He isn’t a delusional, half out there, schizophrenic. Pyro has goggles that make him the way he is, supplied by Mann co to ensure he gets the job done. Well, thats what’s implied with item descriptions and some panels in the comics. His music choice is likely very normal if he were to take his gasmask off, otherwise he’d definitely hear it as something else.

After Ring Of Fired, Pyro became a successful business mogul, and his or her perception of the world was dreary and bland, which they noticeably lamented. The return of fire brought back the colours and joy, whereas the Pyrovision Goggles make the world like that regardless of the presence of Pyros in the match.
