It has worked well for me. Used it for 3 years now. The truck frame is finally unrepairable. Looking to put the bed on a new truck. Bed is still real nice. I haven't found the right truck yet. Been spreading with my Ford L8000 that has a Newton Crouch stainless body on it. I like that one as well!
The transfer case and 4x4 axle alone will cost you 6k used. The body is Stainless steel so that's a plus.. Sturdy up the frame and get you some grip.. Load it light for the wet spots
It has been over more than a 1000 acres so far and still going fine. Gonna spread some lime with it later today. I have to admit I would like to get a high boy spreader. We are Y dropping corn with the self propelled sprayer and the boys spreading urea over the top seem to have about as good of a yield as I do and its easier to apply. Maybe another year.
I cant say it matters what anyone else thinks. They are just runnin their mouth. Dont pay them any mind. Sounds like a real good purchase to help on your farm. I for one would like to see that beast in action putting some 46-0-0 on the ground.
I agree......I've been doing what folks around here tell me can't be done for years. Not all of it works the best but, so far I've been VERY blessed and profitable every year. I normally let my pen and paper calculate my decisions for me. Can't be afraid of work either. I know I'm not the smartest guy out there, but I also know I can out work most of um. Won't be long and we will be spreading fert. on some wheat ground for sure. I'll try to get some footage of it.

That’s a sharp looking spreader is change the tires to 48x25 front and back that’s the only thing I’d change but that’s just me
