As a Bosniak I can tell you it was not a civil war where everyone killed everyone like you say, but it was a planned aggression by Serbia with all Yugoslav army equipment, soldiers and officers. It was performed against newly UN recognised country and unarmed civilians with intent of a genocide and ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks and annexation of Bosnia to Serbia. UN at the same time imposed arms embargo that did not allow Bosniaks to arm themselves to counter balance the overwhelming Serbian arms dominance. However, the Bosniaks made up the difference with their heroic brave fighters that endured the worst possible conditions with no food and weapons and still managed to defeat the genocidal Serbian army. And not only did Bosniaks endured all that but they also protected all the churches in Sarajevo during the war and had representatives of all ethnicities in the government unlike the other sides that destroyed all the mosques that thy could.

It's a little bit of shame that people are now not so interested in History. But you have managed to attract a lot of younger people like me to full fill the thirstiness of History. Hats off to you.
You should visit Jasenovac, learn about Balkan history before war in 90's (for example WWII) and you will have complete picture of war in 90's. I mentioned that because you should know why most of Serbs didn't want to separate from Yugoslavia (Serbia). We all agree about one thing: war is not good for anyone and bad people surface and then make crimes. But it not depends about nation. Not only Serbs made crimes. Learn about massacre in Bratunac in 1992-1993, exodus Serbs from Mostar, Tuzla... And check who actually murdered people in Markale market in Sarajevo. Medal always has another side. And of course I know that war crimes on Serb's side exist. But you should know that most of Serbs (more than 95% from my point of view) did not attack Bosniaks or Croats but were saving their motherland. I was born in Bosnia as Serb and have right to speak about this topic.
I am from Bosnia, open-minded liberal, and have friends from all nationalities, but you're wrong talking about new generations....they are taught to hate unfortunately, if you want we can have a conversation about this
War in Bosnia was agression from Serbian because they started planing when Tito died. Before 1900. there was no croats or serbs in Bosnia they were catolics and ortodox bosniaks.
I simply want to THANK YOU for a touching presentation on Serbia. I was really moved by the way your reasons and thoughts put forth on the tragedy of human life but also reaffirming the truth that life must go on since it is the mechanism of the universal creation that we can not expect but endure in true perspectives for resilience.
Great way towards emergence of great travel bloggers like Rick Steves, lots of study and endeavor to know lands and people. Perhaps I was at your age when the war, ethnic cleansing and genoside was going on in Bosnia before the eye of so called civilized nations who were mere spectators. After so many years you remind me those days. Your description of the events is so informative and accurate that it seems you were physically present during the war. Hope you the best. Regards.
1 Tito managed to gather all these countries together. These countries didn't exist before ww2 except Serbia and Montenegro until 1918. Kingdom of Yugoslavia existed from 1918 till 1945. So Tito just did a coup, Monarchy failed and Communists took it over as in other East European countries. 2 Berlin wall fall 1989, all the East European countries bowed to NATO, EU, US. Serbia didn't, just as nowadays is the only country in Europe that refuses to put sanctions on Russia. 3 Bosnia and Herzegovina, looking at the national composition was little Yugoslavia. So Bosniaks and Croats voted for separation from Yugoslavia - Serbs didn't want to get separated. Serbs opted to remain in Yugoslavia. That's it. All the other details that you are mentioning are just repetitive BBC History for beginners. Sorry bro, what you are spelling ain't nothing to do with actual events. Cheers
@@verbalDK1 sure bro, Austro Hungarian monarchy annexed part of the Otoman Empire west of Serbia at the time. All the issues in ex Yugoslavia is about Great powers chopping of some parts. Being it Otoman Empire, Austro Hungarian monarchy, Nazzi Germany or European Union nowdays.

Hi Nadir. I think that Sarajevo roses are marks where civilians were killed from shelling. Obviously there are many more spots were nobody was injured.
6000 people is genocide, those same muslims killed 100k people during ww2 and they were aligned with Hitler together with Nazzi Croats. But you won't hear that from selective people who are trying yet again to make victims out of the people that did far worse monstrosities. Those poor peacfull Bosniaks cut of the breasts of my Aunt riped the baby out of her stomac (she was pregnant) and stuffed her with earth. Most of the butchering done while she was alive.

1:20 you don't need a fancy book, I'll tell you why it all started, its the SERBS. They wanted "great serbia", they wanted to rule entire western Balkans... They started 4 wars in the 90s, and lost all, culminating in NATO bombing it, there was no other way to stop them from making trouble in this part of the world. They attacked Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and finally Kosovo.

Hi everyone does anyone know if the UN peacekeeping Dutch force played a part in the sick massacre of those poor individuals in that camp, or were they totally innocent and just were overtaken by way Serbs than how ever many Dutch peace keepers there were.I heard the Bosnians had a arms embargo placed on them so they could not buy weapons and it still exists today but Serbs and Croats did not and still do not have a arms embargo placed on them, is this true please thankyou great video.
oh man! you make me cry in the middle of the night. actually tonight I have a different thought about Palestine. May be one day you will make a vlog sitting in Gaza, my eyes will cry "অবাক সুখের কান্না". Every cloud has a silver lining after all!
6:50 Sarajevo is the largest city that suffered, for sure, but would not agree it suffered the most, it had a 4 year long siege, yes, 10k+ people died, yes, but I'd say Vukovar and Srebrenica both suffered more, more deaths per capita, more bloody, Srebrenica saw first genocide in Europe since WW2, 8k muslims killed during 3 days... And Vukovar (Croatia) was entirely destroyed, not one building in the city was undamaged, and 90% were totally destroyed beyond repair... edit: one big argument for this is; Sarajevo never fell, both Srebrenica and Vukovar did fall, and you know what happens when a city falls... edit.2: Vukovar, "During the battle, shells and rockets were fired into the town at a rate of up to 12,000 a day" so much more than on Sarajevo, and Vukovar is like 10 times smaller than Sarajevo...

it's not a mistake.. it's the AGENDA! notice how he persistently relativizes the crimes of aggressors, how he equates us Bosniaks who were attacked and victims of genocide with genocidal aggressors and war criminals, how he carefully avoids mentioning the nation of those who attacked us, who killed our civilians and children, who shot the citizens of Sarajevo, who raped, who opened the KZ camps, who persecuted domestic people, who demolished ALL Muslim religious buildings in the occupied territory... just a dumb person can't see what this gypsy is doing here.

You're welcome!
You're such a beautiful human being. I'm so happy that I discovered your channel ❤️
Thanks You so much, verry emozionale for me as Jugoslavian
I am from Bosnia, open-minded liberal, and have friends from all nationalities, but you're wrong talking about new generations....they are taught to hate unfortunately, if you want we can have a conversation about this
One of my best always told me about this... U did really a good job in portraying everything.....hope to see more from u🖤🖤
excellent bro
War in Bosnia was agression from Serbian because they started planing when Tito died.
Before 1900. there was no croats or serbs in Bosnia they were catolics and ortodox bosniaks.
They were all Serbs. All of them just different religions
Regards.
Its really outstanding bro..carry on culture and history about Balkan era.salut....
honestly never thought thet a Dhakayan neo-elitocratic sensation boy would ever bring such kind of content big heart for you brother
very moving. your idealism feels good.
Cheers
here we go - history according to the genocidal Serbs!
Can you explain to the audience how the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy was able to annex the "non-existent" state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1908.?
@@verbalDK1 sure bro, Austro Hungarian monarchy annexed part of the Otoman Empire west of Serbia at the time.
All the issues in ex Yugoslavia is about Great powers chopping of some parts. Being it Otoman Empire, Austro Hungarian monarchy, Nazzi Germany or European Union nowdays.
@@dusancville What else to expect from delusional Serbian serfs but denial...
But it's my fault for engaging in communication with genocidal Serbian zombies even though I know they are completely disconnected from consciousness, conscience, reality and truth.
p.s. your dad is your bro
History teacher we all wanted 💕
Horrified by those atrocities. In fact, such incidents are still ongoing in horrific manner. The Gaza strip is under blockade and siege for 15 years! Where is the end!
Very long video but instructive. ❤❤❤ from Bangladesh
man why are you so underrated
Brother amazing explanation, please do a video on the liberation war of Bangladesh.
Hi Nadir. I think that Sarajevo roses are marks where civilians were killed from shelling. Obviously there are many more spots were nobody was injured.
Thank you!
I heard little about Bosnian Genocide but this is much more worse than i even reckoned.. Heartbreaking really heartbreaking
7:00 half of the city was serb held and the other muslim sarajevo was 35 % serbs now its 99% muslim... so who commited cleansing on who?
You are awesome brother...
Hi, I am a history lover, you just added another great topic to my mind.
very informative video
bro I was struck in the video by the way you elaborate on each and every aspect of the bloakan massacre .

I also have a hobby of visiting and observing different architectural Roman civilizations. I hope you will visit more ancient countries and teach us different things.🖤🇧🇩
Loved it Nadir. You love history and bring it to life from the location. Reminded me of Nomadic Professor. Great work.
Woah ❤️ it was a captivating 21 minutes ❤️
As one old Arab saying goes...there's no bigger hatred than brother's hatred.

You are such a smart and kind young man. I love your videos. I SO want to play matchmaker with you and my 25 year old daughter who lives in Hawaii. :)
People just ignored bad times nowadays. When i was, saw that episode. I had a warm cup of tea with me. When i was Taken a single sip and thought that i am a bad person. Because when the Seige was on There were lots of people ignore those innocent people with a warm cup of coffee.
Personally I had just a sound knowledge about this siege, but Nadir help me a lot. Thank you
P.S: Your full video i just saw a person with full deep emotion which was hide on his eyes.
Im from Bosnia i was in the war i also spent 1 year in concentration camp i remember this day as they where yesterday still have nightmares about it a big chunk of my died true that day and i never been able to get myself on the right path....
Can you tel me where are you rom???
Literally a long waiting vlog
How do you decide which city/country you will visit next ?
Btw your contents are quite informative.
Oh our God,the tragedy was just horrible 💔
very nice bro
Hello Dear Nadir, Huge Thank for that ...Refreshing the Painfully time of part of Balkans "new" history. I remember that hard time looks like it was the day before yesterday. only one mistake its not civil war if someone declare you war bcs u want ppl to wote for independece or against it, and after declaration of war prepare everything for war by creating SAO Krajina without any right to it or any law that supports that
11:00 you think only one side used snipers? 😂😂 dont be silly
I get you feel for your fellow muslims but you have to stay real. No one through bananas on the other side
Love Bosnia 🇧🇦 from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
i myself have done few research on Bosnian Civil War. unfortunately never had the opportunity to visit Bosnia . The closest I have been to was Slovenia another beautiful country located west of Bosnia and I believe during the up rise in former Yugoslavia Slovenia was the first region which got its independence.
Yeah Slovenia and Croatia declared independence on the same day if I remember right
@@NadirOnTheGoYou are correct but Slovenia did not have to struggle like Croatia did.
You are making big mistake by saying Civil War it was not a Civil War it was aggression
it's not a mistake.. it's the AGENDA!
notice how he persistently relativizes the crimes of aggressors, how he equates us Bosniaks who were attacked and victims of genocide with genocidal aggressors and war criminals, how he carefully avoids mentioning the nation of those who attacked us, who killed our civilians and children, who shot the citizens of Sarajevo, who raped, who opened the KZ camps, who persecuted domestic people, who demolished ALL Muslim religious buildings in the occupied territory... just a dumb person can't see what this gypsy is doing here.
One correction: It wasn't a civil war, it was an aggression by Serbia and partly by Croatia, so ...
Great Man.... You are the pride of our Bangladesh...
As a Sarajevan who survived the Siege I am so glad you called out right wing nationalism. I am not even making a political statement here, it's just a warning to the rest of the world of what happens when you elect populist right wing nationalists. Because I would not wish to anyone to go through what we went through.
