- Today I am flying from Atlanta, Georgia to Rome, Italy on Delta Airlines! It's a gorgeous day to travel and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to take this incredible trip. Meeting me in Rome is my wonderful friend, Adam, and we share a lovely Italian dinner together before boarding the Disney Dream the next day for the June 20th sailing of the Greek Isles cruise with Disney Cruise Line! I'm also sharing my review and room tour of the Hilton Rome Airport and letting you know what I think of it for a one night stay before boarding a cruise in Civitavecchia.

Yay! Another adventure!!!! We have a couple restaurants here that have mashed potato pizzas. They are so good. I highly recommend them anywhere you can find them. I am ready to get cruising 🙂

100% on the SkyClub. It's got its uses, but it's not always magical. We did take advantage of the one at LAX that has an outdoor portion on our flights to/from Oahu (Aulani) from DTW. But it was crowded, food was okay, so nothing exceptional.

I stayed in that Hilton for an early am flight home. I walked back over to the airport and ate the best pizza. I saw the crew lined up at this place and got in line with them. I found a store selling small bottles of wine and took it back to Hilton. I am so glad the sewer smell was gone but gave me a deju feeling for sure.

We only ever took the train into Rome so it's fun to see the airport 😊 Can't wait to see the rest of the trip!
It was my first time and it’s actually pretty easy to navigate (although I did still manage to get lost on my way home lol)

Living the dream! First Tokyo now the Greek isles! I'm not a cruise kinda girl though I've never been on one, but this seems sooo tempting. (I'm another frequent Delta flier, too. Haha. You're brave going Comfort+ on such a long flight!) One day I'll go to Greece--we're discussing it next year for our 15th anniversary, leave kiddo with my folks and bolt... :) I did promise kiddo though I'm taking him to Tokyo next year, whoops. I agree the SkyClub isn't always worth it, and if you are in JFK try to get into the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, it's so much better!
Sadly, not brave just not in the budget - I generally fly economy or comfort plus. And YES you need to go! We are already scheduled to go back at the end of September and I can't wait to show it to Scott. Thanks for watching!

Same hotel same view same cafe-in Oct before Windstar Cruise to Sicily and Malta and Amalfi--before and after cruise--Everyone v nice but quite a bit busier than when you were there, You summed it up v well--G

Went on a NCL cruise out of Rome for my 50th birthday Solo loved they Airport and everything ROME Italy 🇮🇹
It’s a very nice airport! Mostly easy to navigate.

Hi Jen, me and my husband watched your Italy/Greece vlogs last year and fell in love with the thought of this being our first ever disney cruise - we're now going on this in June 2024. Can i ask, was it easy getting back to the airport on embarkation day and finding the reps as we'll be in Rome city for 3 days prior and unsure where to meet the disney reps in the airport
Jen: I see you enjoyed the in-flight prepared coffee. What are your thoughts about the cleanliness of the water carried on board? I hear a lot about how filthy it is, but I trust your knowledge 😊
Lol Carrie my husband and I have been drinking Delta airplane coffee for over 30 years and have no intention of stopping so clearly I’m fine with it.😂❤️

Did you tour Rome before you got on cruise?
Not this time - the travel day from the US was very long and I chose to take the time to recover and get ready for the cruise the next day.
Hi thank you for responding. Our DCL cruise will disembark there not embark. I feel guilty if not seeing Rome sites and just heading to airport. But seeing some expensive tours. Wondering if it is just best to head to airport. lol @@JenLefforge
@@kiwisun529 I get this but just keep in mind that the cruise port is a fair drive from the tourist destinations of Rome so although pricey a tour would definitely be the way I would go

When I recorded this I had never been there. And yes I’m totally aware it’s ok - as a travel vlogger I go to many places I’ve never been in countries all over the world and it would be very difficult to always get it right. The cracks are how the light gets in.
