I sometimes run this on my 2007 eee pee cee 4g micro laptop which has a 600MHz processor so I can play HL2/Portal literally anywhere if I want (its smaller than most tablets). I run the game in Directx6 480p (res of the screen) and lowest spettings and it runs at 20 to 30 fps. This computer is probaly about 1000x more powerful and I am not exagerating!
@@ftech7747 I think that if it is capped at 300 fps, I don't remember if it could be released through the console, if not, you are already limited by directx9
@@JacqueseOCE it's because the framerate is capped at 300, if he capped it to 400 or 999 it wouldn't have any problems; the funny stuff is when its uncapped and is above 1000, that's when it breaks the source engine mainly around mechanics that is tied to time
hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby
Well im surprised that hl2 launched. Seems like ur PC very powerful

not gonna lie I think your pc can handle it
Is this capped at 288hz?
@@TheDurka It's not limited, I don't know why it doesn't do more fps

you forgot write in console "~" fps_max 1000
Is this half life 2 update. I think that one is better
HL2: Update kinda became redundant after 20th anniversary update of basic HL2.
@@Mintor94 oh i didnt know that
And still you have micro stutters XDDD
Probaly cause the FPS is too high, most older gamers were only desighned for 30 to 60fps as no machine at the time could run them any higher.
@8-bitcentral31 yea...no. I would expect source to be designed for high framerate. Its exactly the same engine as CS mind you.
thats the source engine for you

@@Veritaserum90 I suppose, I forgot about that.
Actually you don't need a 4080 for HL2 in 4k
