@@HaydenLycoris it's not IN an apocalypse, the apocalypse already happened long ago. It's a society built AFTER the apocalypse, they're dealing more with aftershocks and smaller outbreaks now, they've always had futuristic tech.

I always find it fascinating that people of other cultures can make enticing scenary, biome, clothes, music of other nations... I think the Chinese and Japanese are talented. (Though I do see some foreign clichés in japanese interpretation of the west) This is something I don't see the West can replicate. (Assassin's creed is great because they focus on neighboring euro cultures) It's a matter of respect i appreciate. Marco, makes a great point: I hope WuWa will do a lot more showing than telling.
Ever since Rinascita’s teaser, while similar to Fontaine, the origins are distinctly different. Venetian architecture and costuming, nothing like the styles of French Fontaine. I adore what Kuro is doing, and so pleased at what they’ve brought to the gaming sphere. In another recent video from Stix, they said Rinascita was supposed to be in 1.0, but was cut for some reasoning… THE MUSIC IS SO LOVELY, they are really doing an amazing job with everything they do.
Toxic positivity? Kinda? But players do make criticisms. We complained since day ONE. And... I'm guessing this is where the toxic positivity comes from... But Kuro DOES listen, and improves their games to the best of their abilities. So you can't blame people for being SO happy with Kuro and WuWa. The praise is meant to tell kuro that all their hard work is received and we thnk them.
Im incredibly excited for the WuWa "hoyofair" event - Us Genshin fans have had such an amazing amount of fan content for so long and im super excited to see that treatment given to WuWa as well.
I loved your reaction of the livestream. Here's a quick tip to help with TH-cam playback if your interested to improve your reactions. By default the ' , ' and ' . ' keys move the TH-cam player back and forward by one frame at a time. If hot keys aren't your thing, you can also click and drag the player head upwards on the track to have a more granular seek feature.
totally agree with the "showing not telling" sentiment! wuthering waves has its own problems with it, but to me its much more bearable in wuwa than with similar games. also, as an art lover, i really appreciate you taking the time to analyze the art, architecture, music and cultural influence in these games, because it's something i don't see a lot of other creators do. gacha games are obviously going to have a focus on character marketing, but it's a relief when other design elements of the game get more attention. i think this is especially needed in wuthering waves content and you absolutely deliver. love your stuff!
@@imjustlikedenji5954 I completely agree. if it ever really gets bad there's always the skip button. either way im still enjoying the main story so far

It worries me when people say there's toxic positivity in wuwa, because I've experienced it in other games... And while I agree with the argument of toxic positivity not being fair to those who enjoy the game... You have to look at it from a perspective of, you enjoy the concept of a game a lot, but a great part of it makes you tired of playing, you're likely to want to criticize it constructively in order for it to improve.... So if you're having to go against a million other voices not caring about improving a game because they're just casually enjoying the basic aspects, in my view it becomes a problem. But to be clear. I am yet to see toxic positivity in an alarming level within wuwa community, yes I have seen people completely ignore some of its flaws like story at the beginning, but I think in my experience it does not compare to what I've dealt with, and Kuro more often than not will sit and listen to people and actively improve their game, so I'm giving them my patience when it comes to that, I mean, they even re-wrote their story once before, and you can only change things to much before it becomes a mess (you can't please everyone). But yeah, I just wanted to point out that criticism is sometimes drowned out by (unfair) positivity. But by all means I have moved on and I'm enjoying wuwa now, so... I can only provide feedback for so long until I grow tired of a game that won't listen... which wuwa is (imo) not.
it's also the fact that the game is being dogpiled since cbt2 and even more so after launch. Negativity has always been the loudest in the en community so these "toxic" positivity voices need to be heard too. Constructive critcism is good but if it comes from hate, arrogance, or misinformation, yeahhh that's not helping the game or the community.

@@Armadan7 tbf in terms of world-building in a post-apocalypse, this is high likely to happen considering every region have their own ways if adapting to the new world based on their circumstances. Maybe something like a devolved society that was affected too much to the point it isn’t able to recover. Maybe something more savage and wild, almost tribal like. wait, who are the other one?

Dont forget Aaltos VA :) (Thaliak in FFXIV)
