If you are experiencing domestic violence it is important to reach out to local helplines, shelters, or support groups for support and guidance and definitely call the POLICE if you are in danger YOU ARE WORTHY AND YOUR LIFE DOES MATTER.
The inspiration was my own DV issues and that of a very good female friend who was repeatedly beaten and bashed by her husband of a number of years. this song took over 9 months to write due to the bad memories it stirred up in me with my experiences, as well as remembering the photos I saw at the time of my severely beaten friend.
we were the fortunate ones we were able to get out of our toxic relationships and move on but we will always have the scars and memories to deal with. domestic violence isn't always about men abusing women there's also a large percentage of women abusing there men and domestic violence IS'NT RIGHT AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED [PLEASE SEEK HELP YOU ARE WORTHY AND YOUR LIFE DOES MATTER.
