Yeah, they trained for months to prepare for concerts as they have to dance and sing live. So usually by the end of the concert, you could see how totally exhausted they are.

"Mama" is EXO's debut song, which was originally released in 2012, and it's the first song you hear them perform in this set during their almost 3 hour concert. Mama is a Korean term they use to address a leader or king or queen. It's a term of reverence and respect. It's similar to saying "Your majesty." If you watch very many historical Korean dramas you will hear the characters call the royal family, and especially the head of the royal family or leader, "Mama." So, in this song, they are speaking to the leader or deity who sent them to Earth, essentially asking, "Now that I'm here, Your Majesty what should I do? How do I fulfill what you have sent me to do?" etc.
Also, the audience wasn't just screaming. What you heard is called fanchants, which are orchestrated things that fans say during specific moments in live performances. For example, during "Monster" what they were saying was "E X O Mon-st-er". It's the same thing fans will recite during that part of the song every time this song is performed.
Sometimes fanchants are designed by fandoms and they are distributed through the network of fandoms so that everyone learns them and knows what to do, and other times they are designed by the Kpop group's company and given to the fandoms to distribute and make sure everyone knows the chant. Almost every song that is a maintrack song that the group promotes with will have a specific fanchant that goes with it. So, not only will the audience be reciting specific lyrics at key movements during the performance, but sometimes during the dance break the fans will shout each of the members names, etc. Even the moments when the fans scream or cheer are often done at specific times and for an exact length of time as part of the fanchant.
Fun fact: The majority of the choreography for "Monster", which was released in 2016, has to do with the members using their powers, so, if you know what you are looking for, you will see that each move is done for a very specific reason. (To see the choreography even better, check out EXO's "Monster" dance practice video and also watch the MV.) The X they make to represent EXO is only the beginning of the story in their choreography.
For example, D.O. has the power of super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. When you see Suho in the middle of the group and they have a hold of his arms, he rotates his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. You see Kai slide backward and forward into the center of the group while waving his arms to represent him teleporting. And when Chanyeol jumps over Lay, Sehun and Xiumin, this could be him using his phoenix fire wings to fly, or it could be showing him leaping over flames because his power is the ability to control fire. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And when they sit on the ground with their one knee in the air and rotate their bodies, it's supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun. (Even some of EXO's comebacks were released on days when we had a real eclipse or other planetary phenomenon, etc.)
The concert version of "Wolf" is the remix version, so only the beginning and end of this performance is what you will see and hear in their "Wolf" MV -- the middle part, where it slows down, is new, but the hype part at the beginning and end is exactly how the original song sounds. Often, the performance and choreography for their songs in concert is different than the original because they put a different twist on it every time they perform it.
The moving siluet you saw them create in their "Wolf" performance is supposed to represent the Tree of Life. Which is a visual connection between the storyline in "Mama" and the story in "Wolf". In the MV for "Wolf," which was released in 2013, you will see they create two separate trees (or one tree that is split in two) because the MV is when they still have 12 members. EXO-K (Korean) was one half of the tree and EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) was the other half. However, as you saw in the concert performance, they don't split up into the two separate trees any more because now there are only 9 members. After the 3 Chinese members left, they now do everything together, so there is only one tree. This concert was in 2016 and Kris, Luhan and Tao left in 2014/2015.
In "Wolf" the members are supposed to be a wolf pack. So the choreography and the song is about them acting like wolves.
The choreography was created to use movements that made them seem like wolves, and the moves, such as them showing their claws and bristling their backs and shaking are all things that wolves do as they compete for power and attention, etc. The wolf comes out of the forest (as he scratches the ground behind the Tree of Life) and he is stalking his prey. Their prey is the girl that, in the song, they are talking about being so obsessed with and in love with that they can't help but act like a wolf and capture her so that no one else can have her, etc.
In EXO's songs and MVs it is often thought that the girl that EXO sings about is a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life. So, that is why EXO becomes so enamored by her and so possessive and protective of her, etc. Protecting the heart of the Tree of Life -- or "the girl" -- is what EXO has been sent to Earth to do.
How I interpret the part where Kai Xs out the tree, is that EXO are searching for the Tree of Life and Kai has eliminated that tree from their search. It's not the tree they want, so they get rid of it. In the intro to their debut "Mama" MVs, which sets up EXO's whole storyline and explains the group's concept, the narrator talks about how the Tree of Life has been split in two and each half has been hidden away. It's EXO's job to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them to restore peace in the world. So in their live performance, that is what they are doing. They are searching for the real Tree of Life.
The shadows that they dance with also could have something to do with their X-EXO clones, which was later introduced in their "Obsession" MV in 2019. If there shadows are X-EXO, this could explain why we see them fighting with, and eventually eliminating, their other selves. (And now it could also be connected to the silhouettes we see behind the lighted white wall in EXO's "Tempo" MV and SHINee's new "Hard" MV storyline.) Therefore, in this performance this could be a foreshadowing of events in their storyline that only begins to make sense as the story evolves and SM reveals more details in the future, etc. Which is why we say, if you want to really follow EXO's storyline you have to pay attention to everything EXO does and you have to try and remember everything you have ever seen and heard from them, because the story may not make sense at the moment, but it could be important in the future to help explain something else that is happening in EXO's storyline or even part of the larger SM Culture Universe storyline that involves all of SM Entertainment's groups and artists.
And, at the end, I don't necessarily think Kai is breathing heavy because he is tired. I actually think he is still in character. He has that brooding expression on his face and he is breathing heavy because he is acting like a wolf. Although I am sure the members are tired after that performances, you would be surprised how well they are able to recover. In reality, if you saw them interacting with the audience right after that performance you would probably be surprised at how they don't look or sound out of breath or tired. They have trained their whole career by doing cardio exercises while singing at the same time, in order to build endurance and stamina, so they are able to sing live while dancing this intently and not use up their energy.
And if you check out some of their dance practices, you will often see them wearing a lot of layers because it helps build endurance and it conditions their bodies to be able to dance on stage with their stage outfits and not be affected. Why it looks so effortless on stage and like they hardly even exert themselves sometimes, is because their body has become used to being dressed in layers while working hard and wearing heavy boots, etc. It's kind of like if you spend a lot of time in a sauna, after a while your body gets used to the heat and you can endure more heat for longer.
It's no surprise that you are impressed by everyone's vocals and dancing because, as SM artists, that is just something the company is known for. As you may know, SM is considered the vocal powerhouse of the industry. You literally can't be an SM artist without having amazing vocals and dance skills, even SM's rappers get intense vocal training, so all of SM's artists are some of the best singers in the industry. And EXO are the perfect example of that.
Just imagine, that was only one set from a concert where they performed more than 30 songs. So, if you think that performance was amazing, keep in mind, after this they only took about a 5 minute break to get ready for the next set of songs and change outfits, etc.
What Baekhyun screams in the middle of "Wolf " is "Tokyo Dome," which is where this EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM(dot) in Japan world tour concert is being held.

For me, EXO still the best kpop group in SK, no one can beat all their talents especially when they sang and dance live. I never like kpop until I knew EXO. Finally, I heard kpop only for EXO.
