    His point about parents shouting on the touchline whilst their kids play is so true. I played at an academy for a 1st league team when I was younger after being scouted at my school. I was invited to come along and I was pretty good. After 3 months of going twice a week to train and play and getting shouted at by other children's dads, I just couldn't continue. It was horrible and it scared the shit out of me. Really unhelpful and detrimental to the sport. It's unpleasant even for the most determined child

      To be honest, we developed our own ways of dealing with 'shouty' parents.
      Personally, if a teammate's dad had shouted at me, I'd have battered him (the teammate) after the game.
      There are always ways and means of dealing with folk.

    He feels "sorry for the refugees" Ignoring the fact that most are NOT refugees but economic migrants from Africa- how many does he have living in his mansion? Or does he feels so sorry for them he wants them to live next door to you in Rotherham.

    • @tonib5899
      @tonib5899 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He has twice housed refugees, giving credence to his compassionate opinions. He did not need to and tried to keep it on the downlow. He helped people who needed help, rather than labelling and judging them. His empathy to other human beings during hard times is not only commendable, it also clearly shows he treats people as humans, which we all are. Illegals,refugees,migrants are still people. We dont have to lose our humanity and compassion when policing our borders.

    • @Towerwatson525
      @Towerwatson525 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tonib5899 You make no valid pints or articulate any reasons why open door immigration is good for taxpayers in this country? Neither do you show any empathy for the many thousands of victims of violent crimes like Rape, Murder stabbings and committed by illegal's once here.
      All you do is offer a spaghetti of woke insincere virtue signaling buzz words that are just a pretentious 'look how caring i am" .
      The reality is that these are economic migrants pick that and choose the best country for their illegal entrance based on what is on offer. This is clear, otherwise none would travel through various safe countries before paying £10k to a people smuggler in France to get arcos the channel to the UK.
      It is not the responsibility of this small nation or taxpayers to fulfill their will for a better life . Even the most pro open border fanatic argument is flawed; eventually, even those people using basic mathematics can see that there is a limit to what a tiny country like ours can sustain. On a recent Galop poll in Africa it was revealed that 30% wished to move to Europe. So should we accept 750 million migrants because they are 'humans' and we need to show 'compassion' like your posts claims? What's your limit for the Uk;100 or 200 million compassionate acts?
      Thanks to the far left left Lineker et al openly supporting mass open borders the lines have been blurred so much that the people that our asylum laws were designed to protect are now lost in the sea of these economic migrants and are Unfortuanly then conflated with the illegal activities.

I listened to an episode just today in which someone called in and changed his mind on something. But they did it with facts and a were able to rationally justify their position. They didn't just phone in and repeat what they had read in the Daily Mail or on Breitbart that morning.

Thing is, people like you have over used the word, nobody listens to what you think and that is why arseholes like you have to break into public debates, wearing bandana's over their faces, shouting racist at Mr Rees Mogg because you cant debate. All you do is ridicule and then turn nasty. James O'Brien is a nasty, spiteful cunt and everybody can see that, well decent people can.

    But we were under attack & in fear of our lives & yes we did get in boats, but that was called Dunkirk!… If our older generation had taken the stance of Mr Lineker at 12:26 we’d all be speaking German today!… I see boat loads of refugees which are mainly able bodied men landing on the shores of Italy & Malta & can’t help but think, why aren’t you back home fighting?… I then watch coverage of these same men fighting, attacking & mugging innocent civilians in a country that has given them refuge & think, why should I help you? The downfall & biggest political mistake by Angela Merkal was to welcome these people with open arms. If they are seeking legitimate asylum, why aren’t they doing it in the first safe country they get to? Sorry, but I would rather see funding go to causes that fight the traffickers or give it to the countries that are the first port of call like Malta, Spain or Italy who are bearing the brunt of this. If it was down to me I’d ban all rescue boats from going into the Mediterranean & rescuing people as they are now being treated like a life guard service which the traffickers are using as a selling tool & I would look at the affect at what these migrants have had on countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Sweden & Denmark which has become the rape capital of the world in the last few years & ask myself, what should we be doing to protect ourselves from this invasion? I await the onslaught of abuse & yes before anyone asks I did vote leave, but can you blame me?

    The problem with 'refugees' is that the majority on the boats were not coming from Syria, and the boats were filled with grown men. Very rarely would you see women or children on them. They are economic migrants not refugees.

    Laurel and Hardy, tongue in cheek, Gary Lineker talking to James O'Brien, one has to smile. Did I really hear Gary Lineker say "I never put out my political views" well Gary you have, it's called Brexit, we have heard your views on it. He went on " they have a go on your thoughts especially if we don't agree with them"? and James O'Brien agreeing. If anyone has listened to the James O'Brien show on LBC, they will probably start choking on their Rich Tea biscuit. If anyone challenges him on his show, he instantly tries to humiliate them and if he doesn't get his own way, he sulks. No one needs any lessons from these couple of strange fellas. Gary, if you genuinely feel so strongly about Brexit, why don't you and the BBC set up a Q & A with members of the public, then you might have greater public respect instead of hiding behind the BBC. They talk, naturally not in depth, about "our children's future" so this odd couple are quite happy for our children to live under an unelected leader of the EU, the German Chancellor, those unelected old men called Commissioners, an unaccountable, corrupt organisation. We should also remind them that NATO and not the EU has kept the peace in Europe. Do we really think Germany will start invading countries again? The phrase ignorance is bliss springs to mind.

      Spot - on Jason ,great comments and a strange view in this little corner of socialism ,I think some of the commentators need to "proof - read " what they have written ,especially praising this pair of Leftie wallies ?. 💩

    Stop talking and start setting an example. Convert your large homes to accommodate as many migrants as you can. Let them be part of your life, let them play with your children, find them jobs and teach them how to fit in to our society. Then come back and tell us how virtuous you are.

    Gary Lineker is such a good human being, so interesting and seems brave (cos most ex Footballers refuse to engage in anything other than football) British people should be so proud of him. Id love if Roy Keane Our most famous Footballer was more socially consious like Gary.

      I find his voice very irritating infact quite boring, however, I guess what is most important is the content. Gary Lineker may be able to discuss football but he doesn't have much more upstairs of any importance.
