Next Up for Top Rank Boxing, The junior lightweight division will crown a king on Saturday, April 30, when WBC champion Oscar Valdez (30-0, 23 KOs) takes on WBO king Shakur Stevenson (17-0, 9 KOs) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Valdez-Stevenson, an eight-round lightweight co-feature between U.S. Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis and Esteban Sanchez, and Nico Ali Walsh versus Alejandro Ibarra in a four-round middleweight special attraction will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Shakur seems like he is born with that it factor: He is favorite to win ; bigger stronger and very technical; I don’t see him losing anytime soon . Valdez might hurt him in some rounds but he will get out pointed in the end .
Agreed. The only guy i could see beating him is Loma but that window is closing fast. It may be closed with Loma going off to war and who knows how long he`ll be out or if he survives. Shakur absolutely smokes Haney, Tank, Ryan and Teo.

I love the way a lot of these young champions and prospects handle themselves these days. Shakur, Jaron, Vergil, Benavidez even Gervonta. They all have a confident humility about them and move with a maturity beyond their years. The future is bright in boxing if the promoters and sanctioning bodies can pull their heads out of their behinds and kill the corruption that still exists.

Valdez doesn’t stand a chance unfortunately. The sharkur I saw the last fight is unbeatable. These are just the facts of the case . He’s untouchable. Pretty boy Floy reborn, and I don’t say this about no man cuz I hold Floyd in a class of his own for real but I had to pick my jaw off the floor watching that boy attack and defend so effortlessly, bro it was art. Reasons why Shakur is a elite, Genetics same as Floyd , and he mastered the distance which other fights don’t seem to understand, when you master the distance and have good genetics ofcourse with natural skill mixed with hard work, your able to hit and not get hit, Shakur has it all to be the best of boxing the only thing he needs to do, is have super hard work like mayweather, I don’t think no one can work as hard as Floyd but Shakur needs to get at least near Floyds work ethic and he can fight the best and be undefeated

I luv Shakur as well, but Floyd Mayweather at 24 he is not. Pretty Boy Floyd would beat life out of boxers. Other boxers would make career decisions to duck Floyd. He was just too much of everything. His only hiccup was against Jose Luis Castillo, which was a decision Floyd won, but in the rematch Floyd beat him so bad it wasn't even a competitive fight. I luv Shakur's confidence but he's not him.
