+Greenspan Isn't it the truth. We didn't understand what we actually had. I would absolutely not have thrown out what she gave him. I would have recognized and cherished it now.
The GREATEST gifts in LIFE are knowing what you have and KNOWING what to do with it. Once you figure both out, LIFE is VERY, VERY simple. You'll see!!!
Have you actually seen the movie? That isn't what happened. He let Belushi's character convince him he was whipped and he breaks up with her. He loved her but was too weak to tell him (Belushi) to fuck off. Belushi's character does what he does because he knows no woman will ever love him. Elizabeth Perkins' character works Demi Moore's character the same way.
I had friends just like Litgo.....who would try to sabotage me so I could keep the good guy times going! My girlfriend at the time had a friend just like Joan......didn’t like me and was jealous any time the two of us went out. We had a lot of hot times, like Dan & Debbie, but we also went on to fight a lot and break up. I had one of those moments just like Dan did in this scene, but luckily for me my girl did give “us” another chance after about two months broken up. Got married in 1991 and are still together today. Always made me sad when he told her he didn’t love her anymore. Demi was so innocent and beautiful. I would have told Litgo to find another drinking buddy and I would probably still be in the shower with Demi today.....:)
I love this video. omg.. I love Rob Lowe and Demi Moore is so pretty. :) I've been in a situation like this before. I want to see this movie really bad. Im gonna go buy it. She's crazy for not taking him. :) I love Dan. lol. Good video.
one of of the BEST movies of the 80's...it had comedy hard to be topped...classic one liners...awesome soundtrack...and the on screen chemistry and romance was blow out...
Remember when he came home and she wasn't there. You knew then how much he missed her. In retrospect, they moved to quickly and they thought that since they had such great sex it would be enough but it wasn't.
I’m a Sag. Yes we love our freedom and we love adventure . We love our individuality . But once we find love, we love hard , we love deep and we fight for it. We are faithful to the very core of our soul. We have the most power of all signs. 💕
The best thing about this movie is Jim Belushi. The stuff between Lowe and Moore is the usual, ultimately banal relationship crap anyone over 25 will have been through at least once. But Belushi gets (or makes) all the best lines, he remains free of tedious emotional entanglements, and he never, ever compromises his sense self, for anyone. What a guy!
This scene should be required viewing for anyone in a relationship.
They never know what they had til its gone
This part makes me sad and heartbroken.... one of my absolute favourite films ever, i watch it when i need to reflect, today is one of those days
totally..this movie rocks in so many ways...you're right on the money!
FunkyDCG love your comment
I remember when this movie came out in the eighties. I could relate
SO true...the whole aura of this movie is what pure 80's magic stands for. I LOVE the soundtrack to this day. and what an era....80's....just gold...
This is such a great scene.
Tragic isn't it? When you realise too late just how much someone means to you.
You don't know what love is....👏👏👏

Guys, we've all been Danny at one time or another. Watching this is a stark reminder of our stupidity. Great movie!
+Greenspan Isn't it the truth. We didn't understand what we actually had. I would absolutely not have thrown out what she gave him. I would have recognized and cherished it now.
Our inherent inability to recognize the value of what we have is our undoing. Especially with love.
