Many of us out here that have been among the Big 10 know the facts about OH STATE. And it's obvious they are one of the top favorites for the Title many are saying this internet wide. Teams need not take them lightly or more than likely they'll lose. That's an easy analysis. MI is a great team but I see them soon not being able to keep that 3 game winning streak. I just can't and we know so many games are just one score games even by a field goal or less. It's that way especially nowadays it's crazy. I am an Ohio State fan but I also see things with Ryan Day a little differently. First of all, he is fairly young and he is developing as a head coach. It's true that they have failed in the last few years but what I have seen, doesnt tell me hes a bad head coach. They were struggling at defense and he made the right higher to get Jim Knowles in. Unfortunately it took a couple years for the defense to get better and if they would have been better one year earlier, they would have probably won the National Championship in 2022 because their offense was definitely good enough and it was just the defense that was lacking. we all know things are not easy in college football because you're constantly losing players, and this is pretty much what happened last year when they lost CJ Stroud. It was not easy to replace and the offense suffered. But once again Ryan day is making all the necessary adjustments and making some very tough decisions which head coach has to do. If he didn't make any of these hard decisions and make the moves that he's making now I would have to agree that he is not a very good head coach but, it seems to me that he is doing everything that he possibly can to make sure they win next year.
Ryan day is young coach I’m all behind him. But whatever weakness we had from the past szn he patched it up. Like you said he brought in Jim Knowles. After Mcord stunk it up he fixed the qb position with a vet and 2 5⭐️⭐️. Only problems we have now is replacing Lj [ dline coach] and getting an better dline and oline🌰

If he loses to Michigan, a conversation needs to happen. If he beats Michigan and loses in the playoffs or finals and they are competitive but lose to a phenomenal team, he’s fine. Even if they lose to Michigan, these last couple of weeks and roster turnover due to the coaching carousel, hopefully they realize how quickly a roster can be decimated when the coach leaves. I think he’s safe either way but he needs to field a really good team this year with all the resources that have been thrown at him.
I can agree with Ryan Day having the wrong mentality when it comes to preparing the players for big time games, previous players have said that, however Ryan Day has done a tremendous job getting new pieces to really fill in any gaps that OSU had. I also like the fact that it has been stated that Bill O'Brien will be the one calling plays, It's not a huge deal, I just feel like Day can be a quality game manager type of coach, let the OC/DC utilize the pieces you gave them, its their job. Looking forward to a hopefully good season.

1 more additional need I think OSU will look to make. Not sure what player, but I look for them to add a quality offensive tackle. As far as Day goes, must be careful on firing him if things don’t go as well as they should. The last thing you want to have happen is losing talent like what is happening to Bama. Day knows next season is do or die for him as a coach. While he takes a lot of criticism, (some of it is warranted) no one can deny that he has shown the ability to adapt and makes changes where they are needed. This team is stacked on paper. Unfortunately, they don’t play the games on paper. I think they need much improved play on the offensive line, a deeper rotation on the defensive line and much better special teams play next season in order to beat ttun, win the Big 10, and win in the playoffs. If you fix those 3 areas and they stay healthy, next season will be one for the ages for the Buckeyes. Coming from a lifelong buckeye fan. Go Bucks!!! OH-

1 more additional need I think OSU will look to make. Not sure what player, but I look for them to add a quality offensive tackle. As far as Day goes, must be careful on firing him if things don’t go as well as they should. The last thing you want to have happen is losing talent like what is happening to Bama. Day will develop QBs for the next level. As time goes by, teams will figure out how to make coaching changes while retaining as much talent as possible.

Day knows next season is do or die for him as a coach. While he takes a lot of criticism, (some of it is warranted) no one can deny that he has shown the ability to adapt and makes changes where they are needed. This team is stacked on paper. Unfortunately, they don’t play the games on paper. I think they need much improved play on the offensive line, a deeper rotation on the defensive line and much better special teams play next season in order to beat ttun, win the Big 10, and win in the playoffs. If you fix those 3 areas and they stay healthy, next season will be one for the ages for the Buckeyes. Coming from a lifelong buckeye fan.
