David Ash IS the starting quarterback for Texas. They were running a two quarterback scheme at the beginning of last year but they eventually chose to make David Ash the full time starter.

I lived in San Antonio and Malcolm Brown went to my sister's high school. Can't wait till I get NCAA 14 maybe I'll do a UTSA dynasty.
I play with UTSA too. That DE Harris is a Beast. Shift your d-line to the right and rush right and he will live in the backfield.

Props for doing this. Wish I could record because I'd do the same thing. Into 3rd season with a created D3 school. Started out as the worst team. Playing and recruiting on Heisman, no losses a Fiesta Bowl win over OKST and a Sugar Bowl over LSU.

Fred Arnold is my #1. I have a few I'll be happy with but I think with those stats he could be a star on this team.
play as d-lineman, you always play with your safeties and you blitz when they have a coverage route. that's why the opponents receivers are always wide open.

5? Gotcha with Okotcha! His 5th injury in 3 games. I think following his injury totals is the most amusing stat of this dynasty.

Doing something similar to this with Texas State. Heisman recruiting and gameplay. I went 5-7 first season and brought in the 39th recruiting class to go 8-4 with a C-USA championship in year two.

on my rebuild franchise im rebuilding the akron Zips and on week 1 i was headin to ohio state and i had nooo confidence headin into tht game and i actually beat them on heishman difficulty 20-15.. I made tht franchise cause u inspired me to make a rebuild franchise and its goin ok so far lol

funny story Jackson Shipley ( UT's WR), Evans Okotcha (UTSA RB) and Nic Johnston (UTSA Safety) all played at the same highschool
note that your #1 prospect is from schertz texas this is a sub burb of san antonio it would be just a short drive across town for him to get to school from there

Damn you actually showed alot of improvement on this game. Started off bad but good finish. Just try your hardest to not turn the ball over and not allow so many big plays on defense. But ya your improving good job!

McCoy and ash were co starters most of last year but this year looks like ash seperated himself in camp.in the game ash is rated higher.and go okatcha for heisman!
damn you know your texas longhorns players, do you like study the other teams depth chart or just you know.

Ash is the starter and McCoy is the backup, but I think in real life that the third string QB Conner Brewer will get the starting job after a few games.
Look up Operation Sports, as they have a updated roster on their forums.

What Texas does is similar to LSU in the sense that they don't always use just one quarterback, just a bit more extreme. From the two or three UT games I watched last year, after benching Garrett Gilbert (he would later transfer to SMU), Mack Brown would use David Ash and Case McCoy both pretty evenly. Ash is better in my opinion, but neither are really that good. McCoy seems to be more mobile than Ash.

I believe that Texas in real life switches from Ash to McCoy a lot to see which is their guy.
