      tbh tho this isn't for ya "i need a refine gold button with the wool of a golden sheep in navy blue" type people. This is for really lower end income and just people who need a suit to "work" in terms of image rather than quality. Doesn't make better suits worse(even if they cost a fortune) its just different markets

      Well aren't you hot shit. Lol. These suits are clearly meant for perhaps someone's first suit, or maybe lower income men who must have one for a job interview and are trying to get their lives on track, etc. It's not for everyone, but there is absolutely a market for this.

    So, here's my experience.
    I ordered 3 suits on the $39 each deal. I read their very specific comments about sizing, alterations, shipping, returns. There are no exchanges. I ordered my usual size, and I typically need about a 1/2 inch off the sleeves, and maybe some some alteration through the body if I want a fitted look. I have been buying suits regularly for 40+ years. I have reasonable expectations with a $39 suit. The shipping cost was a little steep, but i figured the suits were a bargain.
    I received the suits in a timely manner. Plain box, suits on hangers, protected by plastic. Better than I thought it would be. The suits were accurate for color, and had surprisingly good construction. They were made as well as any store bought suit, and better than some. So far I was very happy with the purchase.
    I tried on the suit, and it did not fit. It was about a size smaller than off the rack suits run. There was adequate material for alterations, but not that much. The length of the body was shorter than I am used to getting in a suit. All of this is to be expected when buying a suit. Size can vary greatly even within a brand. That's the reason to try it on first.The company states that they use standard American sizes for their suits, and I believe they do follow a standard sizing chart. The problem is that so many other manufactures "tweek" sizing so at best you generally have a 1-2 size range depending on the suit. I would have been a very satisfied customer if the suits had fit, or had been close to what I expected. If I had ordered a size larger it probably would have been fine.
    Here's the problem. I paid about $31 for shipping at purchase, then $45 dollars for UPS ground to return. They do not do exchanges only refunds, and you pay shipping. If I order what I think might be my correct size, another $31 in shipping, and if wrong another $45 to return again. At this point it's better to take the $76 loss (on $120 suit purchase) than to risk adding another $76 (now $152 on $120 in suits). If it had worked out for me, I would be ordering suits all the time because I believe them to be well made, and a fantastic price. I just not willing to risk another $65 and end up with nothing. Sorry!!!

    I bought a burgundy suit from Alain Dupetit to wear casually for the fall and winter. I wanted a bold color for a change of pace. I like my suit, but it's definitely not one you can wear all the time, especially for the color I chose. I took it to a tailor and it fits really well, the tailor didn't have to do anything different from any other suit I've had tailored. I would say this suit is for people who have a nice base collection and want to try a new color/have a suit you won't be afraid of ruining, and college aged kids where you know you will have some occasions where you wear a suit and get three sheets to the wind.

    I bought this brand 2 years ago as I was sick and tired of spending $2000 per year on suits for my work. I have to say, no one knows I am wearing $39 suit. It fits me very well and comfortably like any of my Hugo Boss slim fits. I have received more compliments on these suits. People still think I am wearing Hugo Boss but that's my little secret. These suits lasted me a long time. 2 years lifespan with weekly dry cleaning. Lastly, I love these suits because it is so economical I don't have to worry about ruining them. I highly recommend for work but make sure you tailor it to fit your body. Lastly, I am not a sweaty person. If you are, you may just want to fork out $39 and try one and experience it yourself.

    I have purchased 3 of these suits. As a person that doesn't wear suits often I feel like they are a pretty decent purchase. The fit is much better than anything else that I have purchased off of the rack in a department store. I like to wear patterned shirts with them as it tends to draw the eye away from examining the suit too closely. But, overall they are a great deal if you don't wear suits regularly.

    I totally disagree with this review. I used to wear all the major name brands and after having surgery and gaining 40 pounds during my recovery I could no longer wear my high dollar gear. I found this website and purchased one for $39 to see what its about. Wearing these suits have been a breeze. Being in healthcare sales and interacting with everyone from physicians to CEOs and they all compliment the suits. They dang near fall out their seats when I tell them how much they cost. I even washed it and got good results. My day consists of driving, walking and standing all day and these suits take activity much better than the Hickey Freeman, Klein, Brioni and others that I used to wear.

    • @luisworships
      @luisworships 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@shanewright2772 i asked a simple question buddy. The right thing to do would be get these companies to start paying their employees fairly and provide proper working environments. Just because someone has a job doesnt mean its right when they are being enslaved and abused by the employer. They are starving the same with what these companies pay them

    • @shanewright2772
      @shanewright2772 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      And I gave a simple answer. It's all well and good to say we should "make" companies start paying their employees "fairly", but how do you do that when, if you have to pay some one in Bangladesh $1.50 an hour, there are guys in Nigeria who will do it for 80c an hour? The marketplace determines what a fair rate of pay for these workers is and if these workers choose to interfere with the company's prime responsibility, which is to maximise the profit it returns to its investors, by demanding more money, then the company has a sworn duty to find a better contract. So poor old Tahmid and his family are thrown out of the mean streets of Dacca, but things are looking up for Adewale, who now has a job and may be able to move from his lean t on a smouldering garbage mound in downtown Lagos. What you're proposing sounds dangerously like socialism. And everybody knows that's a crock :-)

      Rich DeFinis I wear one of these on gigs. The jacket is hot on stage, and it doesn’t move well with you because of its fused construction, but the slacks are fine. It’s a functional beater suit that you won’t feel bad about getting funky in, even after load-out. But if you want to play something like guitar with the jacket on, it might feel awkward.

    I just purchased the two button black suittech suit from Alain Dupetit. I have other suits to include a black pinstripe Ralph Lauren suit, Stacy Adams and Calvin Klein suits. I wanted a solid black suit for my “Men In Black” look. Mission Accomplished. $39 is definitely a cheap suit, but the reality is guys wear suits like casual clothes today. Will definitely wear with my black and white nikes and wear with my black Steve Madden or my cognac Stacy Adams. When it’s time to retire the suit, money well spent.

    Thank you for your review! I'm more of a finer suit guy myself, but may grab one of these in a more unique color just to try something different. I'm curious if you've heard of Gulati Bespoke Tailors in Bangkok. I got 2 suits from them back in 1998 and they still fit like a glove and look brand new. I am amazed how well they have held up after 22 years (and it helps that my height and weight are both unchanged). I'm looking to get a couple new, nicer suits and may get another from them as they still have my measurements on file. Oliver Wicks you mentioned is a company I'll take a look at as well.

      Derek Nolt what's the material like? I once bought a cheap suit whose material is too thick and kinda makes it obvious that it is a cheap suit. In your opinion, is it ok to buy this for office use?

    • @DerekNolt
      @DerekNolt 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its not super thick but is a little stiff and not the most comfortable thing. I would say its not the best if it is a upscale office. I feel like it would probably be ok if you want to look presentable but not to impress. It looks and feels just like the cheap Christmas/snowflake suit I got for a party if that helps at all.

    I have black security guard pants from Quartermaster (made of polyester) that has held up very well for the past year and a half. Wear them both for my role as an associate pastor (which as a Lutheran minister, I wear a clerical shirt) as well as a personal care aide. May have to look into this type of suit for the winter months when it gets cold in Pennsylvania.
    And thankfully, they have big & tall sizes (pant size 56R; will go up a pant size for comfort purposes).

    As someone else said they experienced this already. I bought one and I bought it per my normal size and even took measurements just be sure. Mine came in fitting almost two sizes smaller than advertised. I would not recommend buying one of these and the fabric is just meh as well. I don’t know what to do with it now because their return policy sucks and I’ll lose like half my money.

    I just got a brown AD suit. It was $29. $46 with shipping. It's Suitech fabric. Supposedly it was on sale because it's going to be discontinued. I don't know what to think of it though, it's definitely my lowest quality suit. it was cheap so I wasn't expecting super awesome quality, so 🤔 I don't know if it's worth it but I guess I'll know once I actually wear it and see how I feel. One thing I know this is a good suit to practice my tailoring skills.

    So compared to renting for a wedding, how would you rate this? To me, it seems this would be much more affordable, better fit for my groomsman, and much less headache when it comes to returning them to the rental company. Also it's a January wedding, so trapping heat is a good thing.
