I have same problem with weight on roads for concrete delivery for my foundation. County or state says end of April before limit is lifted. Have to pay more to have more trucks with lighter loads to get it next week. Good luck with your trusses. Really like watching your videos & you & Kim together too!

Now I see you putting on the bottom portion of the sheathing level with the sill plate. Why not go an inch or 2 below that just to help with water getting under the sill plate. Just curious.

Hey you Guys should watch all those Shelter Institute of Maine Timber Frame classes and actual Timber Frame raising for PLFL.... They have like 40 or so videos of information and actual Mortise & Tendon Joinery!!!
    I like that Copper preservative!
Don’t break your wrist on that Milwaukee Drill.
The rain doesn’t do you any good either!!!!

35 plus years experience in residential construction dufas which is why I can state out how bad they make mistakes and waste time and money. I was building them right and getting payed when I was 14. I started unpayed on my parents house in 1969 when I was six years old when my job was to nail the subfloor down. My dad tacked the corners of the sheets and the outer edge where the walls were and I nailed down the rest one joist at a time. I even chalked a line by myself to keep the rows of nails straight and that floor still does not squeek.

Well SIR, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.
But I’m bloody well sure YOU are hurting “PLFL”s feelings by commenting this way about them - and probably on purpose.
Why don’t you just applaud their efforts to build a life and a house to the best of their capabilities, meanwhile sharing it all with us?
Really… please never visit The Do It Yourself World. THERE’s someone who never does a single thing right. You’d get a heart attack.

Builded this way what's the cost going to be if you don't build at the other way what's the cost going to be over 50 years and it's in electrical and cooling bills so if you don't understand the both what the cost of one way where you pay all up-front will you save money down the road when will it be the other one from the beginning we wouldn't have anybody to have been burning coal anymore and all that stuff wasted our money to the power companies that got rich power Flats cuz we don't have any place to build them so they have to make the homes because the power plants that they needed to start with in the beginning how are you going to get you water how you going to get your summer and how are you going to get you here closes at 3 where we're at where we live every year if we don't have a way to catch the stuff we need every year that's the problem you don't have a way to save it when it comes out so quick if we did that we would
