  • In 2022 Accelerate Estonia was joined by Creatomus Solutions OÜ who were developing a construction system called Pattern Buildings, which allows modular construction of buildings, whilst reducing CO2, accurately predicting costs and cutting down on construction time. The system enables buildings to be expanded, taken apart or moved elsewhere, thanks to innovative construction practices and standardised modules. Now the first Pattern Building is actually ready and in use - Elektrilevi’s training centre in Kiili, Estonia.
We gathered the different parties who played their part in constructing the first Pattern Building to hear how it came to life and what they learned in the process. Elektrilevi’s Head of Asset Management Rasmus Armas, the constructor of the building, EstNor’s CEO Renee Mikomägi and the head of Creatomus Solutions OÜ Renee Puusepp, who has been the leader of the project from its conception with the Timber Architecture Research Center PAKK at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
