Anything horror related in VR especially jump scares or being chased is freakin terrifying! There was a deep sea diving demo I used to have where you could explore various sea life in a VR world but if you went down too far there was a Megladon lurking around that would savagely attack and I’d rip my VR headset off every time! 😬
The scary videogame monster that scared/scarred me the most when I was young was the flaming disembodied skull that screechs and charges you on the first Doom remake on the original X-Box. Once u hear that scream u gotta spin around and locate it in about 1 second. And seeing that thing flying at ur face howling knowing ur screwed and basically instakill if it connects gave me nightmares and they come from anywhere at anytime.
The Minotaurs from the original Doom on PC were badass. They come charging from outta nowhere on the last level of the free version and unless you know the special maneuvers to kill them, they kill you pretty quick.
There's a running joke with me and two of my friends about how their younger brother was nervous about Yeta in LOZTP and he walked out of the room right before she flips out and yells "NOT TAKE MIRROR!".
Its really funny how secure we feel under a blanket as if it would protect us from some unseen entity or creature, but thank goodness it mostly in our minds

Not really as kid, but the Giant Depraved Ones from Demon's Souls always freaked me out because they're an actual threat, and the environment you fight them in, the Valley of Defilement, is one of the most horrific sections in a piece of fiction I've ever seen.
Video game enemy that disturbed the hell out of me as a kid was the Flood from Halo. I played that mission when you first encountered them when I was like 7. Up until that point it was all fun shooting at aliens and being a military badass. Then I guess Bungie was like "okay but what if it became a horror game?" Honestly I think that is what started my love for horror.
I've seen two bizzare burial sites: 1) in a suburb with a spot for very nice looking houses/small villa with sizable gardens, one garden had bushes planted along the fence, with one exception, where they went around one lonely tombstone. It was perfectly hidden from the house, but visible from the fence. It looked like 400-500 years old and was probably several miles from the nearest church, at least when it was built. That suburb used to be forest/agricultural land with no direct settlement. 2) a small graveyard with many peculiar inscriptions, such as _housewife in retirement..._ those graves were all from timeframe 1800-1900.

Which enemy unnerved me in a video-game? The Butler in Tombraider 3. I know it's not technically an enemy, but that thing creeped the hell out of me. I'd lock him in the freezer and you'd still hear him moaning and sighing. I swear he sometimes escaped from it too.
Several characters unnerved me as a kid. The murder babies in the grocery store from Zombies Ate My Neighbors on SNES was probably the worst. But in LOZ: Ocarina of Time, I hated those Deanhands that had a wide, toothy smile and looked like they were covered in blood. They just seemed so out of place in the game of all the characters. Even the Redeads made sense, but not those pale nightmare-fuel creatures.
For me? I think the very first thing to disturb me in a video game was those spiders with skulls on their bodies from Legend of Zelda Ocarnia of Time. I always had a thing against spiders as is, so those things was not an enemy I ever enjoyed being near given they was kinda big. Which got replaced for the giant spiders in Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles and Umbrella Chronicles, but what still unnerves me to this day? Regenerators and Iron Maidens from Resident Evil 4 tied with Trenchy from Resident Evil 2 Remake.

No one out there literally narrates the skinwalker and other ghost stories like you specially the sound effects of the monsters you add especially skinwalkers give the story a more creepy vibe like the monster is there with the listener as well 😁 hehe. The first two games I can think of are Deathtrap Dungeon: quite a few enemies are invulnerable, can only be killed with rare equipment, or in special situations, or have poison, while antivenom is a rare commodity... Plus, some enemies spawn endlessly behind you, no matter how many you kill... And this game is called Deathtrap for a reason... The Witcher 3: The Dutchess, some Witches and above all the Crones and Gaunther O Dim are very scary characters. It's not about brute strength or them showing off, but knowing how powerful they are...
For me it was the lickers from the OG Resident Evil or in the original xbox Doom where you open the door and whatever the heck it was, was in your face. First time I jumped and pulled the trigger and got lucky and 1 shot it, I could never replicate that afterward.
i get it from time to time not alot but it happens, trust me the less you panic the easier it is to move...because u will feel like you cant breath or move you MUST just relax, because trust me you are breathing even if you think that your not and pretty soon you will be able to move again and fully wake up! yes it does make you feel like you dont want to go back to sleep but you will be alright...I've gone back to sleephoping it wont happen again but it has before... come back everytime ive gone back to sleep 4 times was the worst ive had all in the same night but YOU ARE FINE< YOU ARE BREATHING AND YOU WILL wake up! i promise, been there-got the t shirt x be happy! all is cool x kim

Great stuff!!.. enthralled me!!.. short, sweet and entertaining second story about the creature seen while about to take a selfie!!.. scary too!!.. The third story is even more intriguing, scary and actually thought provoking if i must say.. mysterious creature coming after the writer too!!.. super!!.. fantastic fourth story!!.. enthralling!!..
Why do all of these TH-cam horror storytellers excessively use overly demonic and computerized voices when the writer clearly says things like "the old woman whispered" or "it was my brother's voice". Am I the only one that thinks the over exaggerated monster voice totally kills the mood when it's 100% the opposite of what you expect based on what the writer is trying to portray?
"He follows from Forest S" has to be BS... I do believe in certain cryptids and I believe certain people stories. Their stories unfortunately fall apart though when they talk about having a cell phone and zooming in to see a cryptid etc. You had your phone out and pointing at this thing, but didn't get 1 single shot of it? Sure.... Sure... Don't know how when people are writing these they don't see their own plot holes.

"He follows from Forest S" has to be BS... I do believe in certain cryptids and I believe certain people stories. Their stories unfortunately fall apart though when they talk about having a cell phone and zooming in to see a cryptid etc. You had your phone out and pointing at this thing, but didn't get 1 single shot of it? Sure.... Sure... Don't know how when people are writing these they don't see their own plot holes.
