I have loved this song since I first heard it on John Prine's 1979 Pink Cadillac Album. I like that you gave the author of the song Roland Salley, writing credit. When I first started watching this video I almost clicked past it because I thought the vocal sounded to affected or pretentious. I thought here we go another poor cover of this great song. I am glad I didn't because after several plays I think it is a great cover of this wonderful song. The vocal and the steel guitar are just so soulful. I love Malcolm Holcombe's cover of this song and Roland Salley's as well. Most of the other one's I've heard not so much. I am hitting the subscribe button and look forward to seeing and hearing more of your music.
So very GOOD!!!!
Wow!
Sits right there along Malcolm Holcombe's cover - and that is in the high cotton.
Perfect song for you to play with these young men. Y'all killed it.
