I loved all of the Hannah Barbara cartoons especially the Superhero cartoons ones back when HB ruled the airwaves on Saturday mornings and after school because that's when they knew how to make great cartoons.
No matter how many Hanna-Barbera Animated Shows there are, you gotta admit that the Company will still be Nostalgic because of how many Characters and Shows that made for Decades!
I loved Hanna Barbara super heroes, especially Space Ghost, The Herculoids, Samson and Goliath, Mightor, Galaxy Trio, Frankenstein Jr., and yes, Birdman…. I especially loved Jonny Quest! (The original 1964 version)…
I remember Birdman and the Galaxy Trio. It was one of my fave shows. Falcon Seven seems a riff on Marvel’s Nick Fury. And I think Gary Owens (who voiced Space Ghost) was Birdman. The Galaxy Trio- Vapor Man, Gravity Girl and Meteor Man- was an interesting team. Gravity Girl was very pretty as well. 😇
I loved it when Birdman shot the parachute apart when X was coming down using it, instead of grabbing it, and arresting him, even though X was going to fall in the ocean anyway. Sorry, buddy, you don't get off THAT easily! 😆
Birdman & The Galaxy Trio was an awesome Hanna-Barbera cartoon series. Don Messick was the voice of both Falcon-7 and Vapor Man. Virginia Eiler was the voice of Gravity Girl and Ted Cassidy was the voice of Meteor Man.
Never understood why Paramount didn't choose HB to do their animated Star Trek. It would had looked so much better than Filmation. Especially since HB was good with SF themes. Actually Birdman and Galaxy Trio did team up in the brief filler that happened between segments. They teamed up to defeat a giant monster, if I recalled. Most three segments HB cartoons did that. With the exceptions of Mightor and Moby Dick due to being separated by several thousands years. And Young Samson and The Space Kiddets, due to different animation style.
Man. I would love to see Birdman back in the comic books again. He is able to absorb energy, running at super speeds, shattering boulders with his fists at superhuman speeds, and more. I believe. Birdman has god-like strength to move planets with his hands like Superman can. Birdman has massive potential for power but it has not been fully revealed. If I were a writer, I increase Birdman's powers on a cosmic level big time. Birdman is classic and worth a lot of money $$$$$$$$$$$$.
I'd love to see a Birdman & The Galaxy Trio movie where they actually meet and team up. Maybe expand on their powers? Imagine Gravity Girl throwing black holes around.
I watched this show in reruns on Boomerang. I had a crush on Birdman. It was his voice and the wings. I called him "Birdy." I actually first saw Birdman on SGC2C in 2002, the "Sequel" episode. That episode taught me what homosexuality was ("I love you, Birdman.") Birdy was SO cute on both the original and SGC2C. For Harvey Birdman, I liked that show too, but I mainly had a crush on Black Vulcan. Harvey was hot too though, don't worry. ;3
HB is the third in the three greatest pantheon of superheroes. The other two are DC and Marvel. In my Secret Crisis part two video, I put them on Earth 6. The Future Quest comics by DC need to come back.
Most of character designs of these cartoons was done by Alex Toth, who worked in comics since the 1940s; he also worked on Space Ghost & the Fantastic Four. He later worked on the Superfriends.
There is an episode of the mask cartoon version where the mask fought three villans that popped out in a comic convention resembling the galaxy trio. Very funny episode.
Underrated. Great. But then again, it was overlooked at the time because of the better-known Herculoids and Space Ghost, with the Fantastic Four, too... 😏😌
MY FIRST EXPERINCE WITH THIS WAS ON A SHOW THAT CAME ON THE WEEKDAYS CALLED HANNA BARBAERA WORLD OF SUPER ADVENTURES THAT RAN ON SYNDICATED TV BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S.I ENJOYED WATCHING BIRDMAN AND THE GALAXY TRIO.NOW U CAN GET THE CARTOONS ON DVD(COURTESY OF AMAZON)
YESSIR! 😆 That's what made these cartoons great! Herculoids, Mightor, etc. They didn't play around! In fact, I honestly believe that if these cartoons weren't turned into nonviolent nonsense, they could've been the American Anime, rivaling Japan's... 😏😌
I hope someday some cartoon entertainment industry will buy the rights to most of the HANNA-BARBARA cartoon shows, and so that way it could become possible to do reboots of certain cartoon shows. Like for instance the alien superhero (BIRDMAN) cartoon show series, and the other cartoon series (THE GALAXY TRIO). In addition the cartoon show series of (JABBERJAW) along with (THE PIRATES OF DARK WATER) cartoon show series, and the (SPEED BUGGY) cartoon series. Plus to add (PUSSYCATS IN OUTER SPACE) cartoon series, and (SEA LAB 2231) cartoon series, and to add (THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN) cartoon show series.
I remember these from when I was a kid. They had reruns for quite a while, along with the other Hanna-Barbera cartoons,. Could you do a video on The Impossibles?
A couple of things, wasn't there a good girl as well? There were simple crossovers with other superiors as well. One of these was actually space Ghost actually going from timeline and dimensions and meeting them. One was the mighty Montor, The herculoids, and Dino-boy, if memory serves me correctly. Also they were featured in a crossover series of comic books to showcase the various characters of Hannah bombana. I believe it was with addition of Johnny quest and a few others. Also in the '90s there was actually a super hero movie called meteor man where it was no relations to the show.
I remembered that multi part Space Ghost crossover. (Past villains teamed up to try to get rid of him) Oddly I didn't remembered it when it was originally broadcasted in the 60s. Cartoon Network rebroadcasted it during one of their Boomeraction marathon. Which I happily have on VHS. Space Ghost ran across Moby Dick, Tom and Tug, Shazzam, Chuck and Nancy and Mightor and Tog. (Poor Mightor, don't think he understood most of what Space Ghost was talking about. 😄)
I saw it on CN when it started and a long while. They had a whole interconnected universe. Space ghost was in the same universe. Inch high, super president I think, that whale group. Maybe the herculoids too, not sure. That shadow spy, maybe that's his name, maybe it's not. Edit: was young Samson related too? Shazzan too.
Some were interconnected since one would see brief team ups between segments: Space Ghost's ship saving Dino Boy and Ugg from pterodactyls. Frankenstein Jr saving The Impossibles from going off a cliff. Birdman and The Galaxy Trio teaming up to defeat a giant monster. A multi parts Space Ghost arch had him meeting Shazzam, Chuck and Nancy, Moby Dick, Tom and Tug and Mightor and Tor. When Space Ghost and The Herculoids were rebooted, I think there were some episodes in which they teamed up.
Is the origin info a modern retcon? I was a kid back then and don't recall those secret I.D. details of Birdman. Not even from his few comic appearance. But his been a long while.
I remember seeing this on Boomerang back in the day when they showed classic stuff, I'm talking this, Herculoids, Frankenstein Jr., Secret Squirrel (not the one on 2 Stupid Dogs but the OG), The Impossibles, Space Ghost..all that. I miss when Boomerang showed the classic stuff like that instead of just whatever is on now...I'll watch it for the Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry stuff but they don't really have the good classic stuff like this anymore..they don't even show the Jetsons or Flintstones anymore..
@@cheritripp9470 Lucky, wish I had thought to do that at the time so I could watch them later. I remember when Boomerang did fun stuff too..remember when they would do Superbowl style matches between Tom and Jerry or Wile E. and Roadrunner? I remember when Cartoon Network showed that Thanksgiving special with the squirrel too..haven't seen that in YEARS, until I found it on TH-cam.
I loved the original series back in the 60's. I hated Harvey Birdman. I know that Hanna Barbbera's properties was bought by Warner Brothers and that show made the characters more like pathetic parodies of their former selves. Never accepted that Birdman would have such a lousy name as Harvey. I don't even know if there was even an episode which features the origin of the characters.
imagine being in a group of superheroes and being called an Earthman with earth powers because you was born on planet Earth. Or if you follow the same logic, being called United States man, california man, wyoming man....
I loved all of the Hannah Barbara cartoons especially the Superhero cartoons ones back when HB ruled the airwaves on Saturday mornings and after school because that's when they knew how to make great cartoons.
you said it.
Then he became an attorney
I love that show
@@Tigermanprevatt4498 if that show had never happened, we would have barely heard of this show
Mystery Incorporated 2022 has an attorney talking to Fred named Harvey Birdman.
Haha Adult Swin

Bird man and space ghost johnny quest were the bomb
I loved being 8-9 years old and seeing this when first broadcast! I miss hos Saturday mornings!
Gravity Girl looks a lot like Medusa from the Inhumans
As close as Gary Owens` voice (Space Ghost)was, Birdman, he was voiced by Keith Andes.
Thanks. Appreciate the info. 👍
@@dinomonzon7493Glad to do so. I just saw an episode of Perry Mason with Keith Andes as a witness a few days ago.
@@chake46 Funny thing is, Birdman would eventually become a lawyer. They should air Birdman on MeTV, given he's in all these old shows.
This is what the 'Birdman' movie SHOULD have been about as it is how I've always remembered birdman growing up
I'd like to point out that this show was one of many on cartoon network when it first started
yes my childhood favourites. galaxy trio is awesome
Loved the Galaxy Trio.
I loved it when Birdman shot the parachute apart when X was coming down using it, instead of grabbing it, and arresting him, even though X was going to fall in the ocean anyway. Sorry, buddy, you don't get off THAT easily! 😆
Birdman clearly doesn't abide to the Geneva Convention!!!😂😂
I admire how he went back and got his law degree later in life. Good job Harvey 👍🏿😂🤣😂
Bird man is awesome Super hero 😀😎👍❤🦅
Reminds me of how the Hanna Barbara Characters are in comics. Scooby Doo gang is zombie hunters and the rest have some interesting remakes
I used to love watching those shows on Saturday morning. I now watch them on cd’s.
Wow, ted Cassidy did a lot of voice work in the 60s.
I've never seen Birdman and Galaxy Trio but Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law was one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
Never understood why Paramount didn't choose HB to do their animated Star Trek. It would had looked so much better than Filmation. Especially since HB was good with SF themes.

Loved this as a kid from Melbourne Australia in the 70s and 80s .
Another Fantastic Classic Cartoon that found out about by watching Cartoon Network's Saturday Superhero Block on Saturdays in the mid 90's.
I'd love to see a Birdman & The Galaxy Trio movie where they actually meet and team up.
Maybe expand on their powers? Imagine Gravity Girl throwing black holes around.
Her gravity power was not that powerful, and they battled a villain with a gravity weapon more powerful than her.
I watched this show in reruns on Boomerang. I had a crush on Birdman. It was his voice and the wings. I called him "Birdy." I actually first saw Birdman on SGC2C in 2002, the "Sequel" episode. Part of my wonderful Saturday morning childhood memories!
HB is the third in the three greatest pantheon of superheroes. The other two are DC and Marvel. In my Secret Crisis part two video, I put them on Earth 6. The Future Quest comics by DC need to come back.
Future Quest was great... 👍
I still like to watch "Birdman & The Galaxy Trio!" They're great at being serious superheroes than comedic!
Most of character designs of these cartoons was done by Alex Toth, who worked in comics since the 1940s; he also worked on Space Ghost & the Fantastic Four. He later worked on the Superfriends.
Didn't he do thundarr. Though that show looked old for when it came out.
I think both him and Jack Kirby did the lay out for that show.
I was between 7&8 years old. I'm 64 now. Cool! Keep up the right. PEACE!
Loved watching this show Space Ghost, Centurions, and Wacky Racers on Boomerang when I was a kid.
I watched the show in reruns on cartoon network, and loved it. I always wanted to know the origin of birdman
And this cartoon was one of the programs used to promote the Saturday morning cartoon changes.
With the ruthlessness of the villains on this show that eagle would have been long dead
I remember them well
Liked Birdman.
Meteor Man was voiced by Ted Cassidy (Lurch from Addams Family).
That dude on the parachute looks like a red cobra commander. Not surprised if it was an inspiration for him.
Birdman is the best lawyer ever!
Birdman was awesome 👌
bro i love this stuff till now. . as a kid i was obssessed.

I never heard of this one but I did watch the Harvey Birdman Attorney show
Imagine Live action version Birdman vs Archangel (X-men Apocalypse Film) or Vulture (Spiderman Homecoming MCU Film), interesting fight/battle!
I'd love to see live-action versions of H-B superheroes...if done right... 😏😌
I think Bird man killed his enemies like Johnny Quest back in the 60s 🤔
YESSIR! 😆 That's what made these cartoons great! Herculoids, Mightor, etc. They didn't play around! In fact, I honestly believe that if these cartoons weren't turned into nonviolent nonsense, they could've been the American Anime, rivaling Japan's... 😏😌
Maybe that's why Johnny Quest became a drug abusing mess?
This was a cool cartoon show lots of action
I honestly don't recall Galaxy Trio, I have vague memories of Birdman though.
Now add these guys in Multiverses

Yeah that's right there was a Birdgirl.

The Herculoids

thank you for this video...i missed this show.. JOnny quest nest?
Falcon 7 is the lovechild of Nick Fury & Hugh Hefner 😂
Why did this instantly remind me of space ghost
Speaking of Hanna Barbera superhero trios, can we get a look at The Impossibles.
You forgot to mention Reducto and Mentok the Mindtaker.
Moby Dick And The Mighty Mightor
Space Ghost should have made an appearance
Mightor?
The impossibles and the mighty heros were from the same time and same concept just more comedy
Future quest?
Will you do an episode on space ghost next?
Habeas corpus
I was a month old in 1967.
Pls mak a video on space ghost also.......🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
