Thank John, I’m currently working on something with the service manager from elite optical, to see if we can sort it out by ourselves 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Should know by Tuesday
I'm honestly really liking the new fw update. The zoom isn't such a big deal for me. The previous way was super sensitive, two clicks and you were up at x14, a little too fast for my liking. I reckon the fix is to offer the user several zoom steps.
That’s fine, me perfectly I want that quick up and back option, but just think how good if we could choose from three options !! After all, there’s three choices for auto record 🤷🏼♂️👍
Great video and information. Ive just changed over from a normal Pard ds35-70 to the aplex 4k. The pard held the lasered distance in the screen until you lasered for a new distance. This would be one of the big differences I've noticed with the alpex. Like everyone else i believe that needs to change/ be upgraded. I'm yet to do the firmware upgrade.
Great vid, Everyone has different thoughts on what they like and dislike. But for me the upgrade is great, the LRF aim point is very good, and for my type of hunting the zoom is more practical now. The Alpex mk1 will probably have the alterations in the next update. so Im guessing its each to their own. But Hikmicro will act on what people say. not like some of the other manufacturers out there.
Hello chum, Yes as long as the individual owner is happy with their scope, that’s what HikMicro sales want, to give everyone the options and choices, would make the whole world a much happier place tonight 👍👍
Hello Alan , Well that’s the million dollar question chum, I’ve never list zero previously, but watch the video I’m editing now for a more updated answer 👍
@predatorprotectionuk will do. The update has been removed for the moment anyway. obviously for tweaking maybe after they realised it wasn't quite ready yet.
Not updated yet but looks interesting especially the option for fps and different aim point styles. I'm with you, why can't the range value stay onscreen until a new range is pinged, when I edit short clips together the range doesn't stay long enough to be in the video, if this was sorted the Alpex would be my all time favorite scope! ;)
That’s exactly what I experienced try to edit Andy’s shots, I think it’s all been caused by a very clever CCTV engineer, making a rifle scope that he thinks is going to be great. Small zoom increases are OK for watching CCTV back, but not really ideal for us. The choice of all 3 would be the best solution here.
@@predatorprotectionuk Agreed, and it sounds like they listen well enough, so I guess all we can do is gently persuade them to give us more options in further updates!
Ah ! Great question. Rabbits, Venison and wild boar meat is given to the hard working guys at Tescos , who spend all day cleaning cars. My wife and I are lucky enough to get our cars cleaned in exchange for the food I supply them all 👍
I agree you have the option of both but us being British with our mixed up measuring system here it would nice to be able to mix and match I.e. FPS for speed and MM for scope hight
Each person is entitled to their choice, but to have various options available on the settings, would make everyone happy in their own corner of the world 👍👍👍 thanks very much for watching and writing your own thoughts
No I don’t think so, Elite Optical were very appreciative of my efforts to make an effort to move forward with the problem. Don’t worry, it’ll get resolved soon 👍
Stick it on a proper gun with a good mod and you will not get rid of that mod glare I know of three people all with same. Problem even with extra high mounts the the firmware was the icing on the cake sold and now gone back to a drone pro x10 no messing about
Use higher mounts if that is a problem for you . Also look at how your IR is mounted. I have moved from my Drone to the Alpex and whilst it doesn't have the Drone's clarity I won't be going back
@JulianVoelcker Hi Julian , u I don’t think it’s as simple as that chap, they’re fitted in factory and a very basic lining up test is carried out, one of my viewers has set four up now for different people, and all four were completely different to each other. That’s simply down to quality control checking not being stringent enough
Thank you for all the effort. I’ve held back on the update after seeing your first video and I am following eagerly waiting on a fix.
So am I 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼👍
excellent video as usual you go the extra mile to help us much appreciated

Don’t do anything Adam , leave it as it is, that scope will be worth a fortune mate 👍👍🤣

When you install the new firmware on Alpex lrf, do you have to re-zero scope and set up all the profiles again or are they still there??

@brtshpestcontrol9536
Yes indeed, if there are three time options for the pre record, why can’t there be three options for the zoom, audio etc…..?
Very good old chap, hopefully it'll be sorted soon 🤓
Should be Johnny , I expect there have been a few raised voices in the head office this week !
What firmware are you using on your mk 1 alpex please
The latest , with the green and sepia screens, there’s a video I did last week about it
Thank you
What do you think about the latest update on the mk 1 alpex ??
@1965HY you’re welcome chum
@1965HY has it improved it ??
Probably not for me 🤷🏼♂️
I won't be updating till they restore that zoom function.
I don’t blame you matey ✊🏻
What do you do with the rabbits you kill
Ah !
Great question.
Rabbits, Venison and wild boar meat is given to the hard working guys at Tescos , who spend all day cleaning cars.
My wife and I are lucky enough to get our cars cleaned in exchange for the food I supply them all 👍
Won’t make any difference to me as I won’t be updating the firmware
Don’t buy Chinese scopes or anything for that matter if at all possible. There are other good NV scope companies out there in other countries.
You can still measure in metric imperial measurements
That’s what Andy said
I agree you have the option of both but us being British with our mixed up measuring system here it would nice to be able to mix and match I.e. FPS for speed and MM for scope hight
@@AndrewPCSOxfordshire I had an old friend that was a steel fabricator and he'd use both sides of the steel rule...🤣
I must be in the minority as the latest firmware i think is great and cant fault any of the changes tbh.

On the update. You still can’t tell the ballistic calculator has removed the option to tell it what your zero is.
Sorry mate not really sure what you mean
@@AndrewPCSOxfordshire
In the ballistic section where you input fps and bc you had to input the zero distance. That has gone
@@2pthefenderman77 ah I hadn’t realised that lol 😝 I’m guessing it picks that information up off the zeroing profile you use for your crosshairs
@@AndrewPCSOxfordshire I wondered that but we will see. I’m not sure why it’s something they would remove
@@2pthefenderman77 probably just to look cleaner and you can have multiple zero points for the same ballistic profile

I’m not using a thermal scope
@@predatorprotectionuk yes if u put the alpex lrf on a centre fire with a good mod like Stalin nd wildcat u get mod glare
