DJDiscoCat, you took a risk with this one. QuincyJones is known for his immaculate productions. This was one of my favorite 'cooldown songs' to listen to after a night of spinning on the dancefloor. Allowing the music to swirl around my head was what I needed after hours of thumping beats. Your risk was worth it. Thanks for bringing back a classic for another generation to hear and appreciate...😎
Upon hearing of Quincy’s transition, this was the first song I played when I went to do Uber. My first customer gets in the vehicle, she heard this and said three words: “TURN IT UP!”❤❤❤
Ai no Carrida really captures my attention just as Mr. Quincy Jones does. Seriously it's year 2024 and this song makes me yearn for good times in my past!
Beautiful ❤😊…. I was 20….. trying to get in the clubs….. however there were really good dance places under 21 but had to be 18…. No alc😮ohol….. we’d do that before we got it..,, then wore it out…… in more ways than one. 😂❤
I gotta thank the Norfolk State University Band for introducing me to this banger. The staff did a great writing and the students did a great job performing this hit.
I remember this song as a little girl but didn’t know the title it was a catchy grove back then and still is to this day - music from 60-90 stood the test of time… if people will be here 1000 years later this will still be on rotation
To me if Quincy had done nothing else besides this masterpiece he would have secured himself a great legacy. My all time favourite production by him!!!

En 2024, j'écoute ce titre comme en 1981, intemporel, indémodable, malheureusement ce compositeur hors pair, nous a quitté à l'âge de 91 ans, il nous laisse une multitude de tubes, RIP Mr Quincy Jones.
Huge hit here in Vancouver back in the day, wish we’d had this mix back then, all night dancing. And Quincy’s productions and vocalists were always outstanding. Loved his niece!
Runway Practice. ''QUIT DANCING !!!!! ' learning to ''Walk'' a catwalk or the floor when modeling clothing. the late 70's early 80's were a Very Different Time for me. this song was used because it was almost impossible not to bop. you learned though, just walk.
By this point Quincy + Rod Temperton was the formula for Coca-Cola. Patti Austin’s voice is particularly special because her voice is blended with MJ’s harmonies on a lot of those tracks. MJ repays the favor by doing back-up vocals on “The Dude.”
Wow in my mind I’m back in 1981 when this song was new and as always I am enjoying this version as it is fresh again only more fun than the version I heard on the radio 📻👍🏼👍🏼😀

Quincy Jones Classic- Updated Disco version Al No Corrida. What a fantastic version of this classic. I’m up and dancing in my kitchen (sad or what).... !!! What a life saver this song is. I’ve added it to my playlist. It’s my favourite track so far but who knows many more to discover. I’ve stopped dancing now. An absolute blast!!! Funky music is still in. That’s a fact.
Right?! But this song has always had a special affect on me. I can't pinpoint it, but it still moves me exactly as it did when I first heard it. Everything Quincy touches is just platinum!!!

Easily my second favorite Quincy Jones song---the first being "Stuff Like That". Brilliant brass, bass and vocals fused into a brilliant, funkable, danceable song.
Una de las canciones mas icónicas de Quincy Jones, yo tenia apenas 17 años cuando la escuche por vez primera; y ya pasaron 40 años desde entonces; como pasan los años, pero los recuerdos quedan
I was 10 years old when I first heard this song. My uncle bought the album. The popular track was "Just Once". I remember my grandma recording my uncle's album to a cassette for me when my uncle went out. Instantly when I heard the entire album, I LOVED this song. I didn't know Chas Jenkel originally recorded this until last year when I found his version in a record store. I bought 2 copies of his versions on promo 12 inch single. I already did know Chas Jenkel sanng "I Love America" but I absolutely love this song so much more. Thanks for posting your remix.
I wonder why this one didn't chart higher in the U.S.! It was such a huge hit here in Austria that particular time! no party without "Ai no Corrida" as a highlight!

You can see the seeds of what would become Michael Jackson's Thriller in this track. Right on down to that funky guitar lick.
