For anyone wanting to see me cheese the recent Smite update, I'll see if I can play enough to do both but I'm more interested in prioritizing Predecessor right now. I'm having more fun with Predecessor than I would be with Smite 2 right now so I'm planning to grind it pretty hard until I learn it enough to actually get a bit sick of it.

You're gonna love Pred, especially once you get used to the pacing/rotations. Fun fact, in the original game Serath was designed to be a melee-carry.
If you haven't noticed serath is left handed in so happy to see paragon come back after so long truly a fun game

One tip for you as a jungler. New(ish) players tend to underrate the importance of fangtooth. Not only that he gives permabuff (the 3rd is straight power buff) also after the 3rd it spawns a primal fangtooth, where u get a really strong extra burn Dot on your attacks (whole team).
So like in the second game at 16:16 you guys kill support, their jungle is on the other side, then straight to fangtooth. Some heroes (khai, grux, Feng mao) also can solo the non-primal fangtooth.

This. After the 15ish min mark, if fang isn't done, go solo it. Pretty sure most junglers can solo it at that point, especially if you double smite.
Just don't try that with primal fang. It hurts.
As a serath player you can solo fangtooth just not a great idea cause I end up crazy weak

@@RichelleKullickMancia In my experience with Khaimera he can do it as soon as it spawns at 5:00 but he's likely an edge case scenario. I would imagine right after completing first item you can certainly do it with hunt(s) up as Serath, probably before that.

@MastYT you still had the search for “Bas” in the search bar of the item shop, so your items were filtered. You have to remove your search for all the items to appear again. It’s pretty silly. Also, that bar can be used to search for basically anything, the search is really useful.

Seraths Q can be used as a body block! At the end of the ability you will teleport based on the direction of your camera. For example if you are chasing rotate your camera so that you are watching the opponent run directly at you and you will teleport infront of them not behind them. Loving the predecessor videos keep it up man this shit is great

Really enjoyed the video but important tip! The sweeper aoe circle and beeping CAN be heard by everyone, so all those missed ganks and "can he see me?" were because you had the sweeper going, its better to sweep after the gank or if they turn and run before you get there.

I'm so freaking excited to start watching you play predecessor. You were my favorite streamer when I played smite, it's been a couple years now that I've played smite.
Really enjoying the Pred Mast! Started learning the ropes with some friends and its a lot of fun.
So hyped to see Mast enjoying Predecessor! Serath is amazing, if you wanna cook take the assassins crest so you can upgrade it to Nex and then take Pen items, after two items she dumps every squishy and does decently against tanks. Imbue a Citadel into there for physical defence so u wont get 1 shot. Havent played since last patch so im not up to date with the exact build atm.

Tectonic Mallet on Serath jungle is really good as a 4th or 5th item imo. It has solid stats and it gives you extra power based on your move speed. Serath gets like 12% move speed from her ult, 20% from ortus, and like 5% mallet itself so it's really nice on her. Also bonesaw could be a good item to build too if you're going overlord and basilisk because it gives you a ton of health and it does even more damage based on max health lol. Overlord, basilisk, bonesaw, tectonic mallet, then like citadel or stonewall last depending on if you want more offense or defense respectively is a solid build imo.

You can just let it auto build or build recommended until you get the hang of it, play a lane and late hit minions you'll get it it's not hard to get the hang of

Was like that with Smite when I started years ago, but eventually learned - so probably the same here too, but you could be built different and get it quicker
Auto buy is great for the most part, just farm your lane and duel your opponent. Ward your jungle to avoid getting ganged from enemy jungle or enemy laner that roams. You can also roam yourself out of your lane when you want to.
You want to help defend your towers, take enemy towers, and contest the two map objectives. There is also two buffs jungles usually focus on.

Kwang is definitely a bit of a weird one, but would love seeing you play him in the long run. You could also try Shinbi, she is also pretty fun in Jungle!

Another tip is that you can sometimes hear sentry wards so be mindful when you pop it and are hovering fog walls you may give yourself away to enemy and the same goes inverse. Idk if it’s bug or feature

Serath is a top pick for me, even back in Paragon. She’s sick. I think she has a ton of build variety, a lot of people go the ADC atk speed build, some go a bit bruiser.
I really like an assassin/burst build (sorta like what you’ve cooked up), getting a ton of Atk/Pen from items like Mindrazor* (trans), Malady, and the item that builds Torment as you move (Omen?), and then getting the item that converts Pen into Atk speed later in the build. Give it a try!

in the old paragon i used to play sevrog with max attackspeed and power combo, there was an item that gave shields on AA and my base hp was 1 but i hit so fast i couldnt be killed
As jungle do we drop our laners buffs for them? Or leave them to get for themselves?

I don't know if you know this already but you can fly out of the jungle practice map if you put on hast and spam flash.

Fun thing to keep in mind with your Kira teammates (or enemy Kiras) is while there's no visual indication for it, she has the Chiron mark system. She marks people then can pop it which is how that Muriel died at around 16:13
It will have a dark aura on the target if she has hit enough basic attacks on the person. I think it's 8 max, not sure when the aura shows tho.

@MastYT Crunch has been really fun for me. Also, Riktor can be super fun, all about hitting the hooks. You couldn't find Vanquisher because you had "bas" typed in so it filtered it out. I do it all the time as well.

2:00 why do this jungle camp instead of going blue immediately and having the extra damage from blue buff? In fact, is there any credence to it being a better idea to do red then immediately run to blue, then do the other jungle camps when you're double stacked on buffs that significantly affect clear time?

Welcome to the Pred community brother! Also just in case no one hit on it yet, the reason you couldnt find the execute item (Vanquisher) was because you still had search filtered by "Bas", so it only returned items with "bas" in their names. Cheers.
Sometimes you can get ganked at red, but it’s not super often. Still kinda have to look out for the more aggressive jungles though like khai and grux, and sometimes even mid laners like wraith with his snipe trying to last hit it. You can also kite the minions pretty effectively to save health against the jungle minions since the clear is slower than smite.

I think you would like kwang a lot. You should definitely try him out. I feel like his playstyle suits you, and he’s good in solo and jungle.
At about 15:00 go take teal buff off the field since both offlaners are low. Also, the "middle camp" is for different buffs slight XP and gives you mana back it's good for midlaners to grab these at 3 minutes and then every two minutes after. If you are around and can grab one to take it off the field if your midlaner gets the other one that's what you want, just helps make the other midlaner not be able to stick around as long.

Countess is my main jungle. Start with her Q and go red immediately to their blue, and then take their 3 camp and rotate back to yours. You'll be 4 before their team is level 3 and I think she has the fastest lvl clear in the jngle for now.
The mana regen you get from river bugs is so huge for wining the mid lane. If your mid gets it and you deny the enemy mid you can shove wave to tower and force them to kit dump to not lose farm. The kill them witht the mana diff, of just force them to back more and out farm them or take fang at 5-6 min

To get bopped less as a jungler, try to to juke and run around the jungle monsters while still hitting them, because the monsters have to take a little bit more time running back up to you again to land hits

Mast from what I know, you don't need to finish overlord first, just get the cleaver component for clear and then build your next item. After 1 or 2 items you can finish overlord for better value on the item passive
You've gotta try Crunch jungle. His combos are the most fun in the game imo and he's pretty versatile.

24:00 that waa clean af bro, as a jungle don't forget to kill Fangtooth the raptor looking guy it's very important kinda like Gold Furrys in smite. Orb prime is the Fire Giant version
Also BTW you should have like 3 to 4 fangtooth by minute 20 if the enemy hast taken any

Edit- 19:43 narbash is so satisfying to stun people with. That heavy "Thunk" feels great. Reminds me of Rajin with the drums on the ult.
I've been maining a shinbi build in solo that's crazy stong. The occult bow with prophecy for crazy aa dmg, lots of magical power and a hybrid build so I'm tanky but shred them. Super fun dive character. Only problem is a weak early game in sum match ups but if u go full power early u can dominate some lanes or play slow with orb of growth/marshal then a hybrid Def item 2nd. Prophecy is so good, I build it 3rd item every game in solo and it's all I need other than the starter bow for aa speed
The phys def/power bracer is a staple item for her imo. Amplify and the frosted (hydras type item) arr also good on her. Amd the frosted + another item proc double slows which can be nice since she has no cc but I don't use that build anymore. Build now is occult bow, marshal, hybrid phys bracer/magic Def breastplate, prophecy, #2 item i didnt get - bracer/magic breastplate, and sum phys def item I forget for 5th item. Ideally anyway...
If I get fed/they dont have scary magic dmg, I'll go spell breaker magic Def hybrid item instead of breastplate and have 4 of my 5 items have good magic power and be hyper aggro with that
What's the best advice you can give for someone starting to play this?
Make sure you’re kiting the jungle camps as you farm (run around in circles so they have to chase you instead of just standing still). This means they attack you less frequently so you take less damage overall from camps and can be more set up for ganking post jungle clear. But nice vid overall! Keep up the good content!
I always double smite that first camp to clear faster and do a quick lvl 3 gank or invade their blue
It does get invaded sometime, but u can double smite the red on mostttt characters without risk of getting invaded. It depends on ur basic attack damage to whether or not ur smite wil be back up for the perfect secure. But usually I smite instantly
lol i think Mast would REALLY benefit from reading Narbash's kit. He had no idea what he was doing in the back
to answer the early question Hunt (which you're (rightfully tbh) calling smite), it does matter to use the execute function rather than opening with it.
As I understand it, you get bonus gold based on how much HP the monster had left when you execute it, and it's more gold the more excess damage you deal with the execute (diminishing returns apply at some unknown point).
I will say, as Jungler, don't be afraid to solo Fangtooth if you're reasonably sure you won't get pushed. You can solo it pretty early on. I'd say if your first item has sustain built in or your kit has it in a decent amount (Khaimera/Rampage), you can get Fangtooth on your own 1 and a half items in
Practice kiting the jungle camps around to take less damage. Backing in circles around the camp can help min max the health coming out of jungle and help you be healthy to help your team if need be.🤘🏼

During the second match, 4 out of the 5 deal Magical damage. All but Grim.exe deal Phy basic att damage, but their abilities could do either and/or both.
In my time playing recently I've been finding Serath to be insanely strong, she's already fast but with the right movement speed items she's impossible to shake
Part of me is like “bro take an hour to read through the abilities of all characters so you are at least aware” but also Mast is so talented he can be surprised by their kits and still win and his reactions are funny so it’s good either way.

Yeah I’ve had that thought of smite or not early on red. What I come to is to just let the time go and kill with smite. There is nothing up in time for you to not be smiting buffs to kill at the beginning of the game. Invades are semi common at higher ranks

I have had my first red buff smited by the enemy jungler. If this happens, they can sometimes even kill you because they are full HP, you are not, and they have a red buff. Your laners can come help, but they miss level 1 farm for trying to bail you out, and then 2-3 of your 5 players are already behind when the game has barely started.
Holding your smite is like pulling blue buff in a way that it can't be stolen. Losing your first blue is usually auto-lose lane for 2 minutes. I mean the blue buff in Smite. This is hard to talk about when people call Hunt "smite", but I need to compare to the game Smite.
Edit: also, placing a pregame ward in one of the river entrances which can give you notice of an incoming invade, but it's a 50/50 on what route they take.
Anyone know if this game has ELO based matchmaking yet? Or any sort of skill based matchmaking?
Because my first couple matches were with actual bots. My first ever match had a kalari and and wraith disconnect/afk most the match too
Serath seems crazy every time I've gone against her. But I also have no clue what she does, she's just so damn fast. Everyone also builds her crit, so that's probably why I struggle. I just struggle with crit in this game

Invade is rare, does happen from time to time, I Also like Serath, she can absolutely dominate at times, super squishy tho

When I was playing Overprime invades were a big thing but since I downloaded pred I haven't had an issue with it. I've invaded but haven't been invaded, so maybe I'm just the only asshole lol
Play some Shinbi. She’s always been my favorite character to play either bruiser or burst, she’s really really fun in my opinion.
