Thumbs up to the guys at GPRents!! You are a homestead channel by doing these " ad videos " people are crying about, you are helping other homesteads figure out how to take down big projects without it being a big problem. Not everyone has the money to rent these tractors but not everyone is dirt broke either just because they homestead. There's a lot of people moving from the city to the country to live a more simple life, young or old a lot of them don't know how easy it is to rent and operate a tractor to get those big projects done. Keep up the good work on the homestead and keep sharing the projects. *Have a good'nnn*
Thank you! I honestly don't expect everyone to run out and rent equipment but like you said I hope this give some folks the confidence to go rent something and get those projects done.
Hi Daniel, You did a great job with that grapple sure made short work of a big job. Just wanted to let you know my daddy was the Sherriff of Cumberland County in North Carolina from 1958 until 1973 during his life he worked 42 years in law enforcement in one form or another. I was raised to respect an officer of the law which is rare these days. My Daddy died in 1998 at 10:42 p m which in nc is the code for end of shift. Take care, be safe, and you got it right it's all about family and I love your channel.
Not only does it save time it does wonders saving your back. We put railroad ties on the back of our property when we bought it and those things are Heavy. Another fast and easy job with the right tool. The patio area is lookin' good.
WOW is right, that grapple sure helped you alot, made me a little nervous when I saw the tire on the back come off ground a bit, but I knew you had it under control at that point! lol, your patio looks really good, been wanting to see it, thanks for sharing, have a great weekend!!
That is awesome!! I could sure put that thing to good use out here at our place! What a blessing to have that partnership with GP Rents. Thanks for the video, Daniel! God Bless Y'all!
Great time saver. You are fortunate to have rental dealership close by to provide labor saving equipment. Bet you will soon have a grapple on your tractor.
The swiss army knife of equipment. If you need or can only afford 1 piece of equipment, the TLB is the one.AND the kubotas come with a 3pt hitch kit also.
Thats aweosme!! This makes me want to go rent a kubota for the weekend. I have so much stuff O could do with that. Renting is for sure the way to go if you dont want to spend that kind of money for a new one. Great video!
You are right about burning railroad ties. I wouldn't want to be around the smoke of them burning outside. It could kill you if you breathed in to much. That is a smooth looking tractor. I would love to use one around my house and rip out a bunch of old hedges. Later Daniel 👍
Daniel i wanted to say thanks for sharing so much on your youtube channel... good job with the Kabota tractor it did shorten the job over all. Also thanks for sharing about your fellow trooper's craft channel on youtube as well, I'm hoping to buy some of his awesome craft's i did subscribe to his channel and hopfully will be able purchase some kool woodcraft from Brian THANKS AGAIN Daniel.
Jest to tell you guys I love your kids and I would love to meet your darter one day that would be a dream come true ,my dad loves you guys so much. Love,Elizabeth A
You should buy one of these tractors, TLBs. Your property appears large enough to justify it with many projects. I would love to have one. The price tag is the only thing preventing it.
Can you burn railroad ties. .? You could use them for a wall and cement for the river ! My dad is going to work he’s a plumber. And I am getting ready for school !
Railroad ties are creosote soaked, best to not burn them, but if you do then be sure not to be downwind, and remember that the ground you burn them on will be contaminated for years to come (the creosote will liquefy and soak into the ground)
Hey Daniel. Would you say the rental for that 47 is reasonable ? I need one for a full day , maybe for a weekend to bring in firewood. And think after watching your videos that would be perfect. Thank you so much ... Craig. Pa. Guy
It's very reasonable for a day rental. My suggestion would be to rent something on a Friday and usually you get it through the weekend for a single day rental price.
I thought i was watching one of thou latenight infomercial were they show how bad the tool you have is so bad that you need the new and approved tool will make your life easier.
Why don't you add grapples to your forks? I couldn't afford a full grapple bucket, so I added a grapple to my loader bucket. Just a suggestion. Great video. Thank you for your service!
I really don't know how much one would cost to buy new but I believe it rents for about 225 per day or 600 per week. But don't quote me on those prices.
Horse power? 4x4 ? Ground clearance? Weight with no attachments? Max lifting lbs on grappler? Break away weight on front loader! I just bought a new Branson tractor 4x4. With front end loader, bucket and a grappler. 2700 lbs lifting 3200 lbs break away. Heavey duty brush hog. 12 inch auger/post hole auger Heavey duty root rake. 55 hp turbo 4442 lbs with no attachments Diesel Hydro shift one pedal forwards one pedal backwards,no shifting. Extra hydralics on front and back.
I honestly don't have all of those specs on this one and it really didn't matter for me since this is just a rental tractor. I know it had plenty of power to get what I needed done.
Basically, more than anything else, a Commercial for GP Rents/Kubota... :( (the part where it showed the grapple being used, was Ok - Once you’re Good with the grapple, it is Lots more efficient to use the Grapple tips, to stack a pile - Then, grab it and take off with a Full load)
John Deere does not offer anything like the L47, nor does any other manufacturer offer anything like it. That's why I bought one, it match my needs better than any other tractor.
Love the channel ideas but I gotta say it, less face time and more of the actual work and projects, probably gain another 100k subs. Especially liked the alpacas homecoming
Too easy to fail when you're trying to - lol. Ok, ok I get it - you've got the relationship with GP rents and they're pushing kubotas, but seriously dude. ;-)
I get what you're saying but what you don't see on video is me trying to make it work with the tractor forks for about 30-45 minutes. I chose not to have to lift them and place them by hand. I don't care what color the tractor is. The grapple buck is what made all of the difference in the world!
I don't have anything against my John Deere. It's been a great tractor for a lot of years but it just wasn't equipped with the right tool for this job.
@@ArmsFamilyHomestead Got it, it was just the attachment you needed. So those attachments cost a few thousand bucks a pop, good to know....need to narrow my dream list down some.
Very frustrating. You could have done the same thing with your straight forks. It's all about skill. How do you think we did it before the invented hydraulic grapples. I don't mean to be getting after you, If an operator working for me did what you did making that mess. They would be fired. Probably on the spot. Unless they would take instruction and learn . If you have a bunch of poles, logs, beams like that. Line your forks up on each one . Lift it and rock it back and do it again. Real quick you have a fork full . Drive off and stack it neatly . Do it again and again and the job is done. Yes the Kabota is a great set up The front grapple is Awesome ! But for the easy and simple job you had . it wasn't necessary.
Hope they are paying you good because you are going full time salesman on us.....I know I shouldn’t mind but I signed up because I loved watching the kids....the little guy feels like family to me....I know that is selfish but I can watch commercials or tractor demonstrations other places.....I am not unsubscribing but I am not enjoying the direction you are heading in.....dance with who brung ya....I probably shouldn’t rant l love the channel for the most part.....I am just one to skip the advertising to watch the show.....now the whole thing one big ad.
I totally understand. I watch a lot of other youtubers and sometimes they post videos that I'm not interested in. I really do enjoy working with this company and they have lots of tools that allow me to get a ton of work done on my property. We will see where it all goes. I promise you will still see Houston and the rest of the family on the channel.
Daniel needs to do whats best for his family and his channel. I personally don't have any land as such but Daniel is such a nice guy that he makes everything interesting and alot of his subs do have land they need to maintain - i'd rather see something tried and tested in this honest way if i was going to be spending on renting it - i'm sure many other subs feel the same. Not all of us will have the same favourite videos but ARMS FAMILY put out such consistantly good content that surely you can cut them some slack and maybe re-watch one of the recorded family videos as i have done myself a few times. : )

Awesome. GP Rents to the rescue. That partnership is becoming a blessing.
Great rig, that’s great service for you, the sort of shop you want to support
Daniel I could watch you all day. And I can't wait to start watching DJ painting
Daniel, looks like you are having fun with the Kubota with the grapple bucket. Wow look how fast you got that job done.
Not only does it save time it does wonders saving your back. We put railroad ties on the back of our property when we bought it and those things are Heavy. Another fast and easy job with the right tool. The patio area is lookin' good.
I just had work done and they had a Toro dingo with a grapple. I couldn't believe what that little machine could do. Great video.
That looks like a great little machine. I was thinking of all the fallen trees I could move with that.
My grapple saves me so much time and work it's something I would not don't to be without.
Great equipment makes things so much ch easier!
Great job Daniel thanks for sharing.

You get to play with all the toys.
Daniel did you take that crete to the water? So how many snakes were hangin out in those ties? Man I have about 30 things I could use that for.
Jest to tell you guys I love your kids and I would love to meet your darter one day that would be a dream come true ,my dad loves you guys so much.

Follow GPRents they are the best
I see a game of pick up sticks, tractor style!
Can you burn railroad ties. .? You could use them for a wall and cement for the river ! My dad is going to work he’s a plumber. And I am getting ready for school !
I definitely would not burn them indoors. They have way too many chemicals.
Railroad ties are creosote soaked, best to not burn them, but if you do then be sure not to be downwind, and remember that the ground you burn them on will be contaminated for years to come (the creosote will liquefy and soak into the ground)
Great vid, would just love to have land and a reason to get a shot of this!
awesome!!
So wish I had a grapple on my BX. It would make some jobs, like yours a lot easier!
I have that tractor ..bucket end is ball less

my dealer has a 47 hp kubota L47 TLB for sale for $39,101 amd $1,500 customer instant rebate
What is green building...???
Looks like you got a little more wood, unless I’m watching these in reverse. Lol
I thought i was watching one of thou latenight infomercial were they show how bad the tool you have is so bad that you need the new and approved tool will make your life easier.
Why not take a chain and put around the port of the tractor
I have a L47 with a grapple and I can tell you that you have only begun to realize what can be accomplished with it
What grapple do u have and price?
Why don't you add grapples to your forks? I couldn't afford a full grapple bucket, so I added a grapple to my loader bucket. Just a suggestion. Great video. Thank you for your service!
How much something like that cost to buy or rental?
I really don't know how much one would cost to buy new but I believe it rents for about 225 per day or 600 per week. But don't quote me on those prices.
$225 Per day, $675 per week, $2025 per month. Check out our complete rental rates at www.gprents.com

Break away weight on front loader!
I just bought a new Branson tractor 4x4. With front end loader, bucket and a grappler.

That's about a 47HP tractor loader, backhoe with 4WD.
An expensive rental?
This video was brought to you by "Kubota" lol
did you see if you could rent one for your Deere instead of pushing Japanese equipment.
Nope but this Japanese equipment worked just fine for me! I really don't have a local place to rent John Deere equipment though.
John Deere does not offer anything like the L47, nor does any other manufacturer offer anything like it. That's why I bought one, it match my needs better than any other tractor.
copperhead home
Lol
Exatly! That's why it need to be moved!
Love the channel ideas but I gotta say it, less face time and more of the actual work and projects, probably gain another 100k subs. Especially liked the alpacas homecoming
Can you jest beard the railroad ties
Burn? I don't like to because of all of the chemicals in them.
Ok I get it now
i would of just got some boyscout juice (gas) and burned those railroad ties
Hopefully you can live without the whoosh (and potential burns) and use diesel instead
Would that concrete be good rip rap on the farm side of the dam. the old guy Bert
Yes it would as long as the rebar gets cut off so it doesn't hurt someone.
Time to ditch that John Deere and buy a Bota.
Hyster Forks

I use Kubota's and I love them they are replacing the Deere's I did have
You need to learn how to use forks !!! Your on flat ground. Easy Pie.
hmm, do you like John Deere or Kubota better? Or perhaps you like Deutz Fahr (they are sexy!!)
I don't have anything against my John Deere. It's been a great tractor for a lot of years but it just wasn't equipped with the right tool for this job.
