One thing I like about the Walmart MasterCard is that when you make an in-store purchase & you need to return that item but no longer have your receipt, Customer Service can trace back that purchase in their system & still process the refund without the receipt.

Walmart prices on the same item are different in store versus online (and no, I'm not talking about 3rd party sellers on the Walmart website). If you scan a barcode in store with the Walmart app, it shows you the price in that store (based on your GPS location). But there is a tab for Walmart online that shows you the current price of that same item online. It is almost always more on the website than in store. This is because clearance prices in store do not affect the website prices. As a matter of fact, it is inconsistent between Walmart stores, as well. The same item can cost more in one store than it does a few miles away in another Walmart store. The Walmart website will not match store prices. Also, the Walmart stores will not match other Walmart stores' prices. But the Walmart stores will match Walmart website prices (not counting 3rd party sellers). But this rarely is cheaper in this direction.
Adam, You would think that target is a huge competitive store to them. The target red card gives you 5 percent off your entire order even on sales. You can also use the card in store and still get 5 percent off. The target red card can be upgraded to a MasterCard also. Not sure how long that takes to become the master card. If anything they could offer 3 percent back on in store purchases after the first year. Something to set them apart from other 2 percent cards.
It’s my oldest account, about 5 years old. I got it when I was working there and still always get my groceries online from their website so it works out. My sign up bonus was a 2 liter of soda so I’m glad I got better at the credit card game since then 😂
Congrats Winston! I find Capital One to be a little cheap with me, one of my friends had 660 credit score and he got $300 on the MasterCard I am a little apprehensive about applying. I have six cards with Capital One and I have an 812 credit score so I would like to think they would give me at least $3000. I have the Walmart store card that I have had for about four years started at $1300 one increase a few years ago it is now $1600, but my credit score was in the 600s at that time. They refused to increase my limit due to insufficient use of the card. But I would use the MasterCard a lot more if I had it. Maybe I might take a chance and pull the trigger for the MasterCard, wish me luck!💗

Walmart has good deals on large purchases sometimes. Ill be buying my new phone with this card as soon as it arrives. Also for ordering my groceries ahead of time and picking them up, which saves me the depression and misery of actually being inside a disgusting walmart building
I have both of these credit cards and I can confirm that you cannot transfer them to the Venture X, or at all. You can cash them as a check, use them to book travel on the Capital One Travel portal, use them to pay back an expense on the card, and there's a couple other less useful redemption methods.
Im glad i only got approved for $300... Im building my credit. But i also dont wanna be tempted to spend more if i were approved for say like $2k. I really got it for groceries and other small items, like motor oil and white tube socks, lol 😂. **Paying it off within 30 days is important for me to build my credit and not incur the high interest rate.

Gift cards are capped at 2% cashback even if you order them on their website/app. The only way to get 5% back in store after the first year is to order for "pick up today" from the app/website and pick up in the store the same day.
Can you buy an item online, then return it at a later date and request a refund in store credit? Then you keep the 5% cash back, and spend the credit in store and on gas

You can't upgrade from the store card to the MasterCard you'd probably have to close the card and reapply to see if you get approved for the MasterCard.
no, you cant transfer rewards from walmart mastercard to another Cap1 card unless its not a store branded card which in this case the card is, the only difference is its a signature card. But you can redeem them for travel or anything else just like any other card of theirs.

I just cancelled the card. First their website is suck and I can’t login online then when I enroll in paperless they do not send me a statement and finally I have to phone in to check my balance. This is so annoying. What a garbage

i applied for that card and they told me i would be contacted. they called and asked for a picture of my Drivers License Card Front & Back and they sent me the link and they waited on line until i taken the picture and sent it back then they said ok we have the pictures. they put me on hold then they came back and told me i was approved they didn't tell me i was approved of the store card or the Mastercard so when i got the card it was a mastercard with a $500.00 Limit. so i went to walmart and tried to use it it was declined. i called them to see what was going on they said they had to confirm my indentity and they restricted the card i told them i had already did that process and they told me i had to wait a few weeks for approval all over ...

Don’t think you need to send more documents. All I did was use the pre approved code they had sent me and just put information and I got approved a couple mins later

The 2% in stores is the downside to this card. It should be 5% for online and in store.

Same here with a 771 Fico credit score. $3000 CL is enough for me

You can't upgrade from the store card to the MasterCard you'd probably have to close the card and reapply to see if you get approved for the MasterCard.
