Allison Rowley well that’s kind of their job? To know about the products and help customers choose what’s right for them. While I’m not saying I agree with how little they are paid, they are literally hired for that purpose.
@@its.albert.510 Honestly, If you told me about a skin concern you have, or a makeup item you're interested in, I could easily give you a list of reccomendations off the top of my head, and even give you a rundown on the newest releases, just from the "research" I do in my spare time. I'm not saying that to "brag" or act like I know a lot, I'm just saying most of it is actually common knowledge for people who are really into makeup and those who seek makeup related jobs. That kind of information is basically a prerequisite for working in makeup, even if you're just starting out.

I temp everyday. Do new job every day. Sometimes I end up training their employees, cause Ive seen the job done better. But a one off holiday hire is just trying to collect a check for three months lolz.

Exactly. Gardner is great at portraying these Update characters, but they all seem to have the same arc. Everything's fine and they then deteriorate into self-doubt, anger, etc. She portrays them very well, but other than the boxer's gf which was funny the first time (and a bit stale the second), it's more cringe than laughs. She's an amazing character actress, but not all of the characters are funny.

Heidi uses her whole body like an acting tool not a wasted moment and total commitment, she is light years ahead of the rest of the cast except for Kate. Though I must say that most of the women on this show have got some serious chops-but I tune in every week to see Heidi she is a triple threat smart,sexy and funny, what a killer.
You can't leave out Cecily Strong. She's at least as good as Heidi.

The women are definitely the current strength of SNL. Very professional. I never feel let down by Cecily or Kate or Heidi. Meanwhile a lot of the guys corpse constantly through scenes.
I love Heidi. You can tell she actually practices her characters rather than just having a vague idea and staring at a teleprompter the whole time.
I’m pretty sure all the SNL cast “practice their characters”.. they help write the stuff for god sakes.

What’s incredible to me is that there’s a staffer at Goop who says the company name exactly like Heidi’s character here: “Gewp.” She’s prominent in the Netflix series and it stuck out to me as being incredibly annoying! Idk I just love little details like that. To me it shows how much work and thought really goes into Heidi’s original characters. Very very very well done!

I'm happy to see that Heidi is keeping up the recent SNL tradition of strong women comedians. Most recently, it was Wiig coming in when Amy left. Then it was Kate coming in when Wiig was ready to leave. Now, when Kate might be ready to leave in the next few seasons to do more movies or a sitcom, Heidi is starting to shine as the go-to girl in original character skits and impersonations.
