  • @BreaktheClouds

The build is really cool, don't get me wrong. However, as an RC tanker myself, I feel they didn't include enough for the outrageous price they're asking. It's another 1/16 scale Leopard, which was their first mistake. Why not an M60? Or a tank that ISN'T already widely available from EVERY company thats ever touched RC tanks? There are already several (better) options from established companies available if you want a 1/16 Leopard. Especially when you take THAT price into consideration. This feels like an expensive metal snap-together toy, as opposed to a legitimate hobby grade RC, demonstrated by small details like the obnoxious "recoil". Idk about you, but i don't want a tank that looks more like it's jumping from a scare than firing it's cannon. Speaking of cannons, it's also ridiculous that such an expensive model doesnt feature cannon recoil. The "Subscription" for the parts is a huge turn-off. The hatches and lifting skirts are cool features, but again, for the price I'll pass. Also, that transmitter looks SO cheap, although the featured screen is cool. I'm not trying to shit on a cool product, I'm just saying that every feature this tank has and more can be found in better tanks for a third of the price, or there are evenly priced models as this one with WAY more features and usability, as ALL of these alternative tanks can battle with each other via an IR system. Also, the other tanks have a plethora of parts available for upgrades/repair. What are you supposed do when this one breaks or becomes obsolete? The tanks i mentioned are virtually modular. You can swap out literally every part with readily available upgrades to any feature you want to have. It's cool that other companies want to get in on this hobby, yes. There's not nearly enough love for RC tanks. What I'm not about, is some greenhorn company making what appears to be a ridiculously expensive "knock-off". If you want to get into RC tanks, and you want something that's easy to just take out of the box, put together and run, get a heng long. I paid less than 300 for mine (came with all the metal parts) and built on it over time. If metal is your thing, for the price of the Agora you can get a Taigen. More interested in modeling? Get a Tamaiya. THOSE are models worth shelling out that kind of money for. I'm just trying to look out for my hobby, thank you for listening to my rant.

What you are calling the turret is the main gun barrel, the turret is the big turny bit the gun goes into. The bit that gun goes through to give it elevation control is called the mantle. The bit at the back of the gun inside the turret is called the gun breech.
The front armour on this example of the Leopard 2 is a more modern upgrade to the armour on earlier versions. The armour on this version has added explosive reactive armour on the front of the turret giving the tank an extra 30 cm of effective armour when you account for the slope. The armour is made to explode outwards when it is hit countering the energy of the incoming round offering better protection for the crew and equipment.
Inside of the tank should be painted white.

Also, I pushed the forked part through first thing, with a little oil. Still, as I progressed, some were very hard to get the forked part through the treads.Believe me the filing really helped to insert the middle little part. I wished I had started this earlier.

Lot of good that does me now. My wife does not like that I spend so much on these models. The theory I have is that you got your items way before someone that just started building and perhaps their manufacturing equipment was aged, not keeping the standard with which the first runs of this were produced. Just a little bit of advice to any newbie modellers out there, if you are having problems lining up the centre pin thru the tracks of the tank, because I encountered the problem myself. The tracks have rubber pads which actually lift the track slightly, just place two pieces of track on Blu tack or something similar, then place the centre holding pin in and then you can easily align the holes for the two pronged pin. Thank you Wayne. :)
