    It’s ok to disagree y’all.
Spend quality time with the Lord. Read and study your Bible. God teaches us. He still speaks to us in many ways! Ask Him questions and expect to get an answer. He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
We cannot get everything right because we are human.
But if you know that the Lord revealed something to you in His word, stick with that and keep it moving.
    Be encouraged fam. ❤

"But if you know that the Lord revealed something to you in His word, stick with that and keep it moving."
Absolutely not. You are encouraging people to make their own religion. You need better discernment than this. Anything you "Know the Lord revealed to you" is absolutely testable. You will be able to help others see what was revealed to you. If you cannot do this, then nothing was revealed to you except your own heart.

One of the differences between the Prophets of the Bible and today's "Prophets" is they were never wrong. That is how the people knew they were true Prophets sent from God. We have too many in the Church edifying themselves via titles. And not putting the focus strictly and specifically on Christ. The foundation has already been built. Christ is the cornerstone.

I agree! BUT the job of prophets was not ONLY To lay the foundation. You are adding that interpretation to the text. Once the foundation is laid by apostles and prophets there is still more building to be done.
I agree there are false prophets today, but they were present backt then too! So just because the false is present doesn't mean the true is not.
You can't show me 1 verse that says we no longer need apostles and prophets or spiritual gifts for that matter. And if you says "only apostles and prophets write scripture" then I also agree...but not ALL apostles and prophets wtite scripture which is revealed in the scripture itself. Acts 11 talks of many Prophets and agabus, yet we don't have any of their writings. 1 cor 14 talks of many prophets as well.

That's not true. Your relationship is your relationship. No doubt.. But you talking about a "HE" gave it to you therefore it dont need approval from man.. So the "HE" that gave it to you was not a man? It wasn't a man who wrote and introduced you to the bible. No god told you that it was a "HE". Man told you that god is a he. Your relationship with your god is based off of information that man put in a book. Man told you that his written words were inspired by a god and you chose to believe man when he made that claim and because of that you actually think that the creator of the sun is a "HE"
He who gave it to you dont need approval of man.. smh you trippin. Doesn't "HE" represent a man or a boy. The entity that created and introduced you to the sun doesn't need approval from man because no "HE" created or was needed to introduce the sun to you. Universal things do not require man like man made things.

Really great teaching, thank you! I was "lead prophet" in a home based ministry that unfortunately had NAR roots. I came off the "street," in that I wasn't raised up in a Church, although I was raised Catholic, came to salvation by God's grace and called out of a new age, false prophet profession. The Holy Spirit gave me discernment when I was saved that the Bible is the ONLY true and living Word of God after 17 years of practicing Tibetan Buddism and other eastern mystical practices and new age doctrines. He went on to show me the false doctrine in the charismatic/spirit led, evangelical church and the leaven in the NAR movement early on in my walk as a believer. Part of why I could see it so clearly was because I used to do similar things in the new age practices. Leaven is leaven.
I appreciate that being called "lead prophet" is a 5 fold distinction and not scriptural. It's not something I sought out, the "Apostle" over that ministry appointed me to that position. Being in the Word and revelation from the Holy Spirit, I saw the false doctrine (NAR influences) being followed there, I pointed these out to our pastor and others in the congregation, heard from the Lord that we were to study the Bible only, give up doctrinally errant praise music, etc, and I was persecuted a lot.
This eventually caused a church split then a few years later I heard in prayer to give the "Apostle" and his wife a correction word from the Lord (revelation word, thank you so much for that distinction), and was abused, ostracized and heard from the Lord to finally leave. It was a hard season. Well, my whole time there (9 years) was a hard season.
This was 2 years ago. I've grown even closer to the Lord not being part of a formal ministry in these past 2 years and even more Biblically grounded. Praise God. False doctrine and false prophets in the "church," and movies, TV series, music, books, etc is rampant today, end times falling away. SO refreshing and life giving to hear the Word rightly divided. Thank you and God bless!

Biggest problem you've got is that I see the title of your video, pigeon hole you as a Calvinist, and I already know what the answer to your question is before watching it. You and folks like you don't seem to understand you're not adding anything of substantial value to the syllabus of theological teaching, nor are you mining out the old truths that have been largely discarded from modern Christianity. At best, you're instead just parroting and regurgitating denominational biases that themselves have become the traditions that make void the word of God... and at worst, you're just doing it because you want social affirmation, whether in the form of views and subs, or so you can feel approved by your denomination. None of this is about pleasing the Lord. If one traces the Greek and Hebrew words for prophet, the answer is rather plain and uncontroversial... but I'm quite certain wouldn't land at the same Calvinistic position you likely hold. It's the approval and man and denomination you seek with this same-old, same-old. Add demonstrable value. Contribute something of actual substance. Teach what the word actually says, not what your denominational overlords allow you to teach.

The very fact that me - or anyone, for that matter - can pigeon hole you as "one who answers before hearing" just by viewing your video title actually proves my point and should be of concern to you. It's regurgitation of same old, same old. What's added? What's gained?
Sure, I'll grant that you veered off their course slightly be acknowledging that, yes, generically speaking, prophesying occurs. When understood plainly, of course it does, it's the bubbling over, the preaching of the word of God. It's uncontroversial when understood plainly. The foundation has been laid, but the day of the LORD hasn't happened yet, which means prophecy must still happen according to Scripture, so this prophecy:
*_"And it SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:"_*
      Acts 2:17
In the last days. When are the last days? SONS and DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY. Only Prophets Prophesy, correct? So, this is happening in the last days (which is now) should tell you what?
That there are STILL Prophets today.
Furthermore, a Prophet is a part of an office of God for the edifying of saints. If the day of the Lord has yet to come, then work is still being done, which means the office of God is still very much prevalent in the world today, and the office of God includes what?

The last days passed, they are still here and are still to come until Christ comes back. In acts they already received the gift spoken of if you had just continued reading, it was the Pentecost and flame came down from heaven granting people the the gift of tongues and prophecy. So no you don't get a point there... Remember the bible also says that a day to the Lord can be like a thousand years to us? So it makes sense that the gifts mentioned already passed if that's what you're alluding to.
The office of a prophet WAS to edify saints, but they are no longer needed now as they were before (again if you have just watched the video).
In Ephesians 2:20 Paul says that the Apostles and Prophets were given as foundation to the church, you can't have more than one set of foundation, so that refutes 4:11-13 as he was talking about the time.
It's impossible to be an apostle now, simply because it would call you to have seen Jesus and have him reveal things to you personally, audibly, and physically. And secondly, there's no need for a prophet amongst the CHURCH as we have God's word written, so everything he wants to reveal to us has already been revealed. Back then they needed it because the scripture wasn't easy to come by and they had not know much about Christ without the apostles and prophecy, but now we do.

Israel, for many of years had the Old Covenant, which was everything they needed at that time, yet God still used Prophets--miraculously, to bring Israel back (repent) to that covenant. If God used Prophets to bring them back to the covenant then, when Israel had everything they needed to live by (the Old Covenant), why wouldn't God use prophets now, despite having everything we need (New Covenant) as Israel had the Old Covenant? Priests, and elders could have proclaimed the Law to Israel in order to get them to repent, but He choses to use Prophets, and to use them miraculously.

Apostles have the desire to train and raise up church leaders who will come into full maturity in the church, to release them, and then move on to plant another church.
A great example of this is In Acts 11 with Barnabas and Saul who spent 2 years in Antioch planting a church.
So you don’t think that an Apostle is needed today?
Prophets reveal God's heart to His people, giving guidance to individuals and the body, giving revelation, as well as interpretation, application and timing. We see several examples in the book of Acts. In Acts 21, Agabus is a good example of where prophecy can be rightly interpreted, yet applied wrongly, as Paul was urged not to go to Jerusalem, escaping the predictive prophecy of his fate. In this case, we see prophecy as fore-telling, yet it is also forth-telling which is often neglected by those who run after prophetic words.
So you don’t think a prophet can be useful to the body today? and y’all don’t think God won’t use someone to warn the Body as a prophet . We have His written word readily available in America and most don’t read it, don’t obey it, or don’t know how to rightfully divide it. This is not sound doctrine nor “Smart.”

And who told you that the bible was the word of a god. Did the god tell you that or did the men who wrote the bible just claim that their written words are the words of a god.
You ask what is the need of a prophet today. I say anytime you are dealing with a mute god, you will need man to speak for that god. You say all we have to do is read the word. Then why do you listen to the Brotha. Why do you need so many middleman to connect you to your creator. If all we need is the word then why so many preachers prophets priests saints apostles and other middlemen speaking on behalf of the god.
If we were to remove man from the equation we would never know bible god or any other god that man has introduced to us. No god ever introduces itself to us. It is always man that makes the introduction and does the speaking for the god.

Apostle prophet evangelist pastor and teacher to edify the church meaning these offices are to prepare the people for the work of service that the body of CHRIST may be built up until we all reach UNITY in the FAITH and in the knowledge of the SON of GOD and become mature attaining to the WHOLE measure of the fullness of CHRIST. They also reveal deeper things about the scriptures that can't otherwise be understood just from superficially reading them. If prophets only did what most ppl think, then God wouldn't have sent Christ to reveal that His laws were spiritual. Most ppl under the Sinai Covenant didn't previously understand that.

For example , my now deceased aunt never pursued any education or profession because a prophetess declared she was on full time calling , which meant she lived in poverty and couldn't learn any marketable skills. She could only serve unpaid in the church. My aunt made the sacrifice because she was told that's what God wanted, even though she didn't want that. Just imagine my shock hearing another side now!

A professing prophet who preaches or practices falsehoods is a false prophet. As Deut. 13, they can always be recognized by what they preach. The catch though, is that a person is not supposed to judge according to their personal beliefs. The best example of how someone can lead themselves into this kind of trap is the Orthodox Jews deeming Christ to be a false prophet because He opposed their false traditions.

To Everyone on Here this is a false teacher- Please study the scripture in its entirety Ephesians 4: 11 says He gave, 4:12 says what he gave them for, 4:13 tells you how long he gave them for and that is until the return of the Lord. Does not mater what translation you read- 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [a]edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. The bible reference the building of the church as brick laying Jesus being the chief or 1st corner stone that cannot be laid again- not the prophets. He is referencing 2 different scriptures-Ephe 2:19-22 and 1 Corinthians 13:10-11. Basically meaning the prophets and apostles can be built next to or on top of jesus but all have to connect. These videos do not edify but further add contention . Get in your prayer closet and follow " if any man lack wisdom, let him ask of GOD, who gives to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given unto him" Corey is not God, im not God and neither is anybody commenting. Thats the problem these days nobody wants to simply get before Jesus at his feet and have patience for him to teach them as he said. He would lead us into all truth and we need not a man to teach us. But because you all fail to do that he will give you over to your blindness and give to you false teachers such as corey to itch your ears teaching you doctrines of devil. People don't want to get in Gods presence they don't want to work for the knowledge or wisdom of God. So they keep asking all these people who by the way don't even go to God themselves, but trust scholars, over praying to Jesus to reveal to them what Jesus means in any of his word. It literally makes no sense. I pray others will read our discourse and choose the secret place to gain knowledge of God by the Lord Jesus himself. This is what he means when he says , we need not a man to teach us. Once we are introduced to the Lord and repents and seek him , we wont be needing to keep going to man for answers because that secret place is where the Lord will be dropping so much knowledge and wisdom to us.🙏

    Hey Corey, couple comments
we only see one example of a named evangelist in the early church - Philip
only one instance of shepherds/overseers - Acts 20:28
but there are many more examples of apostles and prophets being noted in the new testament so the emphasis on evangelists and shepherds doesn't provide a good argument. Maybe I''m missing some examples.
Also, we see qualifications for shepherds but there are no qualifications for evangelists, that scripture you referenced are more so how an evangelist should operate not necessarily qualifications for stepping into that ministry.
You say there are not prophets today but then you speak of false prophets and if they don't come to pass they are false, but I believe this is the wrong method of assessment. Rather, I think we can apply that we will know false prophets by their fruit and if they are pointing people to righteousness - which the Spirit will testify to (Deuteronomy 13 emphasizes if the prophet entices them away from the Lord, Deuteronomy 18 just says they spoke presumptuously, although I believe it is still sin to speak a prophecy in the name of the Lord if He gave you no prophecy), not by if what they say comes to pass or not because God did not make that standard and Balaam's prophecies actually were by the Spirit of God and came to pass but he was not of God and this was evidenced by his actions leading up to his oracles delivered and in result at the end in teaching Balak to lead them into eating foods sacrificed to idols and sexual immorality. If someone prophecy was false then that definitely was not by the Spirit but does that make them altogether false...A pretender...one not of God? Or did they just speak from their flesh, heart, etc. We don't always speak things by the Spirit whenever we talk though we have the Spirit of God, and we have this flesh. Just like if someone were to teach something false does not make them a false teacher or false shepherd as there have been times where we all in error believed something and proclaimed it or led somebody wrong and did not realize until we grew in knowledge or were corrected. So it seems that someone can speak from a false spirit but that does not make them false.
Moreover, apostles and prophets are not themselves the foundation, they laid the foundation which is Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11) by the written word of God and the rhema word. Prophets and Apostles are listed among those who edify (build up) the body in Ephesians 4:12 (the church, the household of God he refers to at the end of ephesians 2). And we know that prophecy is for encouragement, edification (building one up), and comfort so one way Christ's church is built up is by prophecy. 1 Corinthians 14:4 corroborates that fact.
Paul goes on to say that this equipping and edifying will be happening "TILL we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" which surely didn't happen when we acquired the 66 books of the Bible but rather will not be until Christ returns in His fullness and we see Him as He is and are like Him (1 John 3:2) for now we just know in part.
if prophecy isn't occurring today then we are lacking to an extent of being built up. Christ is living and He has been speaking and will continue to speak!
I think we also tend to think that prophecy is mainly foretelling but like you mentioned it is forthtelling as well and just giving encouraging words of life and comfort. The enemy wouldn't do this as he comes to steal kill and destroy. He may fortune tell or foretell but he cannot truly build someone up, comfort, and exhort them.
Lastly, towards the end of the video you cleverly turn prophecy into preaching but that cannot be done. Prophecy is speaking under divine inspiration at that moment as the word of the Lord comes to them and is in their mouth. You are not prophesying because you repeat a prophecy that has already been written (preaching the Bible). Even when the word was preached in the early church it was under divine inspiration as they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

There is a two fold prophet! One a preaching prophet and the other one a prophesying prophet! The first one gives revelation of the scripture and the second tells of an event before it takes place! Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 9:6 unto us a child is born and a Son is given! He was letting u know the Son of God will be born even though the son wasn’t born when he said that bc Mary wasn’t even born! Agabus in the new testament found in Acts 11:28 is the same type of prophet Isaiah was in the old testament bc they both said what will take place even before it happens! “And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.” So when this narrator says the old testament and new testament prophets are not the same then that’s a complete false statement

No. Whereas the Bible says that there will be people who will prophesy, including women, you can't say that you fulfill scripture by saying women can't speak in church and then read about the Upper Room, "this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel". Either Peter is correct in interpreting scripture on the very day the Holy Spirit moved on him to preach or you are stuck on what Paul says is his own will, that women should be silent in the church.
And the ultimate author of faith and understanding is Jesus. We know in Matthew 24, Jesus said that in the last days, false prophets and false teachers would arise deceiving many. Jesus did not mention real prophets or true prophets to come, He said what is coming, is people falsely calling themselves prophets. Then Jesus said on the cross, it is finished.
That old system of priest, prophets and sacrifices...is finished. The New Covenant does not include the necessity for old prophets because now we have Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to guide us.

Do we have prophets, wrong question to pose. Are we serving The Creator, believing His Son and are HolySpirit filled or are we servants of king James is more appropriate.
The Creator has a Son name Iisous-not jesus, because “no other name under Heaven given among men” can save Us, Faith comes hearing the Word of The Creator-not reading men’s translations, Servants are sent by The Creator to speak of Him and do as He would do if He were present-not those who study men’s translations and leave folks to remain sick or dying.
Those sent of the KJV are the AntiChrist and as all can see claim jesus as the son of the creator, think that reading men’s translations will give one faith, heal or raise from the dead no one and can’t get along.
People READ and Meditate on Ur own time and don’t just listen to these folks because they are totally lost.

You are born a Prophet according to Jeremiah. This is exactly why the body of Christ is in shambles because yall lack discernment, you're disobedient and you don't rightly divide the Word of God. Yall better repent. This is foolishness.

It's funny cause growing up, "titles" were never relevant. It was always pastor, reverend, evangelist or brother. Now it is laughable! These "self proclaimed" prophets, man of GOD or apostles are only full of themselves! What is your motives or intentions you wanted to be called that? Do you want recognitions or part of the glory? What's wrong with just prophesying & just sharing the word without any "monikers"? I've even heard the "anointed"?🤣🤣🤣 Listen, IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD 110 PERCENT! Whatever monikers you carry? IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM! GOD could NOT careless what titles or monikers you have as long as IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM & you preached 110 percent truth! The good. The bad & the ugly gospels! Cause once you titles? Or these monikers? It only means, YOU WANT PART OF RECOGNITION! Not just GOD himself. You want part of the glory & not just GOD, I remember, we have a guest pastor. It took a awhile for him to come out cause aside from his "titles", they were sharing his accomplishments over the years in his ministries. My point is. Many called Moses for example as anointed. But without the WORD which GOD. Moses is just an ordinary man. What makes us relevant & anointed is being 110 percent true with GOD & HIS word to preached. IT IS NEVER ABOUT US! The anointing is in THE WORD cause word is GOD. Not your titles or monikers! Understand that many "preachers" carries titles & monikers but are afraid to preached the whole truth cause they don't want to offend people. You call yourself the anointed one. Apostles or man of GOD but you only preached what's appropriate cause you don't want to offend the church? NO WONDER AMERICA IS DEMONIC NOW! Smh. So, beware with pastors that carries titles or these monikers. Something is wrong with them. WE NEED TO HUMBLE OURSELVES IN THE LORD. GOD deserves 110 recognition! IT HIS STORY THAT NEEDS TO BE TOLD. If somebody calls me prophet, apostles or man of GOD, i would shut it down. I would say, call me brother cause I am nothing without GOD. Titles doesn't make me or makes me relevant or make me the anointed. IT IS HIM WHO DWELLS in me.

There are only two types of prophets truth and false prophets. And there is only one prophecy, that’s the words of God. God has predicted what was to come already.
After Jesus had come that ended all laws and prophets he fulfilled the law meaning prophets was no longer needed it became spiritual. You must be reborn again and come to him in spirit and truth.
    Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
    Matthew 5:17-20
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
    Galatians 5:14
For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Jesus came and showed us the walk to Love. Your are no longer in the flesh when walking in the Spirit. There is no way we could follow and uphold all the laws of the prophets with no help. So he sent his only son who has known him to show us the way to life eternally. To seal us with the laws by believing on him.
    Romans 8:4
so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
    Ezekiel 36:27
I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.
    Romans 13:8
Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
    Romans 13:10
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
The reason he said he will pour out his Spirit and sons and daughters and they will prophesy. He has placed his Word in the minds and hearts. All that are teaching and proclaiming the truth on what’s to come aligned with The Word of God are speaking the true prophecy. You can prophesy without been called a prophet! It’s simply just speaking the words of the true prophets.
    prophecy-
    a prediction.

One thing I’ve notice in the comments of you all who are going hard for this idea that Prophets are not needed… You all keep saying Jesus is enough and Jesus work is finish. We don’t need prophets anymore!
Please Understand this is not about the completed work of Jesus. We know the mystery that was hidden before of Jesus has now been revealed in its fullness! Jesus Saves! He is the Ultimate sacrifice! The Atonement for our sins! The reason we are reconciled to God and able to come boldly before him through Jesus. We are saved by Jesus! Yes! And Praise the Living God for this!
Once we are saved and grafted into the Body of Christ how is the Body of Christ to function while here on earth? Did God list in His word gifts and offices for equipping the church for ministry and edification of the church until Jesus returns? (‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12:1-11‬; ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12:27-31‬)
Did he not list in His word the reason for the gifts and offices? (Ephesians‬ ‭4:11-16‬)
Brother I encourage you to really look for these questions in the word. You all are literally throwing out what God himself set up for the equipping of the church and edification of it. Literally mixing the finish work of the cross with how the Body of Christ who is saved by Christ should function as a whole. No one is arguing that we need prophets to do the work of Jesus as days of old before Christ return.
Prophets help the church understand the heart and desires of God and urge the church to wholeheartedly pursue God and holiness. They can also send a warning to the Church and to individuals.
Also look at Acts 13 when certain prophets were ministering to the Lord and fasting and the Holy Spirit spoke and told them to set apart Barnabas and Saul for the work the Lord had call them to.
Apostle in Greek simply means “sent to”
Again I don’t understand how you all get the idea that Apostles was only needed to set up the foundation of the first church. Can we not use an Apostle today to set up something that was not there before. Literally building a local church from ground up making sure it functions properly and moving on to the next. A great example of this is In Acts 11 with Barnabas and Saul who spent 2 years in Antioch planting a church.
I really don’t know where y’all are getting this idea that we don’t need the offices and gifts that God himself set up for His body to function in the way He saw fit for equipping and edification of The Church. As much as this Channel accuses others of adding to scripture this particular video and you all that agree with this are no better than those who add to scripture. By literally taking away what God has set up…You are spewing out false doctrine at best and a false prophet at worst.

@ItsMeBFairley Jesus is the final atonement. When he wrote there are different members in the body he did not say every member was the same but different. I didn’t say you couldn’t be any other or have any other gift because I know the Lord use men to fulfill his prophecies. Prophets did their job and Jesus fulfilled it! What can a prophetic person tell you today that has not already be said? You’re gonna receive money this week and get seven fold…. Absolutely NOT that type of prophecy don’t align with the word! Why would Jesus walk with 12 men and don’t name one of them as prophets? They became disciples because Jesus himself came to show us the way!

People so caught up in titles the truth is not being taught. Moses’s came as Moses, Elijah came as Elijah, Jesus came as Jesus etc. They were given those titles by God but they was more concerned about being obedient and God being with them. When you in the Spirit you need no man to tell you who’s true or fake, the Spirit himself gives discernment, people get so caught up on who’s false and end up living a false life. not living in love they forgetting the truth!
And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And like a lamb dumb before his shearer, So opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: And who shall declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”

      The proof is in scripture.
We were eyewitness of his majesty.
      2 Peter 1,:16
An Apostle was an eyewitness of the resurrected Christ, there is no one living today who meet that requirement.
The same can be said of a true Prophet.
They were the foundation of the church.
There is only one foundation and was a first century office.
