4:36 no need to take the cyclone off. Just the bin needs taking off. It was dusty, so it makes sense because the machine rocked a few times meaning dust could have fallen off.
sillysid123 no offence, but the part at the bottom is called a baseplate (floorplate is understandable and works) the one you called a cradle is actually called a soleplate.

Did your dad used to have the same DC01 in the absolute model?
no he had the yellow dc01. but spares that he got with it included parts for the absolute.
