This is such a cool experience, I've owned two Masamoto KS gyutos as well as a white #1 yanagiba and white #1 deba, just recently sold the deba to replace it with an Aogami #2 Mazaki. Buying online is so impersonal and getting to handle the blade before buying and really examine the grind, while talking to a salesperson who absolutely loves what he sells, has to be so awesome. I know I'm gonna go bankrupt when I eventually visit, especially if I make the trip to Konosuke.
Thank you so much for watching, and for your kind comment! Before this knife, I had an aogami yanagiba which I used for about 18 years. Now I live in Kansai so I am going to explore some of the cutlers here, there maybe an interesting video in the making...

Well done. What an experience captured. The blade is amazing and you must be happy with your purchase. Hope all is well!
Hi Jonas, thank you very much for watching and commenting! I hope you guys are all staying safe.
Work of art!
Thank you, Friend!
$235 is a good price. Thought it would be $350. I've paid more for some pocket knives.
With the current exchange rate, it would be about 200USD to buy now, I think!
I'd have bought them both if I were you.
This time, my budget did not quite extend to two, but I fully understand the feeling!
Pisonya keren bang…
Terima kasih, Friend!
$100,000 in knives there.
I resisted the urge, successfully, to look at some honyaki knives whilst I was there...
