Nah. Imo DC got the right fucking tune mixing suicide squad with isekai. Isekai has stopped equating good world building for a while now. It's gotten to the point that isekai worlds are defined by what's different about the main character rather than the world itself. Which is why you have titles that could be conversational sentences. DC took that bland formula, bland world and made sure we focused on the characters of the squad, especially the comedy and interactions between them. Imo this show is less an isekai than it is a suicide squad anime and there's a difference. Animation could have definitely been worse trust me. Not to mention they had a fucking banger of an opening and ending! C'mon breadhead. Credit where credit is due.
