    Love this deck. People are dismissing it and it can be quite difficult to play but it’s very rewarding.

    I’ve been playtesting this for the past few days, and the amount of cards that are basically starters is insane. Even Goblin can be a decent normal summon. Super consistent, pretty high ceiling, has enough room for non-engine, no archetype locks, plays through hand traps without much effort…it has all the makings of a Tier 1 or 2 deck. Looking at your list, I feel like TY-PHON would be pretty good in the ED, maybe Dharc as well.

      I have been playing the deck for a while now, and it is very consistent from the legacy of destruction support making goblin a great 1 card starter. Though when you run the deck for a while you will see that the deck is better when you see more 1 card starters because your boss monster recycles very well along with the fusion spell. When the infinite forbidden support comes out, you will see that the support makes a boss monster within 5 summons with no good interruptions. If going full combo you can make 2 combined creations 1 of the new fusion monster and set 4 of cranium fractured memento fusion bone party or forbidden droplet

    This is a difficult deck to pilot, but it's really solid now. I knew Konami would be unable to resist giving such a cool archetype some powerful cards, glad I invested early. I'll say you can play Sheep and Mace at 1 if you want more non-engine space (and a ROTA). 2 Sheep is ok as a potential extender. Mathematically, Prosp helps more hands extend through more interruption than Talents, but Talents is great too. I can tell you just threw the extra deck together with filler, but I'll mention Starving Venom, Dragostapelia, Chimera King, Anima, TYPHON (duh), Dharc & Selene, Herald of Mirage Lights. Underworld Goddess can be made with I:P after snatch stealing with Mace, so you use two of their monsters. I agree on not playing the Traps, especially Cranium Burst. It makes your end board frailer if you go for it instead of other available options (you lose harder to most forms of removal). Fracture Dance is better, not as heavily reliant on Combined Creation to do anything, hits backrow, outs targeting protected, but I can still see it being cut. There's some promising experimentation with the new Tachyon stuff too. The deck having absolutely no locks could make it a real problem in the future.

    I think at the very least, the Cranium Burst should be considered. Its a little matchup dependent but 5 on field negates on one card can completely hose some decks and still is quite annoying for others. I guess unless they're the one Dark World player at your regionals or something, then it can be sided out
    It adds additional layers of disruption to your board that isnt almost exclusively just a bunch of pops
    Hell, i think there's even an argument for the Fracture Dance too. The endboards of this deck generally have little to no inherent protection against boardbreakers, so having at least the Fracture Dance means you arent completely vulnerable after a single Raigeki.
    Maybe one or the other
    Also this deck wants to go first anyway, so in that sense theres no reason not to run 1

      I'd say Fracture Dance has more utility than Cranium Burst with the new support. Cranium Burst feels so bad when they just easily out it, or Combined Creation. Would definitely play if it was more like Apollousa and worked on all activated monster effects.

    • @narfd.8837
      @narfd.8837 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Yeah, the traps are bricks, but they are also needed to have actual layers of disruption. A simple Raigeki can leave you on almost nothing if you don't have a Fracture Dance to back it up, also, having traps to cycle back and forth makes your opponent prioritize your field in ways you can take advantage of. Furthermore it makes your Mace hand effect and your Horned Dragon much more potent and abusable to gain additional pluses from taking your opponents monsters and then popping the taken monster with Fracture Dance and trigger the field spell or you pop Horned Dragon with Fracture Dance and have up to 3 pops plus multiple other trigger effects to chainblock.

    Traps are way too important not to run. Cranium and fracture dance are amazing, they provide excellent disruption and negations making end boards much stronger for memento. I play memento and they are too important not to main deck.
    Even if you go second i dont see a problem. Deck can maindeck enough go second cards to still have room for trap cards. Which in case you win dice roll ensure stronger position and in case of going second actually help in finishing opponent of to have no chance of coming back once you crack their board with go second tools which fracture dance can help too when breaking boards.
    Just because they are traps does not mean they arent good enough to be maindecked. Providing something monsters and spells cannot, extra layer of disruption and tools to deal with problem cards.

I think if you were bringing this deck to an event, you'd absolutely play one of the traps, in the side deck. I don't want to see either of them if I'm going second, but if I know I'm guessing first in game 2 or 3, having that trap will help a lot to diverisfy the end board to not lose to Dark Ruler or Droplet

      I've never really been a big fan of siding cards like that, its usually a main deck or don't situation for me. You're going first half of the time anyways and there are those situations where you can make it a contested game state and they come up turn 3 when you went second.
      For example I've always main decked reinforce in rescue ace. It helps you with most of your match ups going first and going second it makes resolving turb through a board a lot stronger. SE lists not on subversion sky fire or underworld goddess literally can not kill you through a boosted turb turn 3, and even if they are on those cards its far from an easy otk line.
