With all this hate and anger it appears that humankind will be extinct soon; there was a time when people did try to get along.I also wonder with the shortage of food, land, energy due to over-population in most countries, why the focus isn't on solving those problems instead of making new ones?

The leaders decide which sex is more needed (productive) for their country. Currently, in some countries the young married couples are opting not to have children. If the dinosaurs, etc: became extinct what makes you think humans can't also. A nuclear war would do the job for all living creatures, maybe not all the cockroaches. My point is, humans have the control to keep us going-reproducing (healthy humans); however, if we don't take the necessary steps now, we will all suffer greatly, and that takes working together, by choosing the leaders who believe in climate change issues, health concerns, etc: and are capable of working together with all other countries towards peace, rather than separating us and others, such as those with Authoritarian/Dictator goals.
