So I agree with the idea that religion is an expression of faith - but isn't faith defined as a belief in something that cannot be readily/obviously proven? If so, is that "something" not an integral part of religion itself?
No religion is the path to that. The journey to that destination. The problem is that we stop during the journey to look around us and we stay there instead of pushing forward. That something is not something proven or disproven. The path is an illusion really. There is no path. We are just experiencing something and weve built systems based on that to understand it. The experience really is us. Its all a tool for self help.
