    I would not laugh about that meager 70hp as the car is very light and had great handling. That is the reason how they won that many races. A good power to weight ratio is much more important then power alone. And a good handling in curves helps on the track a lot.

    993 Speedster! I could see myself driving that car every day! I don't see another car in the list that would be as versatile for daily driving, but maybe the 991 Club Sport. Still prefer that air-cooled 993, over the 991.

    The 911 SC/RS was a homogatuin special to get the 911 into group B rallying ! Dave Richards from Prodrive ran the cars - They were very sucessful here in Ireland with Henri Toivonen Billy Coleman and Saeed Al Hajari to name but a few - cars ran in 84 and 85. Great times and really suitable for Irish roads ! You will have to ask about Cathal CB Curley who in the 70s was unbeatable in a 2.7 RS 911 and later a 3.0 RSR 911

Cah-brio-ley. Not Cah-brie-O- lay. 🌮 I think that would be a Spanish pronunciation? Good effort on the information you provided. Read up on the Flachbua (flat nose) 911’s. Those are pretty rare too. Cheers

    I’ve never heard “cabriolet” pronounced that way, or near that often.
    I checked 6 different pronunciations sites, and all of them emphasize the first syllable, including the digital announcer that also sounded out the “T”. Can’t find any phonetic or spoken versions that put the emphasis on the “O” as this commentator chooses to do. I’ve surely been incorrect on words previously, but I believe the entire world, aside from this gent, tend to say “KA-brree-o-lay”. Hell, I’ll even go for “ka-bree-o-LAY”, if you’re French.

    1:16 ooof don't think I've heard worse butchering of a name. Piëch is pronounced "pee-eck". The ch isn't soft like in "Chicago", it's hard like in "character"

    • @CarsLifeYT
      @CarsLifeYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A video I watched pronounced it like “pye-ch” with the soft “ch”. Think that’s where I got it from. Thanks for the correction.

    The 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo S Flatnose (Flachbau) was not included in the most rarest list, only 76 was made world wide.

    Nice video but you absolutely butchered the pronunciation of Mansour Ojjeh's name - it's O-Jey, not whatever you said!

    • @CarsLifeYT

      I butchered a few pronunciations here! I thought I got that one right, though. I remember looking it up beforehand. Maybe my source wasn’t correct.

      Pretty standard of Porsche. I do like the Porsche design, but the times they venture out of their usual is when they create some of the coolest looking cars.

  • @Pablo-sr2zx

    914 8 is a very ugly looking car for a Porsche as they are normally very nice looking cars the 964 turbo has got to be the one I would rather have out of all of the ones that's on here

      Well specifically, the 911 GT1 Straßenversion which had about 20 units produced (could’ve made the tail-end of this list). They also had a one off, the 911 GT1-98 Straßenversion which is one of the coolest looking cars Porsche has ever made, in my opinion.
