why？6.2km concealment makes it stealthier than most gun boat. And only a pure torp boat like shima can out-spot you substantially, but they lack the fire power to fight you.plus smoke and good torps. Thus it is very competitive for caping.

He left two ships, both equipped with sonar against an American dd with slow torps so he could help defend a whole flank. I think it's fine.

Harugumo is a very hard ship to play..... you have to play it more like a light cruiser, capping generally is almost suicide
