The Watergate scandal is nothing compared to what is going on in our government today.

You know, not knowing the side of the government that you are aligned yourself with.... I definitely have to agree with you.

Thank you America Before for all the hard work you put into these nostalgic videos. As a 'boomer' myself I'd love to see more 60s.

Bell bottoms are still in style though. 1970s fashion can be good but it's been in style for to long

Let's not forget Ripple, polyester leisure suits, Harvey Wallbangers, Tyrolia, and really good popular music (but not disco). And bras. Women stopped wearing them for a few happy, jiggly years. A note about Star Wars: commencing in the late 1960s, movies stopped having happy endings. A movie going experience was a somber and depressing experience. Then came Star Wars. The good guys won, evil was defeated. Movies once again had the ability to uplift.

My wife made me a Harvey Wallbanger birthday cake a couple years ago! I nice little slice of nostalgia there!😅

My mother, still had our rotary phone from the 60s, all the way up until the 80s. It took the phone company call my mother and request that she would send the phone back and they even promised and gave her a credit on the phone bill.
There was one drive-in theater in my city, will you put Park on the overpass above and you could see the movie.
Occasionally, your radio could pick up the signal and in the summertime you roll your windows down, you could hear the movie from someone else's cars below.

The middle & late sixties too. Girls copied Farrah Fawcett's hair style. By the seventies, touch tone phones had come in already. My family went to the Douglas Drive-In in Kalamazoo, Michigan near there was factory that processed peppermint, so the aroma of peppermint always reminds me of going to the drive-in

There was another kind of a shoe that was popular in the 70's. It was called the Earth Shoe. What was different about it was that the sole was thicker in the front and it was supposed to simulate the way your foot steps were walking in the sand. I had them and they were comfortable.

While I'm sure School House Rock is fine; it should be remembered the 1970s are still the worst time for American television cartoons. Yes, even worse than the 2020s with what's going on with Warner Bros Discovery.

Disco sucked, and it wasn't as liked as many nowadays try to say it was. That's the reason it didn't last.
