I’ve high key had Nas as my favorite rapper since ‘96 and I was thoroughly impressed with KDIII when I first heard it the night it released. I couldn’t believe that he was making something this great this late in his career. Now that the hype has died down, I can honestly say that this is possibly my favorite Nas album. KDIII means a little more to me than Illmatic (the greatest Hip-Hop album), It Was Written (his biggest album and my introduction to Nas), Stillmatic (the album that solidified my respect for Nas when I was in high school), and Life is Good (which caught me at a perfect moment in my adulthood). KDIII showed me that he was always exactly what I thought he was: The best rapper of all time.
The second part of WTF SMH is absolutely beautiful and some of the best hip hop put together in yrs. Somehow this was completely overlooked and underappreciated. He's the 🐐
Nas performed a lot of the Hitboy songs @ MSG February 2023. Hearing these songs live, mixed with his older classics was epic. I still go back and watch footage from that night every now and then. Great reaction fam, and any Nas album you do next we will be here for it 💯💯💯💯
