you! Beautiful! I would love to take a walk on that lane and then sit on the bench,
amidst the bluebells.
Me too - see you there!
Che dire caro Clark? Sei spettacolare!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊
oh I love that and bluebells always so thank you!
You are so welcome!
One may get panic with initial purple application for bluebell, the way it appears on the paper. But patient working with clear final aesthetics in mind is a patient game. Thanks for this tutorial
Thanks for that!
Thank you so much, Paul, what an inspiring tutorial, I’ll have a go at that this afternoon… thank you, again.
Have fun!
So beautiful. Awesome painting. Love your videos!
Molly is soooo cute!!!
She is a lovely dog ... but getting very old!
Your watercolour, reminds me of a, Camille pissarro watercolour he done. Your a brilliant teacher, you've given me a brilliant idea, of what to paint next!!! Cheers 🙂🙂😀
Thank you so much 😀
You are my teacher! 🙏😊
Thank you! 😃
Another great tutorial Paul. Thank you
How charming! I think I have "country" envy. Maybe it's because my Grandfather Benson was from England? Wonderful,as always.
Thanks Kileen and we'll raise a glass to Grandfather Benson!
@@ArtbyPaulClark Thank you 😊🥰
Captivating! Thank you. I'm looking at the bluebells in my garden as I write. I'll probably start with them.

Again thank you. I painted lupine in a forest in Idaho. I liked your looseness and will try the lupine again.
Wonderful! - have fun!
Lovely! Bluebell woods are so beautiful. Nice to see you use hot press. I have some but have not really tried it much so this will be a good exercise! Thanks, Paul.
Thank you! Cheers Gill - hope you are well!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Hey!!! Paul you are a legend
Lol!!! - thanks Momin!
you are a great teacher ....thank you
Bellissima l'unione matita acquarello, come sempre grazie. spiegazioni fantastiche in un inglese perfettamente capibile anche da un'italiana!
grazie!!!
Amazing . Thank you for these tutorials
Highlights for me, here, were the bold pencil work (it put me in mind of Ernest Shepard's) and the spectacular dappled light on the tree trunks.
Selalu memukau para penonton. Seni yang luar biasa
Oh Paul, this is beautiful!!
Cheers Shirley!
Beautiful...thank you Paul !
P.s Love this tutorial too.😊
Stunning… you are blessed to live near such an inspirational place. Your trusty rigger performed very well on this painting. The gouache at end… perfection… Thank u for inspiring us to do great things in watercolor..from central Valley California.
Thank you so much 😀
Your art always inspires me
Hi! Love your trees, beautiful painting live the light in It
A la semaine prochaine et merci encore😊
Thank you! Cheers Manon!
So beautiful I love bluebells
Cheers Mary!
This is beautiful and i will try this painting later tomorrow The colors are wonderful and i thank you for your inspiration
Im also intrigued and enchanted by the lovely voice singing in the background , so very nice to listen to
Great to hear - have fun!
Hmmmm. Just when I thought I wouldn't learn anything new, you proved me wrong. I am intrigued with the concept of going in heavy on the sketch. So far, most tutors emphasize drawing very lightly but this turned out amazing. Just goes to show that one should always experiment and try new methods. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
