Thank you for sharing a great video. I moved to the United States from Japan in 1979 and spent about three months based in Virginia that studying music. We rented our own car and arrived at the Hiltons and had a good time. The wonderful performances of Bill Monroe and his Bluegrass Boys, Tex Logan, Pete Rowan, Lamar Grier, Barry Mitterhoff , McClain Family and Whites and the audience were able to touch your personality. I have special memories of Joe and Janette, and I will never forget your kindness.
Earl, That was some great footage of the life of the Carters. I have been to the Carter Fold several times, I can see a Class Reunion trip to the Fold !!
How funny is it that my last name is Carter ...and I'm also a musician(even went to college on a music scholarship)...and I love the mountains and outdoors...but yet I'm not related to these fine folks...as far as I know
This is a super tribute to entire Carter Fold Story! What a great piece!!!
Great video. I love carter family music and their traditional sound. I hope to visit the fold one day.
