Just watching your vid 6 years later. Great!. Boy UBC was a lot greener then, so many new buildings now and way less trees. Love the tunes you chose and an interesting historical view of the 99 route, still busy now today. Never drove this route and yes, there is a Company policy for passengers to stay behind Red Line and a Motor vehicle law for driver to have a clear view through the front door though some drivers pack everyone in. It's their license on the line though.

standing in the stairwell in the US is unlawful. even so on the LF models where there is no "stairwell," but where the doors operate. interesting to see this is allowed in Canada.

@brownbrownson Even the operator wasn't too keen on having the passengers stand there, unfortunately there wasn't any room for them anywhere else. I don't know about the legalities, though notably there are a significant number of stanchions available in the area, though they are most likely to enable embarking and disembarking for those with disabilities.

The R4 41st Avenue Rapidbus reduced 80% of passengers on the 99 B-line

@jemdude22 According to a document on the City of Vancouver website regarding Broadway: "The Broadway corridor is primarily served by the 99 B-Line; the busiest bus route in North America with over 50,000 passengers per day."

i thought the busiest route was a trolleybus route in downtown Vancouver.

    1. This is a three-door boarding route. It is more common for passengers to board at the back of the bus on the 99 B-Line. 2. This route is simply so busy, there is no where else for passengers to stand. Period. 3. Do you seriously need to point out every single little thing that everyone does in every single one of my videos? Blocked. Have a nice day.

the *useless* B line...I was a transitioner at its very advent from its peak-hours shuttle bus of a predecessor...and here about 20 years afterwards we BARELY overtake a SINGLE trolley along its entirety..!

My apologies. I was having a rough week. I'd unblock but I can't seem to find it.

such an UGLY burg, oof! how come none of those trees along that lofty, commercial drag of W10th seems to have grown these past 30 years, plus the same soon thereafter along W Bdwy (W Ninth)..? :brrRr:
