Blue october straight up saved my life. I've met Justin twice and by the grace of my own composure, I didn't explode. I had to tell him "I had a gun and I had a plan, then I heard your voice"
He saved me with "weight of the world" I'm forever grateful.

I"m 54 years old and have seen more live shows than I can remember. Rush, Zeppelin, Tool, and on and on. I have to say Blue October (seen them 6 times) is my favorite live show. They are extraordinary. Knowing lead singer (Justin Furstenfeld) life story makes their songs even better. If I could only see one live show again as long as I'm on this planet it would be Blue October.

Oh wow you are so lucky! It’s about 15 years since i heared blue october for the first time. I was watching so you think you can dance US. And someone was dancing to 18th floor balcony. I went to youtube right away. The second song i heared was hate me. They have been nr 1 for me ever since. I live in Norway. Was going to see them in england a few years ago. But they changed the date and then i could not go 😣 have VIP tickets and everything. They have never come to Norway. I really hope to see them live one day. It would be the best day of my life. Their live videoes are amazing. You are so lucky to have been able to see them 6 times!

You NEED to do the music video for their song "The Worry List" Incredible song about him and his daughter. The music video helps explain the song really well.

The roar at the end just absolutely breaks my heart. Every bit of pain let out in one mighty explosion of emotion.
Thank you for sharing your soul with us ❤️.

I'm going to tell you why this band works so well.. The singer and drummer our brothers, and they have been the same band since high school.. And therefore they have all experienced what everybody personally has gone through in life, which I think helps enhance the song, because I think they all feel for each other situations which comes out in the music.....And I just got to see them at Red Rocks Amphitheater and they sound the same as they do on the record

It was a great show, I only wish they played longer. But perfect performance I say. And what a special place to see a concert.

Nobody makes you feel like Blue October. Justin has an acoustic version of Fear that is just pure emotion that you would absolutely love!

I think their music have been with alot of people trough really hard and really good times. They are what i listen to 90% of the time. There is noone like them i think.

At first I was like Blue October, wtf, don't need another teenage angst band. Then I listened to your reaction to "I hope you're happy" and my middleaged heart just exploded. Thank you for your reactions and thank you for introducing Blue October to me. ❤

Ok new Blue Fam..... now watching WORRY LIST (official video) IS A MUST!!!! His daughters name is Blue Reed. Shes like 15 now. He has a younger daughter Saydie Bell and a son Gunner Black. Blue October started in 1995 outta Houston Tx. Justin Furstenfeld the singer and the violinist Ryan Delahoussaye went to Houston school of visual arts together. Justins has struggled with mental illness, depression, bipolar as well as addiction. You'll notice that alot of time Ryan will be playing the violin and keyboard as well as singing at same time. The drummer is Justins older brother Jeremy Furstenfeld. Fun fact he didn't know how to play the drums but the band needed a drummer so he learned. He now hand crafts beautiful drums!

Thank you for doing so many reaction videos of Blue October. They are an independent label and, as such, remain under the mainstream radar. It is a shame because they are so incredibly talented musically, lyrically, and emotionally. They have a strong cult following but would love for them to reach the full success they deserve. They are, by far, the best live band I have ever seen

My favorite band and I love this song. Encourage you to go into their older catalogue which is harder and angrier with the same sung emotion. For more “metal” songs and deep cuts try “The End (Things We Do At Night)”, “Any Man in America”, and “Dirt Room”.

The bass player is Matt Noveskey and he's from Detroit . I swear he's found the fountain of youth because he hasn't aged at all. The guitarist in this video is CB Hudson. He's not in the band anymore but I've seen him play here and there with them live sometimes. The guitarist now is Will Knaak from Austin Texas but he's leaving for another opportunity and I'm not sure who's coming in after him next. During the lock down Justin figured out all the online stuff and had weekly Tues night AA / hang out with Justin nights. Can't wait to y'alls next Blue October 💙 reaction!

There is one live performance of this song I can't bare to watch it must have been shortly after they split because the raw Pain in voice and on his face when he sings this song.....he's actually crying by the end
Edit: y'all should watch the official music video is so emotional you can see the hurt on his face it was around 2009 he's in a much much bettet place now mentally emotionally and musically.

Thanks for picking this one; great choice to react to. 🤘Responding to the point that they "added the violin for emotion" (an understandable misapprehension since many bands add strings on single tracks for this reason): Ryan has been there from the start. The violin isn't on every song but it's definitely an integral part of their sound.
