In this video, I tested and compared some of the best edit binds on PC (Mouse & Keyboard). I gave a summary and score for each key bind tested to help you decide which edit bind suits you the most! At the end, I ranked all the edit binds accordingly to my opinion.

I use e when solid editing and when in courses on like running while editing I use f
I’ve stuck with my z x c v keybinds and the only thing I changed is wall and ramp which are now Q for wall and thumb mouse button 4 for ramp

I use G because is was my default edit bind when I started, and I've just stuck with it ever since and became pretty good with it

I played like 8 months with G bind on edit and i changed to F bind a week ago and im alot better noe
I was g till 2 weeks ago changed to shift and now 10 times better can move without taking finger off d and pinky sits there and ready when ever I need to edit

Top mouse button for wall bottom for stair e for floor shift for cone v for edit f for use
I edit with left shift and q is my floor, e is cone, and my side mouse buttons are wall and stair. My Pickaxe is c and my item slots are r, f, x , z, and t
I have been using c with my thumb for a long time and i love it
I know this seems weird but after this vid i instead of choosing v for edit i choose b it feels so good to have full movement while editing
I use the thumb mouse bottom for editing

Try tilting ur keyboard to 45 degrees and practice hitting it. It worked for me
I use shift and release but I've realised now for good mechanics its not that good even after a year of using it because the pinky is the weakest finger you have so its just slower when trying to edit super fast

I dont use shift but its easy to use because if u play any other games that require tapping the shift key quickly for any mechanic (like speedbridging in minecraft) u wont have any issues
I've used Right mousebutton to edit for few months now and it is not that bad.for ppl who wonder what i use for aiming, its middle mouse button.
I THINK YOU CAN ALSO USE LEFT CTRL TO EDIT I USE IT AND ITS GOOD
i was usin Q to my edit bind but now i realized that it limits your right angle pick and muuch more now i changed it to E thaanks bro

when i first started playing my friend used shift so i copied him and now im used to it
I have a taser viper mini so I use right thumb mouse button and the bottom one is reset I think it is w but I’m thinking of putting it as a key please tell me what I should do

Here's something that I haven't seen mentioned before but that I think is very important to note: if you click C/V with your index finger, use F to edit; if you click C/V with your thumb, use E to edit. This is so that your index finger extends upward comfortably to edit and so that it does not have to move out to the side (G editors) or bend (C editors).

if people used their thumb to edit, why should they use E? That's learning a new bind
@@Peezs If they use their thumb to edit, stick with it because it’s the most optimal method in my opinion (V is the best bind for thumb editing, I agree). I’m saying that if they use C for something such as a build bind on their index finger (ex. x8 uses C for floor), they should use F as it’s closer to C than E. But, if they use their thumb for something such as a build bind (like you with roof on V), they should use E.

I use E with Q as my roof and F as floor with the thumb buttons on mouse as ramp and wall i highly recommend it
It’s the same for me but I edit with F, my cone is on E and floor on Q
@@aa-p2pi recommened using shift and v with f or e to edit because this allows u to have more control on your movement also while having ur fingers never have to be taken off of ur build or edit bind. and the other fingers could be used for pulling out ur pickaxe since scroll wheel up for pickup is highly recommended over pickaxe
I just changed my binds 4 days ago. I have the floor on Shift and cone on C. Anyways, thanks for the comment!

Reset - mouse wheel down (scroll wheel reset)

i dont recommened this since u have no control over your movement. recommened using shift and c with 2 side mouse buttons and v to edit. those allow u to have full control and with ur thumb its super easy to move from v and c. and you dont need ur index moving to hit 2 keybinds. now if u dont need full control on ur movement. i still recommend these because ur ring finger and index finger can be used to pull out ur shotgun or pickaxe when editing. unless u use scroll wheel up pickaxe but i highly recommend using that for pickup which allows you to win more 50/50’s because auto pickup guns doesnt always work

I have used f since I started playing fortnite on PC which was like season 5 I started fortnite in the end of season 2 on Xbox. Althought after season X I stopped playing until 3 seasons ago and was thinking of switching to E but forgot.
see i would use v but my floor is c do not convenient when doing high ground retakes
I use R because when I used E it was to close to w and I would mess up all the time
I’m on controller when I play keyboard and mouse I use 1 of the mouse side buttons I might switch to E and use one of the side mouse buttons as the interact bind and I might switch to keyboard and mouse

What would be best for me to use v to edit?
Use f or c, I was thinking about c because on one side (x) you can use floor and on the other (v) can be cone and stair and wall are mouse buttons
I am using right alt as my edit button and now i want to change that bc its awkward
so i’ve been progressing on being able to clip people and etc and i use shift. I just want to make sure of this but it’s because of me not having zero ping that i get pushed under cones and stairs right? also just stuff registering in a little later than others with good wifi.
Uh I mean if ur talking 50+ ping then maybe but anything under I dont think so. It's mostly timing

When I try to edit with G it opens the edit wheel how can I fix it?

same b is just easier than c
If you use g for editing it's easier to press it when your keyboard is in 90 decrease

I'm new to keyboard and mouse and i'm still trying to find good binds, i'm using scroll wheel reset just like you so I can't use double binds for edits, that makes me slower than I was on controller. Do you have any advice?

i use Q bc all of my builds i use my pointer finger shift is my cone so i find q as the most flexible bind for me
i use q aswell broo!! i use my pointer finger for ramp (f) wall (g) floor (h) and ramp on mouse button 5

I would recommend u to edit with f and pickup with anything like g, pickup isn't that important, u can even use scroll wheel which will give you insane pickup speed
no G is too far would recommend using something that is close like E, F, or something you are comfortable with. once you use a bind you like i wouldnt change it because it completly messes you up and you hit a major decline in skill level.

Honestly i prefer c with edit on release because I can do double edits faster thats what made me change from F to C but I will tell all of you new players on pc USE F NOT C when you get better try C its akward to use at first but than after a day or two you can edit faster but thats my opion I hope that helped you new pc players.
