It’s crazy how no one really plays harmonica in this day but Ambrose tears it tf up
His father played real well too i think
He's very influenced by his dad, which is awesome. Imagine your son becoming a bigger star than you were because of instilling music in him throughout his whole life. Must feel great.
Theres an emo/punk? band by the name Home Is Where that incorporates it too. Their new album I Became Birds is really Fucking good
@@sgtpepper6379 that’s what Dads are supposed to do.
Brosy
Audio Mixer: Stu Mackenzie damn he's everywhere!
Gotta have Stu for the mixing. Gonna send him my mixtape
BAHHAHA
Hes actually omnipresent
Good catch, wtf

KEXP sound engineering makes live sound better than studio.
So right. It's amazing.
@@mikawaarnink technically he was the sound mixer, not the engineer. Extremely cool nonetheless
They're just great live, too
This is so true I’ve yet to hear a KEXP performance that didn’t sound amazing
I mean it is a studio performance. It’s basically the same as recording in studio except they have to do it all in one take.
Ambrose has got such an oldies voice. I love it
Between these guys alone you've got members from King Gizz, Pipe-Eye, Baked Beans and ORB. It's getting hard to tell what the main and the side projects are over at Flightless. What a goddamn prolific bunch.
And then in ORB, you got Zak Olsen who’s side project is Traffik Island, and is also in hierophants. So much good music between everyone on flightless
now Tim has a side project under the name Mouche
@@jacksonnicholas4288 hes in crepes and swazi gold too
@@jacksonnicholas4288 888888k
wait ORB and uncle murl have overlap too? jesus christ lol
i don't know ambrose personally but i feel like i can trust him with my whole life
Why?
@@ander.sanjuan "if you have to ask, then you don't know"
@@harryroe814 That's such a weird sentance. It just describes non rhetorical questions
You propably would die at 27 from overdoses trusting him your whole life
I am exactly the same
When I first started listening to Kg I thought Amb was just the rattle sound guy. Then I started digging into it, and boy... how wrong I was. He's so fucking awesome.
Currently having that revelation
Yeah more than just an egg shaker and harmonica guy…
Of course Stu mixed this, everything sounds so crispy! Even the drums sound overdriven, it's like the audio was pulled from the 60's

They have one of the most badass harmonica's of all time
When I was discovered King Gizzard, I always thinking about Amby's awesome voice. I was thinking like "oh I wish Amby has a band" and it turns out he already has a band, and when I found out this I was sooo happy about it. Luv u amby💖
That guy's awesome. Saw KGLW in Mexico and Amby was dancing with regaeton before the concert.
@@EndirRangelEspinosa ur so lucky 🥲🥲🥲
Damn... Comfort Zone is such an amazing song.
Rock music has never been this exciting at least since early to mid 90s. So many great bands around.
This is an old comment but the musicianship is there. Some bands these bands have totally given up on the musicianship and focus on writing passable music.
Ambrose is a pretty amazing dude, the fact him and the Cook can do this and Gizzard music, and the drummer of this groups band Beans is very good as well, flightless is so much revivalism but I’ve always thought that’s what rock music should be
Well, now we need a Pipe-Eye - Full Performance (Live on KEXP)
Yes, pleaaaaase
sweets and treats 🍭🍫🍪 🔥
Oh hot damn u KNOW we need this bad
HERE, IN AGINCOURT BAY, PEOPLE WATCH THE SHIPS FLOATING AWAY, AWAY
And ORB Please i really need it.
Glad to see uncle murl on KEXP.
Next stop is king gizzard with their upcoming thrash album
Aug 16th right?
@@vinnycmd ITS THE 16TH? THE FUCK WORLD IS GONNA IMPLODE CAUSE OH SEES IS DROPPING AN ALBUM THAT DAY TOO
Stormeed S please go on
2 daysss
Always welcome to see Uncle Murl live footage, whether they're going full Roman or not.
My daughter bought me a Murlocs T-shirt out of the blue because I cant stop listening to them. What a bunch of musicians give you goosebumps thinking of it all.

what a voice !
As a bass player, I love Cook's basslines. Most would write such boring root note lines, but cook gives it life.
the one bad thing about KEXP is that im usually disappointed when i hear the studio version. always capture what a band should sound like and i love you for it. love the murloc's too!!!
@Samuel Powell im definitely gonna check them out thanks for the tip!
Comfort Zone was the first song I heard by these boys. It hit me right in the heart, so I looked up their other stuff. So freaking glad I did.
great band!
I think his music is very atypical, his tones are dark and the singer's voice is uncommon, I love them
We have so much good music today.
i swear Cook has different hair/beard in every KEXP performance
justin he is amazing...
Cookiedog cult leader Anton lavey phase was my favorite
The Cook in the KEXP videos of him being bald?
@@sims225 hell yeah! And don't forget the beautiful beard
This is accurate
Wow! Good Band! The vocals are very unique and is what pushes this good band way above average!
He has the greatest voice
What’s that thing when it gets better every time you here it. If it were 30 years ago I would dig out every noise they made. Grateful as f hear.
Ambrose is soo dreamy🥰
They deserve so many more views, they are completely solid
This is the first time im listening to murlosc. And i love it!

FInally!! They recorded this like 3 months ago if I remember. Been checking for it almost everyday since
Me too!!!
I love stu mixed this one as well
Really hoping King Gizz plays Infest the Rats Nest on KEXP. I'd pay money to see Mrs. Waters headbang
Max Arceneaux they are actually slated for a new KEXP session according to the KEXP instagram so I imagine they’ll play some of the new album!
I think they played yesterday or the day before.
@@paulpiercerocks1 They played on the 18th, same day as the seattle show. I have a feeling thats why they were so ready to go for the show that night.
Actually i want some Fishin for Fhishies songs in it too.

I got instantly hooked with Comfort Zone, excellent tune.
Thank you Stu for mixing
precious footage of amby from before he went ✂️
before he went scissors? Elaborate.
Jamie Carlin dude cut his hair very recently, it's a lot shorter now
@@yonkers_millyrock ohhh well that makes sense lol. Thanks for the response
Yeah, I also was thinking what that means. Did Aby got circumcised? Did Aby got scissored? Did Aby cut himself with a sharp instrument while running with scissors leading to his hospitalisation? So enigmatic at first.
Nobody cares about yout favorite artist getting a haircut stop fanboying this ain't fucking one direction
Such a unique voice ❤
Stu mixed this amazingly.
Rolling on, classic track.
Need ORB on KEXP Please!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I'm so questing to this when Wow Classic launches.
Finally! and man, these guys sound amazing
I regret not watching this sooner 🌹
audio mixing is really on point
Murlocs are *too* good. Thank you for having them on! Much love from a KRBZ listener to KEXP. You're both excellent stations!
This was amazing. I am so happy this exists
That voice is legendary
yes! incredible voice, unique, rock'n roll that's it!
So so good!!! I had this album on repeat all day and just realized that this live performance was posted 😍
idk now, but this might be my favourite kexp session ever
What an amazing band this is so good, happy i saw them live
What if? packs such a punch and kicks so much ass; love this whole performance!
this session is still gold!
Finally, I need more of these guys in my life
Shoutout to the audio-engineers on KEXP. You know your stuff, dudes. Blown away every time.
It's Stu.
Slick unit :-) Problematic Subject - sooo good.
Cheryl is such a chill interviewer
The harmonica is my new favorite instrument
still eatin up this performance! love it
Just found these guys a couple years ago. Glad KEXP got them on. I hafta see them live!
Remind me of the Raconteurs but not the raconteurs. I love them beautiful songs. Going to follow these right up my street.
I'm very happy to see these dudes playing again
VIVAN LOS MURLOCS!!!
That tongue in cheek thing he does at 11:08 is so hot. Omfg.
ditto
I agree
Gross!
SHEEESH ive been waiting for this since the insta post months, murlocs are the best around
Well. I know what Im listening to all day tomorrow.
I wish I could discover this band for the first time again.
Bloody fantastic ....
The sound is well glued together
I love these guys! This album is SO good!
Brazil is waiting guys, you are really well known here between the stoners
Send help. Can't stop replaying
Can we please talk about how good What if sounded in this. Well all the songs really but especially What if
Love... the jacket!
KEXP is full of pleasant surprises today
Ambrose is looking so sad in all recent recordings. I hope he's not suffering from depression.
😢
Not anymore,@@fredrikhovland9032. Already in 2021, with the release of Butterfly 3000, he was looking much happier on stage and in interviews. And PASSIONATE when Omnium Gatherum came out (Sadie Sorceress!).
Am I crazy? I'm hearing some Bowie in the song Comfort Zone. I love their manic and psychy stuff but that song is beautiful.
Niandra for some reason I hear hella Elton John influence there
Love it! Their guitar player stands out to me... killer riffs
Absolutely. Amazing playin & sound.
What a treat!!
It’s finally here!!! Love Uncle Murl.
My god, spectacular.
These guys slayed in St. Paul MN!!
just found this band a few days ago and it's so badass!
Australia is really killing the music gam rn
It’s about damn time, been waiting for this for months!
Uncle Murl !!!! Thank you!
I’ve been waiting for this day since we heard about it months ago, it’s gonna be a good day
Some top notch sounds
I love this so much
THANK YOU
Murlocs get me on many levels, I am sure I read into lyrics what authors didn't intend to put there
So glad to see em on KEXP! I loved the latest album!
ANTICIPATING THIS FOR AGES!
Don’t know why Ambrose reminds me of those famous actor kids from the 80’s movies like the goonies or stand by me
Literally neither of those movies are from the 90s.
Mikey Heywood then 80s indeed
been waiting forever for this one. worth the wait
I just found out Cookie is also in this band. Good shit
Great album!!
Loved your show in Cleveland please come back soon!
the music crazy in the world viva mexico saludos
