Absolute LEGEND. I not only respect Mike on an athlete level but also as a person for paying dues with society and making a comeback not only to the NFL but also in life.
Shout out to vick for being one who really recognizes elways grestness. Elway was my fave player growing up. Most underrated qb ever. He gets some credit, but nowhere near enough.
Julian as a giant fan I hate u but I do love you too it’s like my love hate with Brady and Gronk Lol fandom aside you’re all awesome wish u all the best and love these videos so charming and real so awesome we get a glimpse into your personalities thank u man !!
That’s true! Lamar Jackson is a beast and his runs were designed runs. Micheal Vick had to improvise. I still remember that walk off OT touchdown against the Vikings! That was crazy
Vick made me a fan of football at the age of ten. for that I’m eternally grateful. However I’m still a falcons fan at 33, so it’s bittersweet. Having said that Vick is the fucking man…. Also BEST COMEBACK IN NFL HISTORY. Bar. None. Name another player under that scrutiny and that adversity that came back and did what he did with the eagles and I’ll prove you fucking wrong.
Mike deserves a second chance! I’ve made so many mistakes in life and I know I would want a second chance too if I was him, he paid his dues, showed his regret and changed as a man! I believe he’s a good man
There’s a difference between being flat out fast and football fast. And as far as being football fast is concerned, I think the only one that were faster then Vick was Barry Sanders.
I remember watching Vick play against the Eagles as a Falcon in the stands. He was cartoon fast. And the ball he threw didn’t make sense it looked so easy. If Vick isn’t fast. Fast doesn’t exist.
I was curious so tried to google who the 28 year old qb was when he was a freshman.. what I found was kind of weird. The 2005 roster they have posted doesn’t even include him, and the 2006 roster they have posted has him listed as a sophomore and his backup was a junior. Definitely not saying he’s a liar. But I tried to look it up as he said too and found a difficult time. Any one else have luck? My only guess would be Michael Machen but he was the junior I was referring too
So the topic that leads into this discussion is at 13:45. I wasn't going to look it up, but your comment got me curious & I went down the rabbit-hole. So Jules started at JuCo: College of San Mateo 2005-2006 so he shouldn't be on the roster. He was at Kent State 2006-2008. I think Jules exaggerated about this particular guy being "28yo" . . . more like 24yo, but still he was ~5-years older than Julian & much bigger! I saw various heights/weights, but most put him at 6'6" & 230-lbs. Michael Steven Machen (DOB 10/5/81) of Mobile, AL, graduated McGill-Toolen High School & was drafted by the MLB. The Atlanta Braves took him in the 14th round (pick #430) of the 2000 Amateur Draft in June. He was in the minor league system & self-professed 'relief pitcher.' 2000-2001 Atlanta Braves & 2002 Baltimore Orioles. He then decided to return to football in 2003. He was convinced to come to Alabama as a walk-on by Coach Dennis Franchione, who he claimed would treat him like a scholarship athlete (the Braves covered all his college tuition as this was in his contract). However, the coach left for Texas A&M! The new coach Mike Shula wanted his own guy, Brodie Croyle, at QB so he was relegated to scout team offense & never played a snap in a game. Following that he went the JuCo route. Spent 2004 at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas & had a great season 10-2. He nearly transferred to Nebraska, but went to Kent State in 2005 & had an abysmal record of 1-10 (only beat SouthEast Missouri State). Likely why they sent scouts out to California to look at Jules. This guy broke his collarbone 10-days before the start of the 2006 season, when Julian came in as a sophomore & took the QB1 position. Machen graduated from Kent State in December 2006 w/ a degree in Finance. He then transferred to Baylor as a graduate student (masters program) in 2007 & sat a season (pre-transfer portal days - spring '06). Fall '07 he competed w/ Blake Syzmanski for the starting position. In one article it said that Blake called him 'Uncle Mike' b/c of his "life experience & elder status." Doesn't seem he played many games & never made it into the NFL. Now give me a cookie! 🍪🤣
Edelman in the HOF! This podcast is about 3 or 4 months away from blowing up HUGE. I think people sleep on it because of the name. They don't realize what it is or that it's Jules.
What kinda crack is Jules on? Is he stroking Vicks ego? Vick didnt stay in the pocket ane make reads! Vick followed one reciever and took off running if he couldnt get separation. Its all on tape! Mahomes does all the things that Jules claims Vick did! Maybe he is confusing him for Patty..?
I love how the dog murderer gets to stoll make money and millions and everyone forgets. if it was a normal person we would be in jail for life. sorry I can't watch this anymore. Julian stop trying to be cool. Bad look on Vick. Seems like if you do bad things in life you get richer. I guess I'm just gonna be a piece of shit to ppl
Edelman has CTE. Sam... Please seperate yourself from him. Wtf is happening ? Anyone that says " my dude " can't be trusted. I don't understand why you're doin this Sam. Stop. Your shirting on your craft.
I’m grateful for Mike! I was a high school quarterback when he was in college. He helped me realize I wasn’t going to the next level 🙏🙏
It’s always a tough moment for us HS athletes but all we can do is be grateful for our teammates and memories 🖤
Absolute LEGEND. I not only respect Mike on an athlete level but also as a person for paying dues with society and making a comeback not only to the NFL but also in life.
Paying dues 😂😂😂
He killed dogs for fun!
Shout out to vick for being one who really recognizes elways grestness. Elway was my fave player growing up. Most underrated qb ever. He gets some credit, but nowhere near enough.
I also respect Mike Vick for holding a dog fighting arena at his house. Remarkable role model.
@@td4244wow I know right??? If he wouldn’t have done that the dogs would’ve still been alive to this day!!!!,,,, right??? 🤡.

Classic VT shirt he wearing. I still have mine from 2004 with holes in it.
Love to see him wearing a VT hat. Go Hokies! ❤
We need more episodes wya??
Finally! Been waiting on this one!
Edelman’s sideburns aren’t the only part he trimmed to a V-shape.
This fuckin show is awesome 👌...can't believe I just found it
Michael Vick calls his shot … a reporter told him no road team ever won a playoff game in Lambeau … Vick says today we make history and Wins
Mike Vick, the new age Bo Jackson in football video games
I still think he had the best arm I've ever seen not the most accurate but throw it a mile.
Like Joe Milton III . . .
Loved this episode! Vick was such a bad ass when he was at VT

Edelman a hall of famer...like the Big Poppi of Football
Sam really carries this podcast. Edelman is charismatic and knows football but Sam seems a lot more present and intelligent

All those catches across the middle have taken a toll on Jules noggin… but hey the guys a legend. Love this podcast
Why don’t you talk about all the animals you killed and tortured….
I always laugh when people say Angelina Jolie is hot 😂 never was, never will be
I still LOVE Andy Reid for giving you a role.
Love you, Sam, but I'm skipping this one to go play with my pup.
Vick is high as shit in this interview

Does Sam have a secret Wynn bet on how many epp he can talk about the Giants beating the Pats?
Didn't even really talk about the game. Lol but Mike Vic was fun to watch. Overcame a lot.
All these bad comments about Vick. He did his time. Hes a better person now.
The comedian cohost is a waste
Wow Michael Vick? So is OJ Simpson next? Come on guys love the show but not watching this episode.
good for you.
Sam is the type of new Yorker the Floridians don’t want moving there
🐶
Michael Vick was one of the best QBs. Had he not had his personal issues i think he’d be HOF
def. one of the most fun players to watch ever.
