It's Not Always a Happy Ending

Older Gay Single & Disabled. Life doesn't always work out. Being an amputee has made my life miserable. I've become disappointed at myself and my circumstances and my family and friends have not been as supportive as I'd hoped I've reached out here on TH-cam on FB and Instagram yet almost no one cares. So many talk the game of inclusion and acceptance but do not practice what they preach. This video is about my reality and it's pretty hard. It's about as real as it gets.

Wow! Other than the disability this video is like looking in a mirror and seeing my life. I too am a older gay male. I've recently been homeless. I too have no money no prospects of any type. So I can relate. I am glad you did this video because it shows the "realness" of life in general and in particular for older gay males. I wish I could say that it gets better and maybe this will make it better somehow for you. I wouldn't count on support financially or otherwise from the gay "community" as we don't seem to really do that anymore. Gone are the days when we could really rely on each other.
That all said, I think us older gays still have something to offer we still have each other and while there isn't a dime for me to offer you please know you are not alone and that there are many of us out here struggling right along with you. About the only thing I can offer you is by suggesting you contact the Trevor Project as if nothing else they will listen to you. When I was going through the worst of my depression someone told me to call them. While they can't help immediately with money they will listen to you and sometimes that's all we really need is someone to hear our voices.
Keep your head up and I know that's easier said than done. Remember, to do you and life is worth living for even if it seems very dark right now there is always hope. Someone somewhere feels your pain. Good luck!
