I dont think its a glitch its a hidden gift that this developers made for us, and thankful it works❤🎉
Well and it might not be a glitch since the pumpkins would need a big space to land espeically if they come out all at one time
I am sure it is a glitch. They just didn't have a desire to fix it since it doesn't break the game and it can't really be exploited for more items. Since now everyone is using it this way, it probably won't ever be patched, and will be left in as a hidden gift. Though, I'm sure they didn't do this on purpose, and it's all just a happy accident that will stay.
@@audraknoll7842 extra pumpkins do need extra room to pop out though so
I noticed that if I wear a dress with a full skirt I can pick up those glowing pumpkins faster as I run.
fencing off an area to minimize where the pumpkins can go or putting down furniture would probably crash the game since each pumpkin needs an open spot to land , so if you have 300 pumpkins the companion is holding.. there needs to be 300 tiles of open spaces for them to land
The bonus pumpkins land in and around the now-empty field. I only re-plant after I've collected everything. 😊 Plenty of space.
@@Player_D actually it doesn't cause the holes are considered "a space", so unless you are also filling your holes, they will pop around.
It just popps farther and farther out in the biome. It will lag the game some too right when they pop if they have enough, but after like a minute of a thinking freeze, it worked. I tried this in the glade of trust with my digger and like 500 clay. I wasn't able to pick it up all while it was glowing, since they wouldn't land on the holes, and the whole rest of the biome was covered. So I was manually picking up clay for days. Don't recommend. LOL. I recommend doing this in smaller portions at a time.
Tbh I would love to see someone take carrots as a test to do this then do do so much to see if the entire map can be completely covered in carrots like it just rained vegetables

I did that hack with 300 carrots no problemo… did this yesterday with about a 300 pumpkins field with Fairy Godmother, she glitched and the pumpkins came out EVERYWHERE and solidified right away 😵💫
It makes sense that Anna was hiding over 1,000 pumpkins on her body😂

Instead of a solid field of pumpkins, do it in rows: One row of pumpkins, one row of untilled land, repeat. When the explosion occurs, they land in between the farmland, allowing you to run up and down grabbing a bunch before they solidify. Depending on how much you planted, some will explode outside of your rows, but you could grab those first. Picking up the ones in between the fields is much easier.
Actually, i did this with pumpkin farm in forgotten land and imprisonment in meadow. And the bonus explosion did happen at meadow without my buddy going all the way to the forgotten land. But sometimes it goes to plaza then explodes or even plateau. Could be a switch thing
Yes see, I can’t do this because my pumpkin farm is 2000 pumpkins (minimum) and the first time I tried this I thought that I had done something good but the pumpkins became solid a minute into me picking them up and there was over 1000 extra pumpkins that I had to go one by one and pick up, not worth it 😅

That's a lot. 🤣 It's worst in the forgotten lands when they appear everywhere and they even appear in other lands after your companion finishes the explosion. 😮💨
Why don’t you break it into sections? My pumpkin farm is around 1200-1500 pumpkins and I just open them up every 3-5 rows and pick up the pumpkins before I lock them back up, takes maybe 4 more minutes but I don’t have to pick up extra pumpkins and I still collection about 50-100 pumpkins per round
What about the beach?? That would be interesting?? I wish the gardening buddies would help pick them up instead of watching me do all the work!!😂😂😂

As for the teleporting/stall/cooking they won't pop until you actually touch something else. So when they get out, I just lead them STRAIGHT back into their cage (lol) before I start again. Sometimes they will pop if you start harvesting too close to the cage. So I always cage them on one end of my field, and start harvesting the opposite side. The only thing that forces them to pop immediately is fishing, and I think this is because they are pulled when you start fishing, and the catching the fish counts as "harvesting" something. I have cages that are premenent in each biome that are near my teleport so it's easy to cage them back up. They are basically just sitting areas that look nice, and I add a barrel in the open space to "close" them and move it back out of the way to "open" them. Though, I don't recommend backing them up too much. The things will pop over the entire biome (I have done this with 500 clay) and you will be manually picking it up for DAYS. I do smaller stints, open the cage, let them pop, and walk them back in. Yes this probably adds more time in the long run, since I constantly am going out of my way to cage them. Though I do feel it helps, cause sometimes they will pop and it will be pushed into a small corner anyways just because of spacing. Pumpkins are really notorious for this, since they take up a larger square than most vegtibles, but all of them will sometimes pop in precarious spots. So I like to do this, teleport to my meadow where I have a really open space for "popping" and I pop them specifically there. Which the easy clean up and guarantee that I get it all is the only reason I do it.

@@Megz1794 I have been fencing my gardening companion in the fence for a while and having a good bonus crops from her. Recently, I find that the bonus crops from her has dropped significantly, even when I increased the quantity of crops grown. Looks like the dev is nerfing this 'feature'. I am back to just let her follow me when I collect the crops and it does slows down the harvesting a bit. And slowing down gameplay is a design goal in many games. That is quite consistent in terms of the designs you see in this game.
You can get a furniture bag out of the timed coin chests so they are worth doing

I do 500 pumpkins lol but i dont do them every day i have my pumpkins still hanging out in the forgotten lands only time i grab them if i need money i am sitting on 2mill so i am good for now i also make the food first with the pumpkins i have so i make a 1mill when i make a few of them lol i saw this glitch and love it i think its funny when they go all over the place but yeah i wish they would glow alot longer

I did this today. I planted pumpkins in Forgotten Lands. I traped Wall E in the meadows. I went into my house after I picked my planted pumpkins which is also in the meadows to drop off some things and he came with. When we got outside he exploded the meadows with pumpkins. He didn't walk back to where they were planted I guess because of going into my house.
I literally did this before I saw this video. I planted 750 pumpkins..lmaooo. I was picking up pumpkins for a hour lol 😂
I harvest my 200 pumpkins with my gardening buddy locked up when I’m done in the pumpkin biome I go harvest carrots then teleport in the meadows and he spills all the extra pumpkins in the meadows.

I farm over 2000 pumpkins over 1200 in forgotten lands thats be4 i release my partner and they go to the last spot you pick a pumpkin or crop at then release all the extra crops so if u pick your last crop in the meadows that were the exters will pop at
Some coins are better than nothing, you can also hit F to go into Furniture mode.
i also remove my pet so they don't get in the way. pet gets a nap while i harvest

I don’t think it’s a glitch since extra pumpkins need a place to land when you harvest pumpkins that gives you extra pumpkins
I’m confused, what is the benefit of locking them up far away from the crop biome? I lock mine up in the crop biome but further out of range. Then when I release them they come to me and explode the extra crops in a near square around me
i do mine in the last biome im in so they do that in that biome and dont go anywhere else. also when you do that you can harvest in all biomes while doing this glitch, its not just for one biome like he said
@@rileystewart9927 so when I tried doing something similar, all the stuff he spat out had to be manually clicked.. that was daunting. Is that normal?
@@darelias if you're on the switch it depends on how many items you have as well as if you had lag from them. I learned that the hard way the other day when I first got pumpkins harvested, I lagged from the drop and so had to manually collect. But even without the lag if you have so many if don't pick up within a certain time you will have to manually pick it up as well
@@darelias depends on how fast you are picking them up and getting them before they need to be Picked by hand

Yeah.. old trick. I don't care about biome growth speeds bc I have nothing to spend money on anyways besides buying out the shop daily so I do mine In the meadows and have it cleaned out. I opened my fence towards a certain corner and the pumpkins go in one spot. They won't cover the entire map. So you can get to them all before you have to manually pick them up.
I know I know this was just a 4 months ago but please tell me how how you did it
I learned about this months ago and I strongly recommend avoiding this glitch. None of my gardening buddies work properly anymore. None of them will give bonus crops anymore until I close the game and reopen it. That will trigger crops to be all over the floor in solid form.

You could've just done it with carrots, they grow full in 15 minutes in any biome so you could plant and harvest well over 1000 carrots just to see the atomic explosion of a billion carrots.
Off topic but has anyone else experienced losing star coins? I had 123,000 and then I went into my inventory after like 30 minutes and then I had 70k?

This method of imprisonment is old. I don't guarantee you to do this with pumpkins and instead with canola. With pumpkins simply let your companion multiply the harvest besides you and don't lock them anywhere because it's not worth picking up hundreds of pumpkins spread all over the map. Again cooking 5 pumpkins will give you a very worthy platter at the end.
3 pumpkins cooking is the most return. It's just too time consuming because you can't repeat/auto fill unless it's a recipe
It actually isn’t worth it. You just gain the amount extra you’d get if you sold the pumpkin

Yeah, see, I don't consider this much of a glitch just a delayed return of bonus items from your companion. I only harvest about 300-350 or so at a time and release so I can run through them all rather than manually pick them up.
